Preparation

  1. Dough: for this, mix yeast, water and flour. Mix everything well until smooth. Add vegetable oil, salt and mix again until smooth. Knead the dough, lightly dusting it with flour, until it is smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Roll the dough into a ball, cover it with a towel and leave for 1 hour in a warm place until it has doubled in volume.
  2. Tomato sauce: finely chop the onion and garlic, grate the tomatoes on a coarse grater. Fry the onion in olive oil, add garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar and oregano, fry and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Filling: cut cheese and salami into circles, chop arugula coarsely.

To prepare the dough we need flour, salt, water, olive oil and yeast.
