  • cod fillet – 600 g;
  • chicken egg – 2 pcs.;
  • vodka with a neutral taste – 1-3 teaspoons;
  • wheat flour - how much will it take;
  • ground spices (black pepper, cumin, coriander, cloves);
  • salt – 1 pinch;
  • vegetable oil.

Preparation

It would be a good idea to dry the cod fillets with a clean napkin, as they will be wet after defrosting. Cut the fillet into large portions.

In a separate bowl, mix eggs with vodka, add spices and salt. Add sifted wheat flour little by little, mix and grind with a whisk or fork. The consistency of the dough should be approximately the same as medium-thick yogurt. It is better to beat the batter by hand, or with a mixer at low speed. You need to beat thoroughly, but not too long and intensively; we don’t need excessive fluffiness.

Heat the oil in a frying pan. Dip pieces of cod fillet into the batter and fry over medium heat. Then reduce the heat and cook the fish until cooked; you can cover the pan with a lid.
