  • margarine or butter - 200 g
  • flour - 1 kg

  • starch - 2 tbsp.
  • universal baking powder for all types of baked goods - 1 pack

Recipe strawberry pie:

Heat the milk slightly and pour into a small saucepan. Add about 12 teaspoons of sugar and all the salt specified in the recipe there. Break the eggs. Stir.


Gently sift the flour into a large bowl through a sieve. This gives the dough airiness and softness.


Add yeast and baking powder, stir.


Pour the milk mixture into the flour in a thin stream. It is better to mix with your hands so that there are no lumps.


Melt margarine (butter) in a saucepan over a water bath (or in the microwave, this will take about 2 minutes). An alternative is to simply remove it from the freezer long before preparing the pie. Mix softened margarine into the dough.


Knead the dough until it is completely smooth and comes away from your hands. If you don’t want to lag behind, add refined sunflower oil to your hands.

Throw the finished dough into a bowl or onto a board ten times. The more it beats, the tastier the baked goods will be. Then place the dough in a bowl and cover with a kitchen towel. Let it sit like this for about an hour. If you want to speed up the fermentation process, you can place the bowl in a slightly warm oven or in the sun.

After an hour, punch down the dough and let it ferment again. He has to rise again.


While the dough is rising, you can start filling the pie. Wash the strawberries well and remove leaves. There is no need to sprinkle the strawberries with sugar in advance - otherwise the filling will be too wet and the pie will burn.


Cut the finished dough into two unequal parts: the first (the larger one) will be the base of the pie, and the second will be used for decoration. Place the main part of the dough in a thin layer on a baking sheet, greased with sunflower oil, and form sides so that the strawberry juice does not leak out.


Gently sprinkle the dough with starch: this will prevent the juice from flowing under the pie and burning it.

Now make decorations from the remaining dough: thin strips can be used to form a “lattice” for the pie.
