    Enjoy your meal!

    • You can add any vegetables to the stew to your taste. For example, these could be zucchini, green peas, tomatoes and bell peppers;
    • In addition to the spices specified in the recipe, you can add any other seasonings to your taste. These are “Khmeli-suneli”, and paprika, and coriander, and ground red pepper on the tip of a knife;
    • To prepare a delicious juicy stew, you need to choose good quality meat. First of all, pay attention to the color of the pork: it should be light or dark pink, the lard should be white, and the meat itself should not be chapped.

    According to one of the legends, one of the most popular dishes peace - stew - arose thanks to... The Hundred Years' War. Residents of one of the besieged towns of the French Languedoc long puzzled over how they could hold out during the siege and with minimum quantity food. While negotiations were going on, it was decided to build a fire right on the square and install a large cauldron on it. Every resident of the city threw at him what they found at home. Some - vegetables, some - pieces of meat, mushrooms, legumes, bread. The end result was delicious and nutritious dish- the prototype of a modern stew.

    Despite the fact that stew can be made from anything, there are still certain cooking rules, following which you can get a really tasty dish.

    1. For the stew, you can choose any meat - pork, beef, poultry. The main thing is that it contains small pieces of fat. This will give the stew a rich flavor. And you definitely need to fry it in advance to “seal” the taste.

    2. Vegetable stew in a slow cooker or saucepan can include any vegetables you like, but only onions are required. True, the French believe that another mandatory ingredient is legumes - beans, green peas.

    3. All ingredients should be cut the same way - into cubes, into cubes, into strips, into strips.

    4. The liquid in which the vegetable stew will be stewed in a slow cooker can be anything - beer, wine, broth, or tomato juice. In our case even plain water does not spoil this gorgeous vegetable stew with zucchini at all.

    5. Vegetable oil for frying ingredients should be odorless.

    6. To make the sauce thick and rich, you can add various thickeners to it - flour, pieces of bread, ground crackers. This is not in our recipe, but try experimenting - it turns out very tasty and satisfying.

    7. You can choose the spices for the stew at your own discretion, but you should remember that a maximum of two ingredients should “salt” the dish.

    As you can see, all these rules are not difficult to follow, so preparing stew is quite simple. You can vary the ingredients at your own discretion by adding cabbage, pumpkin, and peppers to the vegetable stew in the slow cooker. It will still turn out delicious and satisfying.

    Recipe vegetable stew with meat in a slow cooker

    We will prepare vegetable stew with pork and mushrooms in the Philips HD 3039 multicooker.

    Traditionally, we start preparing the dish by preparing the meat. The pork fillet will need to be washed, dried and cut into cubes - approximately 2x2-3x3 cm.

    Next, we begin to prepare the vegetables. The carrots must be peeled, washed, grated or cut into cubes, as required by the recipe for vegetable stew in a slow cooker.

    Peel the onion, soak in cold water 2 minutes, so that no tears flow when cutting, and chop finely.

    Rinse the champignons thoroughly. To prevent the mushrooms from absorbing excess moisture, do not leave them in water for a long time. If necessary, mushrooms can be cleaned. Then cut them into slices.

    Wash the zucchini, like all other vegetables. If the vegetable is overripe and stale (these usually remain from an old harvest), then it is necessary to peel it from the thick, rough peel, cut it in half and remove all the seeds. U young zucchini the skin is usually thin, soft, the seeds are small and also soft, so you don’t have to peel it, but immediately cut it into small cubes.

    The tomato needs to be doused with very hot water or placed in boiling water for just a few seconds. Then remove and peel the vegetable - after exposure to hot water it should peel off easily. Cut it into cubes.

    Peel the potatoes, rinse and also cut into cubes.

    As soon as all the vegetables are ready for cooking, we proceed directly to preparing the stew.

    Pour sunflower oil into the multicooker bowl and place the meat in it. After closing the lid, select the “Frying” function on the multicooker control panel, and “Meat” from the list of products. Let's start roasting.

    After 10-15 minutes, as soon as the meat begins to acquire a golden hue, place the carrots and onions in the bowl. Fry for 3 minutes on the same “Frying” function set earlier.

    After the allotted time, add the mushrooms to the foods to be fried and cook further. In total, half an hour is allotted for processing the products, since we already spent about 15-20 minutes on meat and vegetables, which means we fry the mushrooms for the remaining time. But if it is not enough, we extend the frying time by setting the “Frying” function again.

    As soon as the water that the champignons gave has evaporated, and the mushrooms themselves have acquired a golden hue, add the potatoes, tomatoes and zucchini to the multicooker bowl.
