Homemade peanut sausage. Sweet sausage made from cookies: various recipe options

Most people prefer homemade sweets to store-bought delicacies. Since preparing cookies, cakes, rolls, cheesecakes and other products takes a lot of time and effort, simple, affordable options for preparing goodies have become popular. For example, a recipe for sweet sausage does not require special culinary talents and does not require long-term kneading or heat treatment of the product. This delicacy can be served with tea and coffee, or used to decorate a holiday table. It has an unusually delicate taste and literally melts in your mouth. Neither adults nor children refuse to enjoy this dessert.

A few words about preparing sweets

The basis of the sweet sausage is biscuits and butter. To color it brown and give it a light chocolate aroma, add cocoa or a melted chocolate bar. To make the dessert not only tasty, but also healthy (and also nutritious), you should add raisins, prunes and different types of nuts (peanuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, etc.) to it.

For the classic recipe, it is best to use biscuits without additives. If you want to make the delicacy more tender, you can use crumbly sugar cookies. The drier and harder the flour product, the more milk (and other softeners) you will need to add during cooking.

Some people add cottage cheese when kneading the sweet mass. This product turns out to be especially soft and tasty, but cannot be stored in the refrigerator for longer than 3 days.

Classic sweet sausage recipe

Those who have not practiced cooking sweets that resemble sausage in shape and appearance should start experimenting with the classic recipe. It is not complicated and even a novice cook can do it. For the treat you will need:

  • 400 grams of cookies
  • 200 grams of butter (store-bought, preferably at least 60% fat)
  • 200 grams of granulated sugar (it’s easier to use powder)
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 5-7 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup shelled walnuts

First you need to prepare all the components. The cookies are divided in half (possibly into 3 parts) and 1/2 of them are crushed into powder. You can crush the product in a mortar or use a blender. The remaining baked goods should be broken into small pieces and mixed with the powdered mass.

The walnuts are lightly crushed and mixed with the cookies. Separately, in a saucepan, cocoa is poured with milk, sugar or powder is added, everything is mixed and brought to a boil, after which it is immediately removed from the heat. While the mixture has not cooled, you need to cut the butter into cubes and stir in it until the milk fat is completely dissolved. The result should be a thick porridge without lumps or grains.

Add the mixture of nuts and cookies into the chocolate-butter mixture in portions, stirring everything until smooth.

You will need to lay cling film on a table or cutting board, place the product on top of it and shape it into a cylinder (sausage), then wrap it tightly and place it in the refrigerator after cooling to harden (at least 2 hours).

The sausage can be stored in the freezer for up to 1 month, however, before serving, it must be transferred to the general compartment of the refrigerator and kept there for at least 4 hours (so that it softens a little).

Chocolate sausage with candied fruits

Lovers of delicious healthy foods will certainly be pleased with the sweet chocolate sausage with candied fruits. This is a quick dish; it won’t take more than half an hour to prepare. To make sweets, you need:

  • 0.5 kg cookies
  • 1 glass of homemade or full-fat store-bought milk
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 50 grams of butter with at least 60% fat content
  • 150 grams of candied fruits

The cookies are crushed to a state close to powder, similar manipulations are performed with candied fruits, then both products are mixed and placed in a deep container in which it is convenient to knead the sausage dough.

Milk is mixed with sugar, poured into an enamel bowl and brought to a boil over low heat. It is necessary that the sugar dissolves completely, but the liquid does not boil away. Next, add butter and stir everything until it completely melts.

Liquid milk mass is poured into the mixture of cookies with candied fruits, everything is kneaded with a spatula and then laid out on cling film. You will need to form the product into something like a sausage and, after cooling to room temperature, place it in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours. It is best to make dessert in the evening, the day before the day you plan to serve the treat.

If you take marmalade instead of candied fruits and cut it into small cubes, the dessert will turn out softer and more delicate, and also very attractive in appearance.

Chocolate sausage with condensed milk

Fresh milk and sugar can be replaced with condensed milk. It will make a sweet sausage no worse than a classic one, and it’s easier and faster to prepare. To prepare you need:

  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 500 grams biscuits
  • 180 grams of butter (from 73% fat)
  • 70 grams cocoa

The cookies are crushed by hand, then filled with condensed milk and kneaded until smooth.

The butter is melted over low heat or a water bath, then mixed with cocoa and this mixture is added to the cookies with condensed milk. It is best to shape the products while the food is still warm. Next, you need to let the sausages cool and put them in the refrigerator for several hours.

The sweetness is served cut into thin slices or slices; it serves as an excellent addition to tea and coffee, or can be used to decorate cakes.

Sausage made from biscuit mass

After baking sponge cakes (during the preparation of cakes and other confectionery products), food waste often remains - crumbs and small pieces of baked dough. You can make a delicious sweet from them - chocolate sausage. For it you will need:

  • 400 grams of biscuit mass
  • 200 grams butter
  • 150 grams of milk
  • 150 grams of nuts (any variety)
  • 150 grams of dark chocolate

The remains of cakes or other baked goods are cut or torn into small pieces by hand. The nuts are cleaned and crushed, after which they are combined with the crushed biscuit.

The milk is brought to a boil (it is advisable to use enamel dishes), sugar and chocolate are added to it, the products are stirred until completely dissolved. This liquid should be poured into the nut-biscuit mix and the ingredients should be mixed until smooth, and then formed into sausages from the mass, placing them in the cold.

To make the dessert more piquant and give it a light, refined aroma, add 1 teaspoon of cognac or rum when kneading the dough. You can also use liqueur. True, such additives are used only if the delicacy is prepared for adults.

If for some reason you decide not to put butter in the sweet product, you can use boiled condensed milk or “Toffee” (sold in the store) instead of it and milk. Condensed milk is cooked for at least 1.5 hours, during which you will have to regularly add water to the pan where the sweet canned food is boiling.

Since sausage is assembled from available, ready-made products and does not require boiling or baking, it can be called one of the simplest dessert options. But the ease of preparation in no way detracts from the excellent taste of the delicacy and makes it very popular.

Chocolate sausage made from cookies with cocoa - tastes like childhood

In the distant 80-90s, this dessert was prepared using simple cocoa powder, and to imitate lard, as in real sausage, walnuts or large pieces of shortcrust pastry were used.

To prepare you will need:

  • 500 g Jubilee cookies
  • 200 g butter
  • 250 g cocoa powder
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • 100 grams of granulated sugar, more is possible (depend on taste).

How to cook:

  1. Mix all ingredients and form sausages.
  2. Wrap the sausages in cling film or parchment.
  3. Leave in the freezer for 30-45 minutes.

The amount of ingredients may vary, so you need to focus on the thickness of the resulting mass - it should hold its shape sufficiently, not crumble or spread.

Even school-age novice cooks can prepare such a delicacy, because the recipe is extremely simple and can be prepared in a matter of minutes.

The length and thickness of a chocolate sausage has no standards - everyone shapes the product in the way that suits them best. You can also experiment with the shape - round, square or ring.

With condensed milk and nuts

Nuts go well with chocolate. We suggest using real chocolate instead of cocoa in this recipe and adding walnuts.

Ingredients:

  • 400-600 g shortbread cookies
  • 150 g sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • 300 g walnut kernels or roasted peanuts
  • 1-2 bars of dark chocolate (if you want a very chocolate sausage, take more, and vice versa)
  • 200 grams of butter.

Preparing dessert:

  1. It is better to take small sugar so that it dissolves quickly. Add it to the milk and put it on fire. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Then turn it off.
  2. Break the chocolate bars and add them to the milk. Cover the container with a lid and leave. The chocolate should be completely dissolved in the hot liquid.
  3. If walnuts are used, they can be lightly chopped, but large pieces should remain - they will imitate pieces of lard from real sausage.
  4. Chop the cookies well, add butter and mash thoroughly with a fork until smooth. Then add the chocolate-milk mixture and nuts, mix again and roll into sausages.

If desired, before serving, roll the chocolate cookie sausage in powdered sugar and then cut into small slices. Powdered sugar can be bought ready-made or prepared using a coffee grinder from regular sugar.

On a note. You can add chopped marshmallows and candied fruits to the dessert. In the case of candied fruits, the sausage will turn out not only sweet, but also multi-colored, which will undoubtedly delight little sweet tooths.

With added bananas

This recipe was invented by modern housewives, based on the classic recipe for chocolate sausage made from cookies and cocoa. Using the same principle, you can make not only sausage, but also prepare a cake, without using a stove. The only difference is in the final stage - sweet sausages from cookies are formed by hand, while for the cake the mass is poured into a mold.

Ingredients for Banana Sausage:

  • 300 g butter
  • 300 g shortbread cookies
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ⅓ tsp fine salt
  • 3 tbsp instant cocoa
  • 1 tsp each cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla sugar (can be replaced with 1 bag of vanilla)
  • 2 tbsp cognac or liqueur
  • 200 g walnut kernels
  • 200 g prunes
  • 1 large banana.

Step-by-step preparation of dessert:

  1. Peel the banana, cut its fruit and prunes into fairly large pieces so that the fruit is visible in the cut of the finished sausage.
  2. Lightly break the cookies, sprinkle with cognac or liqueur, combine with nuts, prunes and spices.
  3. Sugar is mixed with cocoa.
  4. Beat the soft butter with the cocoa-sugar mixture, add salt and, if desired, vanilla.
  5. Mix cookies, banana pieces and whipped cream.
  6. The mixture can be placed in a silicone or extendable pie pan to form a cake, or formed into sausages. To quickly harden, the dish is placed in the freezer.

The finished product can be decorated with candied fruits, jelly figures, and powdered sugar. Convenience of preparing dessert - there is no need for baking, the process is easy and quick.

On a note. If you use cocoa powder, the product will not be as pleasant and light in taste and will leave a residue in your mouth after eating. More expensive well-known brands make cocoa completely soluble. These types of products will have a better effect on the taste of the dessert.

Creamy biscuit sausage with condensed milk

To prepare this dessert recipe, you don't even need to use a stove, which makes the process even easier and faster.

Ingredients for creamy sausage:

  • 300 g cookies
  • 200 g softened butter
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1-2 vanilla bags

The preparation of the dessert is very simple: slightly broken cookies are combined with soft butter, condensed milk and vanilla. The ingredients are kneaded with a fork, then an oblong sausage is formed from the mass and wrapped in foil. To harden, place it in the refrigerator for 1-1.5 hours; if you need it faster, use the freezer.

One of the more modern dessert options suggests using toffee. Any type of toffee is suitable: loose, in bars or packages. Be careful: the sausage is very sweet!

To prepare the dessert you need the following ingredients:

  • 200 g toffee
  • 50 g butter
  • 400 g cookies
  • 120 g sugar
  • 120 ml milk

Preparation proceeds as follows:

  1. Place the toffee in an enamel container and pour in the milk, cook over medium heat until the toffee has dissolved. During heating, you need to stir constantly so that the melted product is thoroughly mixed with the milk.
  2. Add sugar and butter to the mixture, mix well and let cool slightly.
  3. Break the cookies and add to the liquid mixture. When the temperature of the mass is no longer hot, you can begin to form the sausages.

You cannot cool the mass for a long time, otherwise it will begin to harden and ultimately you will not be able to form sausages. If the mass has cooled down too much, you need to warm it up a little.

The undoubted advantage of this dish is its excellent shelf life - chocolate sausages can be stored in the freezer for quite a long time, taken out at any time and served with tea or cocoa with milk.

  3. Instead of a plastic bag, use cling film, foil or parchment paper.
  4. Take cocoa powder, not a cocoa-based drink. Then the sausage will truly taste like it did in childhood.
  5. Biscuit-type cookies, and especially salty crackers, are not suitable for making sausages. Fruit additives and flavorings are also not welcome. The simpler the cookies, the tastier the dessert.
  6. Trick: You can buy crushed cookies at some stores. It costs less because of its appearance, but this does not change the taste and is even more convenient.
  7. To reduce the wait, place the sausages in the freezer, but do not keep them for too long so that the mixture does not freeze.
  8. Before slicing, roll the sausage in powdered sugar, coconut flakes or confectioner's caramel.
  9. Replace granulated sugar with powdered sugar - the taste will be more delicate. It is easy to prepare powder at home using a blender.
  10. If you replace butter with margarine, the taste will noticeably suffer.
  11. The sausage should be cut into portions immediately after it is removed from the refrigerator. If it has time to soften, it will easily fall apart when cutting.

It takes 10-15 minutes to prepare the chocolate sausage. The most difficult thing is to wait several hours while the dessert is in the refrigerator: this delicacy is so delicious! A childhood favorite, this sausage is a great way to pamper the whole family.

Taste of childhood - chocolate sausage recipes

Sweet desserts are favorite treats for adults and children; some are difficult and time-consuming to prepare, requiring a large number of ingredients and skill.

But chocolate sausage is accessible even to a novice cook and does not require any special skills.

Chocolate sausage - the taste of childhood

Many of us remember this simple dessert from childhood, when our mother or grandmother prepared it for a holiday. It was largely due to the Soviet shortage, in which housewives came up with interesting recipes from available products.

So chocolate sausage was prepared from:

If nuts or condensed milk were added to it, it was a real masterpiece of culinary skill. Today this recipe is almost forgotten, no longer due to a lack of interest among people, but because of the abundance of ready-made desserts in stores: all kinds of rolls, cakes, sweets and cookies.

Why waste time and effort on preparing delicacies at home when you can buy everything, many people think. And they are mistaken, because there is nothing tastier than what you can cook with your own hands.

Treat options

Let's look at some of the simplest and most delicious recipes, which will require a little time and effort.

Classical

This is the most common option.

It includes:

  • 450 grams of cookies;
  • 150 grams of cow butter;
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder;
  • 0.5 glasses of milk;
  • 0.5 cups sugar.

Milk, sugar and cocoa must be poured into a separate container and heated over low heat. Gradually add the butter, cut into pieces, and stir lightly until it is all melted and the whole mixture begins to boil. Now remove the cup from the heat and let it cool slightly, add the cookies broken into small slices into it and stir well.

Place the resulting mass on foil or parchment, you can use food film. Make a sausage and put it in the refrigerator. After a couple of hours, the dessert is ready.

With condensed milk

This recipe is doubly convenient because it does not require the use of a stove.

Required components:

  • broken cookies - 300 g;
  • butter - 200 g;
  • condensed milk, preferably boiled - 1 can;
  • cocoa powder - 3 tablespoons.

The butter must first be removed from the refrigerator and kept warm until it melts and softens. It is preferable to choose sugar cookies without filling.

Depending on the housewife’s preferences, you can choose something sweet or more bland. Some stores sell scrap, which is slightly cheaper in price. However, before buying, you should make sure that it is fresh and does not smell musty, and also look at the presence of filling, it can change the taste of the dish and give it a foreign smell.

The cookies need to be crushed, it is desirable that the mass contains both whole pieces and very fine crumbs, this will give the sausage a beautiful appearance and a bright taste. In a bowl, combine cookies, softened butter, cocoa powder and condensed milk. Everything is thoroughly mixed and a sausage is formed from the mass; it needs to be wrapped in food grade film and refrigerated for a couple of hours.

With milk and candied fruits

This recipe is also quite easy and allows you to increase the sweetness of the dish by adding candied fruits and adding a little less sugar.

Required:

  • biscuits or crackers - 300 grams;
  • granulated sugar - 2 tbsp. l.;
  • baked milk - 2 tbsp. l.;
  • candied fruits - 50 grams;
  • butter - 100 g;
  • cocoa - 2 tbsp. l.;
  • seeds - 40 grams.

Recipe in the photo step by step:

First you need to break the cookies.

Then add chopped candied fruits and seeds to it.

Separately, you need to heat the butter, add granulated sugar, cocoa and milk, and let it boil. In this case, you need to constantly stir so that the mixture does not burn.

Pour the prepared mixture over the broken cookies and mix everything again.

We spread pieces of foil on the table, spread the mixture on them and roll them into sausages.

We put it on the refrigerator shelf for a couple of hours, after which you can take it out, cut it and eat it.

With nuts

One of the most popular recipes for making chocolate sausage.

First you need to lightly fry the nuts in a frying pan without oil, this will give them a brighter taste and nutty aroma. The main thing is not to overcook, otherwise it will smell burnt. Some of the kernels are crushed in a meat grinder, and some are broken into pieces. The cookies also need to be partially passed through a meat grinder, and partially broken into pieces. Let's combine these two ingredients.

Then we begin to cook the chocolate sauce. To do this, combine cocoa powder, sugar and vanillin, add milk and heat over low heat until the dry ingredients are completely dissolved. Then cool a little and add a little butter. It is advisable to take it out early so that it is soft and easily dissolves in the sauce.

Now pour the sauce over the cookies and nuts and stir; you can stir with your hands, this will make it easier to shape the sausage. It should be wrapped in cling film and put in the refrigerator; after 4-5 hours the delicacy will be ready. It is better to store a culinary masterpiece in the freezer.

Place the dessert in a cold place for final preparation.

What can I say, but this sausage cake made from cookies has a very simple recipe, and it’s also easy to make.

Recipe:

To prepare a sweet dish - pastry sausage, first prepare all the ingredients. Crush the soft cookies with your hands, or better yet, cut them with a knife. Grind some nuts in a blender or meat grinder. Then take a saucepan and melt the entire stick of butter in it (as we know, it is the butter that will hold the shape of the dessert sausage). In a separate bowl, stir dark chocolate with sugar and pour into the butter, into a saucepan after the butter has melted. Pour in some fresh milk. Again, stir well and let the mixture simmer for a few minutes.

After removing the chocolate and creamy mass from the heat, immediately add the chopped nuts to it, stirring as usual. Place the mixture in the cold to cool a little, because you still need to work with the mixture a little, and besides, the cookies will have time to be well soaked in this mixture. Divide the mixture into two parts to make two sausages.

Spread cling film or paper on the table and place the dessert mixture in the center so that five centimeters of clean film remains at one end and the other of the sausage. Then, lifting the film from both ends, roll the sausage towards the center. After your sausage has formed, you should overlap it tightly with this same film, and tie the ends with knots. Press the sausage mixture down firmly with a mat of skewers. If you don’t have time to bother with the design of the sausage, then you can simply put the dessert on a plate and put it in the freezer for a couple of hours. Here, the dessert is ready!

Chocolate sausage made from cookies with condensed milk - a recipe from childhood

Hello friends! Who hasn’t dreamed, at least for a minute, of returning to their cloudless childhood, when everything was a first for us? It is these virgin sensations and feelings that we consider as a classical postulate an unshakable standard until the end of our days. Today, like a time machine, I will transport the thoughts of my readers to those unforgettable times, giving a magical sweet gift - a chocolate sausage made from cookies, a recipe like in childhood.

This, my friends, is not consumer goods! Handmade! Sweet sausage, prepared at home, and not in some eatery, has such a unique ability to give the emotions that you felt in childhood, gobbling up a confectionery product on both cheeks. All because I will prepare chocolate sausage from cookies with condensed milk in butter, and not in regular sugar, using completely unhealthy margarine or worse, palm oil as a basis.

I had to spend a lot of precious time rummaging through my cookbooks to find exactly the classic old-fashioned cookie treat recipe from when I was a kid. And supplemented with the author’s photos and a step-by-step detailed description, the recipe for chocolate sausage generally becomes a family treasure, which I will now share with you.

Cookie and chocolate sausage recipe

  • 400 gr. regular butter cookies;
  • a can of real condensed milk;
  • 5 tbsp. l. cocoa;
  • 200 gr. butter;
  • 100 gr. white chocolate;
  • powdered sugar.

I won't need a stove. She has a day off today. I won’t fry, steam or bake anything. The dessert is prepared without baking. You just need to mix the ingredients together and cool. I won’t even melt butter. I just take it out of the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes soft. I will also do without nuts, which in the biscuit sausage recipe are designed to imitate pieces of lard. This role, as you may have guessed, will be played perfectly by white chocolate.

How to make and satisfy all confectioners

Do not deny yourself the pleasure and do not lick your fingers with chocolate delicacy on them. Just like in childhood. When my mother cooked something delicious, I would certainly poke my finger into the sweet, still raw dough, lick it and get great pleasure from it. I think like any of you present here.

After a complete ritual, by rolling, I wrap the mass in cellophane. I compact, boil and tie the ends of the improvised sausage.

I put the dessert in the refrigerator for several hours. If you can’t bear it, you can put it in the freezer, but just don’t overcook it, otherwise your cookie delicacy will turn into a chocolate ice cube.

And at the end of cooking, I remove the shell from the cake. I sprinkle the table with powder and roll the frozen sausages over it.

Here is a simple recipe with condensed milk.

All that remains is to make a beautiful cut, and the rest will not matter.

I’ll open the confectionery shop and stock up on cookies, and chase away the melancholy and sadness with chocolate sausage. I’m going back to childhood again - I’m ten years old today. I’ll say goodbye to what happened - I took out the winning ticket. I’ll take a tasty bite, plunge into oblivion, and my faithful angel will leaf through life. I'm in short pants, sweet afternoon tea on the table. Everything is bright, like in children's books, every day there is a parade alley.
