Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and place the pangasius in one layer. Fish dishes are not only extremely tasty, but also very healthy. It should be present in the diet of children and adults at least 3 times a week. The decoration of a family dinner or holiday table will be aromatic salmon with oranges and rosemary in the oven. It’s not at all difficult to prepare; it’s much more difficult to resist the smells that spread throughout the apartment and cause a beastly appetite.

Taste and benefits

In the 20th century, the International Festival “Around the Christmas Table” was held in Poland, where salmon baked with aromatic oranges and rosemary became the best dish at the holiday. It’s hard to argue with this, because the fish really turns out to be very tasty, unusually aromatic, and thanks to the citrus fruits, juicy and soft.

The combination of orange with the most delicate pink pulp is an amazing taste that will not leave any gourmet indifferent. The dish can be served as a main course for a holiday, for example, New Year, Christmas, birthday. Your loved ones will not refuse this culinary masterpiece even on an ordinary day, so you can safely cook it for dinner.

The secret of delicious cooking lies not in a large number of specially selected seasonings, but in the juicy pulp of oranges, which saturate the fish during marinating and baking. Cooks do not recommend adding mayonnaise, mustard, sour cream and other sauces to the recipe, since salmon is a self-sufficient product in its taste. In addition, this is one of the most valuable and healthiest varieties of fish, so it has absolutely no need for additives in the form of preservatives.

When baked, salmon is well absorbed by children and adults. It is a rich source of protein, as well as magnesium, iodine, calcium, phosphorus, zinc and other micro- and macroelements essential for health. A 100-gram serving contains half the daily protein requirement for an adult. Salmon is twice as high in calories as white fish and contains unsaturated fatty acids. They are indispensable for the normal functioning of the cardiovascular system and are necessary for expectant mothers. Fatty fish increases visual acuity and improves brain function, lowers cholesterol in the blood and strengthens the immune system.

Ways to prepare delicious chicken rolls with dried apricots

Proper baking does not require adding a large amount of vegetable oil. Just wrap the fish in foil or place it on it. The oranges will help the salmon release its juice, in which it will soak and cook.

Each housewife can diversify the recipe and make it her own. So, some people prefer to first fry tender steaks until a crust forms, and then put them in the oven. The dish is no less tasty without frying, and baking on a grill with smoke will give it a special piquancy.

Roasting a whole carcass

This recipe does not require cutting the carcass into steaks. The fish should first be cleaned of scales, rinsed well and dipped in a paper towel. The carcass should be dry so that the orange juice is absorbed into it as much as possible. Carefully remove the spine, rub the piece with salt and pour generously with a mixture of lemon and orange juices.

There is no need to marinate the fish for a long time, because the tender pulp is soaked quite quickly. After an hour, you can continue cooking, having managed to figure out during this time what side dish will be served with the salmon.

Make not too deep cuts on the fish from the skin side. Cut the orange into thin slices. It is better to take juicy varieties so that the pulp is not fibrous and dry. Insert half circles into each cut made. Another orange will be needed to make a “pillow” for baking. Place citrus slices on foil or on the bottom of a baking dish.

In the oven at 180-190 degrees, the salmon should be baked for about 25-30 minutes. After cooking the hot fish, you need to carefully remove the skin. Before serving, the dish should be transferred to a plate. It does not require additional serving, because it already looks aesthetically pleasing and appetizing. Potatoes are suitable as a side dish. Fresh vegetables are optional; they do not go well with fish in citrus fruits.

Both adults and children will really like the fish. There are practically no bones in the pulp, it turns out very tender and juicy. The next day, cold steaks are also quite edible and no worse than hot ones.

Juicy steaks

A simple and quick recipe can be used to surprise guests or please loved ones with a healthy and tasty dish. Both fresh and thawed carcass will do. For 1 kg of fish you will need:

  • 2 oranges;
  • a pinch of rosemary;
  • 0.5 teaspoon of Provençal herbs;
  • 1 bunch of fresh dill and parsley.
  • salt to taste.

Chicken chops stuffed in batter

Cut the carcass into steaks of equal thickness. You don’t have to remove the backbone, so the pieces won’t fall apart during baking. Season each serving with rosemary, rub with a mixture of Provençal herbs, and add salt to taste. You can leave the fish to marinate for 20-30 minutes.

Cut oranges into rings. If you wish, you can remove the peel from them immediately before baking, if you can do it carefully, because this will make it much more convenient to enjoy the finished dish. Then you need to place a slice on each steak, pour orange juice on top.

The salmon should be placed immediately in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. If you put the fish in a cold oven, it will turn out tough, the consistency will resemble boiled rather than baked flesh. Place each steak on a citrus slice on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-30 minutes, transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped herbs.

Since salmon is not a very fatty variety, it can be safely combined with sour cream or butter. These additives will not worsen the taste; on the contrary, they will make it even more delicate. The recipe involves baking steaks on a bed of onions. This base will provide additional juice, which will soak each piece on one side. The steaks are covered with citrus on top, which also allows them to be saturated with aromatic juice.

The finished salmon simply melts in your mouth thanks to the special sauce. For cooking The following products will be required:

  • 0.5 kg fillet;
  • 4 tsp. mild mustard;
  • 4 tbsp. l. cream 25% fat;
  • 50 ml olive oil;
  • 2 medium sized onions;
  • green onions, parsley and dill;
  • rosemary and any fish spices to taste;
  • 2 oranges;
  • 1 lemon;
  • 150 grams of hard grated cheese.

The whole process takes about 50 minutes. This time can be counted if there will be guests soon and you need to set the festive table with a delicious hot dish.

Olive oil should be mixed with mustard, squeeze the juice from halves of a lemon and an orange. Mix well, add salt and seasonings. Rub a whole piece of salmon with this marinade so that it is well soaked on all sides. Leave the fillet in the aromatic composition for 15-20 minutes, and in the meantime you can use other ingredients.

Potato soufflé with cheese

Cut the onion into thin rings; instead of the usual onion, you can use leeks, then the taste of the dish will be even more delicate. Chop all the greens; you can use the quantity at your discretion. Mix dill, onion, parsley, add a small amount of mustard and cream. The resulting mass will be the basis for baking. Grease the mold with it, place the fish, and place orange slices on top. Another layer of cream sauce is applied to the fruit pieces.

The baking sheet should be placed in the oven, preheated to 220 °C, and wait half an hour. 2-3 minutes before the salmon is ready, sprinkle with grated cheese. As soon as the cheese layer melts and acquires a light golden hue, the slaves are ready.

Inside you get very juicy and tender pulp of a pleasant pink hue, and on top there is a very appetizing filling of creamy sauce with citrus and cheese. There will definitely not be anyone left indifferent at the table!
