We are preparing a simple and unpretentious dish - potatoes in a pot in sour cream, and, moreover, unexpectedly very tasty!

Ingredients:

For 2 pots:

  • Potatoes – 8-10 pcs. average;
  • Sour cream – 0.5 - 1 glass;
  • Water – 1 glass;
  • All kinds of greens - green onions, young garlic feathers, dill;
  • Salt;
  • Optional: onion and vegetable oil for frying onions.
I cooked it without onions and it turned out delicious.

Instructions:

Pour 0.5 cups of water into the bottom of the pots.


Peel the potatoes, rinse them, cut them into thin slices, salt them and place them in pots ¾ of the way up.


Pour 2-3 tablespoons of sour cream on top, cover the pots with lids and place in a cold oven at medium height.


Now you can rest for 40-45 minutes while the potatoes in pots are cooked at 160-180C.

After the specified time has passed, take out the pot with a thick oven mitt (be careful, they are very hot!), open the lid and try the potatoes with a knife: are they soft? So, I'm ready. Pour the rest of the sour cream into the pots, sprinkle the washed, dried and chopped herbs on top, cover again with the lids and put in the switched off oven: due to the heat in the oven and the walls of the pot, the dish will finish cooking on its own in 5-10 minutes.

So a simple, uncomplicated, but delicious dinner is ready - potatoes in pots in sour cream.

For some reason, I have absolutely no time to cook right now. Lots of work! But, nevertheless, the family asks for something tasty, and, looking askance at me, asks - how is dinner today?))) These are my hungry gnomes! They don’t want spring salads, scrambled eggs and bacon, or porridge with fruit! Serve them meat, and even with potatoes)))

I was thinking about what to cook that would be easy, quick, satisfying and tasty, and I settled on pots! I prepared all the ingredients needed for the dish, put everything in pots, put it in the oven and went about my business. The dish was baked in a preheated oven over medium and then low heat for about 1.5 hours. In general, I saved time, and the gnomes will be full and happy! Help yourself too!

To prepare meat and potatoes in 3 pots, the following products were taken:

Thawed pork meat, cut into slices - 500 g

10 - 12 small potatoes, peeled and diced

3 onions, cut into half rings

vegetable oil, sour cream

green onions, dill

a little water with salt and ground black pepper added to it

Not a troublesome preparation process that took me about 20 minutes:

Cut the previously defrosted (or fresh) pork meat into small portions, 3 cm in size. Place it generously in pots

Now cut the onions into half rings (I took 3 small heads). Place on meat and lightly drizzle with vegetable oil.

The next step is potatoes. Peel and cut into small cubes. Place on meat and onions.

There are potatoes on top again.

Then I dissolved salt and ground black pepper to taste in a glass of warm water. I filled the pots about halfway.

And the topmost layer is sour cream with finely chopped dill. I distributed it over the top layer. It will then be absorbed and combined with water, meat and vegetables, creating a unique taste and aroma, the contents of the pot will be soft and juicy.

  • Step 1

    To prepare this dish, you can take any meat: pork, beef, chicken, and so on. It needs to be washed well, dried, and cut into large pieces.

  • Step 2

    Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the meat in small portions. It should take on a golden color. Fry until half cooked.

  • Step 3

    Lightly fry the potatoes and mushrooms.

  • Step 4

    Now you need to arrange the ingredients in the pots: put the meat on the bottom, lightly add salt to it. Then add onions, carrots, and sprinkle with chopped garlic. Then lay out the potatoes, salt, pepper, and add herbs. The next layer is mushrooms.

  • Step 5

    On top you need to put 1 teaspoon of butter and pour in half a glass of water or broth. You need to dilute a spoonful of sour cream in water (broth). You should not pour undiluted sour cream over meat and vegetables in pots, because it will curdle during heat treatment.

    All pots must be carefully filled to the brim and placed in the oven. The time for frying meat with vegetables in pots is approximately 1 hour. The oven temperature should be at least 180 degrees.

4. Peel the onion, cut into half rings, and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Add everything to the fried meat, simmer for a couple of minutes, add seasoning 1/2 teaspoon of salt, pepper to taste, add water so that the beef is more than half covered. Add the bay leaf, stir with a spoon and cook over low heat for 40-50 minutes, with the lid closed.


5. At this time, peel and wash the potatoes, chop them into 2-3 cm cubes. Transfer them to a saucepan.


6. Pour in 100 grams of sour cream, mix and simmer for 2-3 minutes.


7. Place the fried meat in a saucepan with potatoes, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, add garlic cut into slices, mix thoroughly so that all ingredients are evenly distributed.


8. Place into portioned clay pots, from this amount of ingredients you get 3 such servings of 500 grams each. Tip: 15 minutes before the start of cooking, immerse the earthenware in cold water, in this way the moisture from the food will not be absorbed into the walls and the food will not turn out dry.

  • Meat (pork) - 1 kg.
  • Potatoes - 1 kg.

  • Champignon mushrooms - 600 gr.
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste
  • Cream (20%) - 150 ml.

Cooking method:

1. Rinse the pork under running water and cut into small squares.


2. Then chop the peeled onion into half rings. Coarsely chop the mushrooms, washed and dried with a paper towel.


3. We work with potatoes, wash them, peel them and cut them into fairly large squares.


4. The final step in preparing the ingredients is to grate the cheese on a coarse grater.


5. We begin frying the meat. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan (cauldron), add pork, mix thoroughly, cover with a lid and simmer for 40 minutes.


6. Meanwhile, fry the mushrooms in a dry frying pan, stir occasionally. When the water has evaporated, add a small amount of vegetable oil, add salt and pepper to taste. Pour cream into the prepared champignons and simmer for 5 minutes.


7. Prepare the potatoes, add salt, black pepper, seasoning for potatoes and pour in sunflower oil, stir well.


8. After 30 minutes, add onions to the pork in the cauldron, also add spices, salt, and pepper.


9. Now layer the ingredients into the pots. First potatoes, then meat with onions and mushrooms, alternate everything, pour in a little boiled water. Place the pots in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 40-45 minutes. After the time has passed, take out the dish and sprinkle it with cheese, then put it back in the oven for 5 minutes.

  • Turkey fillet - 750 gr.
  • Champignons - 1 kg.
  • Tomato paste - 2 tbsp. spoons

  • Salt - to taste
  • Khmeli-suneli - to taste

Cooking method:

1. First, let’s boil the potatoes in their jackets; at this stage we don’t add salt. When ready, remove from the stove, pour out the water and let cool.


2. Peel the onion from unnecessary husks and finely chop it, pour it into a frying pan with oil and fry until golden brown. We will also cut the champignon mushrooms into small pieces, having first washed and cleaned them. Then add to the golden onions.


3. When the champignons are almost ready, add tomato paste, leave on the fire until the water has almost completely evaporated, do not forget to add salt.


3. We cut the meat, in addition to slicing, we remove all the veins. Fry over high heat, add salt to taste and stir occasionally.


Tip: it is best to use a turkey thigh for cooking, so the final dish will be juicier than with breast fillet.

4. Peel the cooled potatoes, cut them into rings and add salt just at this time. Place 1/2 of the part in the pot, then add the prepared turkey, add a second layer of potatoes, salt again and pour in the mushrooms, cover everything with grated cheese on a coarse grater.
