Ingredients:

  • egg - 1 pc
  • milk - 225 ml
  • flour - 2 cups
  • sugar - 2/3 cup (two thirds)
  • soda - 0.5 tsp.
  • baking powder - 0.5 tsp
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • orange - 1 piece
  • water - 1 glass
  • vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons

Preparation:

Pour slightly warmed milk into a bowl, add one yolk and half the sugar. Whisk the contents with a mixer or whisk. After beating, we get a fluffy mass. Add flour mixed with baking powder to the egg-milk mass. Mix the dough.

Pour in ground cinnamon and soda slaked with vinegar.

Add separately whipped egg white, gently mix it into the dough. To make the dough more fluffy, stir in the protein with a spoon up and down movements. The result is a very soft and airy mass.

Last of all, pour in refined vegetable oil, mix again.

Cut the orange into rings. Pour a glass of water into the pan, add the remaining sugar. While stirring, bring the syrup to a boil. We spread the orange rings, boil for about 10 minutes. After that, take out the oranges, and save the syrup in which they were cooked.

Put the caramelized orange rings on the bottom of the multicooker bowl, having previously greased it with vegetable oil.

Pour all the dough over the oranges. We turn on the baking program for 45 minutes.

Half an hour after the start of the multicooker, open the lid and pour the remaining syrup from the pan over the cake. You will see how the liquid is instantly absorbed into the biscuit.

We keep the cake in the same mode of operation of the multicooker for another 15 minutes, after which we turn off the unit and open its lid. Let the cake cool down. After about an hour, the cake can be removed from the bowl.

Carrot and orange pie in a slow cooker

This simple, tasty and very healthy treat can be prepared especially for children who flatly refuse to eat carrots. Inside the pie, it will be difficult for fastidious people to feel an unloved vegetable.

Here are the ingredients we need:

  • large sweet carrot - 1 pc .;
  • egg - 3 pcs.;
  • sugar - 150 g;
  • wheat flour - 250 g;
  • vegetable oil - 7 tbsp. l .;
  • soda - 0.5 tsp;
  • apple cider vinegar;
  • salt - 2 tsp;
  • lemon juice - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • orange peel - 1 tbsp l.

How to cook orange and carrot pie in a slow cooker:

  1. First, let's get down to making the dough. Break the eggs into a deep bowl, add salt and beat with a mixer or blender. If there is no special technique, use a whisk or fork.
  2. When the mass foams, add sugar in small portions, without stopping whipping. After 5 minutes, the egg mass will turn white and increase in size.
  3. Now let's get down to stuffing. Wash and peel the carrots, chop them on a fine grater. How many carrots you need for your cake, decide for yourself. If the root vegetable is very juicy, you can use only part of it, as long as the dough does not come out too thick. Therefore, it is best to put grated carrots into the dough gradually and stir constantly.
  4. Chop the orange peel, squeeze the required amount of juice from the lemon. Add the ingredients to the egg mixture and stir.
  5. Now season the dough with vegetable oil and mix well. Use apple cider vinegar to pay off baking soda. Then send the soda to the dough.
  6. To make the dough fluffy, sift the flour through a sieve. When you combine the flour with the rest of the ingredients, gently stir the mixture.
  7. Fill the cooking bowl with the prepared dough and program “Baking” for 1 hour.

We assure you that the carrot-orange pie will exceed all your expectations. If you followed the instructions carefully, the baked goods will rise well, and you will hardly feel the taste of baking soda, unlike carrots and orange peel.
