Salt dough dog step by step with photos, master class. Salt dough puppy

Among handicraft lovers, salt dough has long been successfully used as a material for creating flat and three-dimensional sculptures. In general, modeling is traditionally loved by probably all children from a very early age, and many creatively oriented adults are not averse to working with plasticine. However, for a number of reasons, plasticine is not always suitable for children, and for children who can swallow it, it is generally undesirable, unless under the supervision of adults, which is not always possible. But salted dough is an excellent, affordable and practically harmless material. In addition, it has a number of features and is interesting to work with, so modeling from salt dough occupies a special place among popular hobbies.

Let's make salt dough

The tempting and indisputable advantage of this material is its accessibility: you prepare the dough yourself, in the right quantity, and all the few ingredients are available in almost any kitchen - in a pinch, you can run to the nearest grocery store, without having to spend any significant money.

Salt dough recipe for crafts

Mix 200 grams of table salt with 2 cups of wheat flour and 2 tablespoons of starch, add about ¾ cup of water and a tablespoon of sunflower oil. Knead all this well. Proper modeling dough does not crumble or stick to your hands, and takes and holds the shape given to it well. During the preparation of the dough, its structure can be adjusted by adding (small portions) water or flour, depending on whether the dough is too thick or runny.

Starch, by the way, is not a mandatory component - it is more needed to create three-dimensional relief figures, although many people add it constantly, regardless of what they are going to sculpt.
Once the dough is prepared and forms well, place it in a plastic bag and place it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

Drying finished products

To reliably fix the shape of the resulting salt dough craft, it must be dried. After drying, your product, unlike plasticine, will look like new for many years.

So how to dry a craft? Yes, everything is very simple: you can leave it in the same place where it was molded and dry for some time (no one will say how long - it all depends on factors such as the temperature and humidity of the air in the room, the humidity of the dough itself, etc.) in natural environment. However, we recommend baking finished crafts in the oven - this is, in a way, analogous to firing clay products in an oven, albeit in much more gentle conditions: place the craft in a cold oven and set the temperature to about 50 ° C, leave for half an hour, then increase the temperature up to 100°C and dry for another hour and a half. This phasing is necessary so that the dough does not crack, but bakes gradually and reliably.

Finished product painting

The dried and cooled craft should be sand with fine sandpaper, straightening out the natural roughness, then color it in accordance with the creative intent. Acrylic paints (with an acrylic base) are best suited for their rich color, quick drying and other advantages. However, the good thing about salted dough is that ordinary inexpensive gouaches or watercolors will also do the job perfectly - indeed, one of the most accessible types of creativity!

Another interesting option is to color the dough itself before modeling, if during the kneading process you add a little food coloring (cocoa powder, by the way, also perfectly colors the dough) or acrylic paint: continue kneading, achieving uniform coloring of the entire mass.

The last stage of making a craft is to coat its already painted surface with a glossy or matte (at your discretion) water-based varnish. Now the figurine created by your hands or the hands of your child can take its rightful place as an interior decoration, New Year's decoration, toy, and also serve as an excellent gift. Success in creative work!

Have you already prepared gifts for your friends for the New Year? Complete them with one more small detail - such a cute souvenir. Making a dog from salt dough with your own hands is not difficult. The sculpting process is accompanied by step-by-step photos. And such a symbol of 2018 can become a talisman.

DIY "Dog" fridge magnet

To work you will need:

Salty dough;
rolling pin;
knife;
toothpick or stacks;
gouache paints;
paint brushes;
universal varnish;
adhesive-based magnet (optional).

For the test:

0.5 tbsp. flour;
0.25 tbsp. coarse salt;
0.25 tbsp. extra salt;
0.5 tbsp. water.

Let's sculpt a red dog

We start sculpting by creating a wooden fence from behind which the dog peeks out. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a layer 1 cm thick. Using a knife, cut out a rectangle of the desired size. If necessary, you can use a ruler.

We remove excess dough, and make notches along the edges of the rectangle with the blunt side of a knife. Thus, it will be possible to imitate old chips and cracks in wood.

Using a toothpick, make transverse dents in the form of a permanent circle. The length and distance between the notches should be different, as well as the pattern on the wood.

From the remaining dough from the fence, tear off a small piece and roll into a ball. We flatten the ball and stick it on top, extending a little onto the fence.

Now we stick another smaller one to the flattened ball at the top, but do not flatten it. As a result, the dog’s body and head have already appeared.

Roll up two identical pieces of dough into voluminous droplets and place them directly on the fence close to the dog’s body. At the bottom of each droplet we make 2 notches so that the pieces of dough become like paws.

Now we make two more oblong droplets of the same size, then flatten them so that they become flat.

We stick the ear blanks at the top of the dog’s head. The ears must be pressed to the head along their entire length so that they do not break during use.
From a small volumetric ball we make a protruding part of the muzzle and stick it down to the head.

Use a stack or the blunt side of a knife to make a vertical, shallow dent. We make a nose out of a small ball.

We use very miniature balls of dough to make eyes for the dog. Don't forget to moisten the dough with water before gluing the parts.

The last step is finalizing the details. You can draw a mouth in a stack, you can add folds above the eyes or dots on the cheeks.

Since the figurine is small, it will dry quickly naturally, on a radiator or outside in the summer. Drying will take no more than three days. If you don’t want to wait, dry it in the oven at the lowest temperature and turn it over every half hour.

Painting of a doggie

Immediately paint the top and sides of the fence with brown gouache. So that all the cracks are filled with paint and the dough is not visible, you need to dip the brush well in water. Such parts are always painted with colored water rather than paint.

When the fence is dry, we paint the dog. To make the color more natural and soft, mix orange paint with white. We paint the entire dog orange except for the protruding part of the muzzle and nose. While the layer is not dry, add brown color in places and tint the ears and paws a little, blurring the junction of the paints with water.

We paint the protruding muzzle white. We paint the nose, eyes and mouth black, but only after the previous layers have dried.

Lastly, we finish the small details. To emphasize the relief of the fence, dip a dry, hard brush in a dark yellow color and brush it over the fence. This creates an interesting textural effect. You can make hair for a dog using the same method.

We coat the finished figurine with varnish. When the varnish is dry, glue a reinforced magnet onto the unpainted side.

A dog carrying a forgotten Santa Claus hat and a Christmas tree ball is a reminder that the New Year is coming very soon. The symbol of the coming year is a yellow dog, but what breed is unknown. Dachshunds are very good-natured and playful by nature, so it’s worth making such a funny little dog.
To work you will need:
salty dough;
rolling pin;
knife;
stack or improvised tools;
gouache and brushes;
acrylic lacquer;
rhinestones on a self-adhesive basis.
For the test:
salt;
flour;
cold water.
Everything is in equal volume.
Dachshund sculpting
We will sculpt the dachshund using a stencil method, but with applied parts. We draw or print a picture in advance, cut it out, then cut off the false ear and tail.
Roll out the dough evenly into a thick flat cake, place a stencil on top and cut along the contour. Smooth the edges of the figure with a wet brush.

Roll two identical pieces of dough into voluminous ovals and stick them up onto the head, forming eyes. From a small ball we make a nose at the very tip of the elongated muzzle.

Use a knife to outline the mouth and trim the dough a little so that it appears slightly open. We also use a knife to make vertical stripes to separate the legs. We form a sausage from a large piece of dough, then roll it out so that one side is very thin and the other wide. We sculpt the sausage with the narrowed side at the top of the head and lower it vertically to create a hanging ear. The sausage can be flattened a little.

We make a similar sausage only many times smaller and apply it to the back with the wide side. Moisten the joint with water and smooth it well. Flatten the resulting tail a little with your fingers and bend it. Using a sharp stick, draw a line along the edge of the back.

Now we make a Christmas ball. Take 2 pieces of dough, one large and the second 3 times smaller. Roll a large piece into a ball, then stick a piece of dough up onto it and form a smoothed square. Now on the square, use a toothpick to make vertical dents. The result is a Christmas ball with a holder.

To “hang” the ball on the dachshund’s tail, you need to roll a thin sausage. Now we put a sausage on the tail and put a Christmas tree toy just below the tail.

We form a triangle from a flattened piece of dough, stretch and bend one of its edges, as in the photo. At the bottom of the wide part of the triangle, draw a strip with a knife. Now pierce the allocated strip shallowly with a toothpick. Then we form a small ball of dough and stick it to the elongated narrowed side. We also pierce the ball with a toothpick.

Place the resulting cap into the dachshund's slightly open mouth and press the dough well. Dry the finished work in the oven at minimum temperature. Every 20-30 minutes the figure must be turned over to prevent cracks from appearing.

Coloring New Year's dog
We paint the dog with brown gouache. Carefully paint the sides and do not touch the hat, ball and eyes.

Use black paint to slightly tint the bottom of the ear, the upper part of the back and the tail. To make the transition from black to brown smooth, you need to smear the joints with a wet brush, without paint. All subsequent parts are painted only after the previous layers have dried.

We coat the finished figurine with varnish on top and sides. When the varnish is dry, decorate your work with adhesive-based rhinestones or other small decor.

New Year's dog made from salt dough, master class

As you already understand, you can mold anything and even a New Year's mood from salt dough. A souvenir in the form of a funny dachshund carrying a Santa hat and a decorated Christmas tree will be a pleasant surprise for your friends.

To work you will need:

Salty dough;
rolling pin;
knife;
stacks or improvised devices;
paints with brushes;
aerosol varnish;
glue-based rhinestones.

For the test:

1 tbsp. flour;
1 tbsp. regular salt;
0.5-0.7 tbsp. cold water.

Modeling of a New Year's dachshund

To begin with, draw a dachshund on paper and draw out all the details, then cut out the figure and cut off the ear and tail. The result is a strange outline of an unknown animal. Roll out the dough into a layer 4-5 cm thick. Attach a stencil and cut along the contour.

Now moisten the sections of the figure with water and smooth them with your fingers. Make eyes from two identical balls and place them at the very top of your head. Place a small ball on the edge of your oblong nose.

From a large piece of dough we make a sausage, which should be much narrower on one side than on the other. We stick the narrow edge on top of the head, lowering the sausage straight down. The resulting ear needs to be slightly flattened with the palm of your hand and pressed well against the main figure of the dog at the points of contact.

Take a piece of dough and roll it into a flat cake up to 1 cm thick. Draw it with a knife, and then cut out the Christmas tree of the desired size.

We stick a Christmas tree on the edge of the dachshund's back. Smooth the tree cuts with wet fingers. Using a sharp stick or the blunt side of a knife, we make embossed branches.

Using a knife, we make a slightly diagonal dachshund into a slightly open mouth, into which we put the corner of a flat, small triangle. The outer edge can be slightly extended and curved so that the shape of the figure resembles a Santa hat.

Well, what would a Santa hat be without fur and a pompom? We draw a cross line on the header, separating the bottom stripe. Place a ball of dough on top. To get the fur effect, you need to make marks in a chaotic manner with a toothpick.

Bake the dachshund in the oven at a temperature of no more than 100 degrees.

Painting of a dachshund with a Christmas tree

When the dough has dried, paint the entire dachshund, except for the eyes, brown. While the paint is still wet, add black paint to the edge of the ear and part of the back and shade the junction with a wet brush.

When the main color is completely dry, decorate the tree, hat and eyes. All other small details are drawn after the previous layer of paint has dried.

When the paint is completely dry, spray the work with varnish so that you don't get the paint on your hands. And when the varnish dries, glue the rhinestones to the Christmas tree and the hat.

Dog for children made from salt dough

You can easily make a magnet with such a dog with your own hands, the main thing is to know the intricacies of the process. It is very useful to make such a magnet for the New Year holidays, because, as you know, the symbol of the coming year will be a yellow dog.

To work you will need:

Salty dough;
stacks or toothpicks;
knife;
paints;
tassels;
universal varnish;
reinforced magnet.

For the test:

0.5 tbsp. flour;
0.5 tbsp. table salt;
0.5 tbsp. cold water.

Modeling a dog

Most often, dough magnets are molded using a stencil, but in this case, all the parts are overhead and not thin, so we mold them in the classic way.
Roll the dough into a ball of the desired size. This will be the head of the dog, which, as can be seen from the photo, is the largest part of the entire figurine.

Place another slightly smaller ball on top of the head. This will be the protruding part of the muzzle.

To make the nose, roll a small ball, then press it on both sides with your fingers to form a voluminous triangle. Place the nose on top of the previous ball.

Now take a small piece of dough and flatten it to a thickness of approximately 3 mm. This will be the basis for individual parts. Place the dog's head on top of the base. By the way, the junction of the protruding muzzle with the head should be moistened with water and smoothed well with your fingers or a stack to create a smooth transition. At the same time, draw a smile and nostrils on the stack.

We roll out a small sausage from the dough and place it on the base under the head, forming a curve of the arm like a person’s. We stick a small ball onto the edge of the sausage and make 2 shallow dents, forming a paw.

On the other side of the base, simply place a small piece of dough and smooth out the joints. We make another short sausage slightly larger than the paws and place it across the dog’s body. Smooth the edges of the sausage with wet fingers and trim each side a little with the blunt side of a knife. As a result, the dog got a bone.

On the side where we did not form the paw, place the ball of dough directly on the bone and press well. We make 2 shallow cuts and form the second paw.

A dog with a big muzzle should also have big and funny ears. From two identical pieces of dough you need to form voluminous elongated ovals and flatten them only in the middle.

We stick the ears at the top of the dog’s head with the round side. Moisten the joints with water and smooth them well with your fingers.

We form oval, slightly flattened eyes and thin short eyebrows.

Dry the finished figurine in the oven at minimum temperature for 2-3 hours. To prevent the dough from deforming, turn the work over to the other side every 30 minutes.

Painting of a dog with a bone

I used ocher as the main color. We cover the entire dog except 1 paw, long nose and bone.

While the base color is still wet, add a little brown to some details and completely color 1 paw. With wet paint it is easy to make a smooth color transition with just a wet brush.

When the previous layers have dried, paint the protruding muzzle, eyes and bone with white. When they are dry, make a black nose and a brown smile.

Lastly, make small black dots in the eyes and a white highlight on the nose.
Open the finished work with varnish so that the paint does not get dirty.

When the varnish has dried on the back of the figure, glue the magnet. Use any construction sealant or magnet with an adhesive backing. Be sure to buy a reinforced magnet.

In this master class I will show you how to make a dog from salt dough, and not just a dog, but a graceful and elegant Dalmatian, he charms everyone at first sight. This is a very cheerful, active, inquisitive and energetic breed of dog. You can keep such a proud Dalmatian with gifts for yourself, to lift your spirits and give it as a New Year's souvenir.

To work you will need:

  • universal salt dough;
  • rolling pin;
  • stacks;
  • gouache;
  • paint brushes;
  • universal varnish;
  • decorative elements.

First we make a stencil. We draw on paper, and then cut out the dog and the bag that it drags in its teeth. From the cut out figure we cut off the overhead parts - what will not be molded according to the stencil.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 2.5 - 3 cm and cut out the shape using a stencil. It turns out to be something strangely shaped, but with each next step it will transform into a dog.

We start sculpting by sealing the muzzle. Place a small ball of dough on the protruding part of the muzzle, moisten the top with water and knead the dough with your fingers so that there are no joints. We do not fill the space under the spout.

Make a nose from a small ball of dough. Remember to moisten the dough with water to easily smooth it into the desired shape.

Using a stack, draw the outline of the mouth and add the eye. From a triangular piece we make a hanging wide ear.

To make the hind leg, roll out a large sausage, which will be thinner on one side than the other.

At the bottom of the paw, form a sharp heel, without space for the phalanges. Moisten the upper part of the paw with water and smooth the dough with your fingers so that there are no sharp contours.

In the same way, form the front paw, only without the heel and paw.

Place a small piece of dough on your stomach between your paws and also smooth it out with wet fingers.

On the hind paw we form a place for the phalanges. A small piece of dough needs to be stuck to the heel and bent as in the photo.

Now we make 4 thin short sausages, it is possible that they differ insignificantly in length.

We place the made sausages on the paw blank, starting from the far phalanx. We lay the back sausage evenly, and begin to gradually bend all the subsequent ones. The result is a neat foot.

Attach 4 phalanges to the bottom of the front paw, as well as to the back paw.

To make 2 more legs, just stick 2 oval pieces of dough and make small cuts in a stack. There is no need to highlight these paws too much. You can also use a stack to draw a little fur under the head and along the body.

We make a cake no more than 0.3 mm thick. And we bend it into the shape of a bag with one elongated edge.

We “put” the edge of the bag into the Dalmatian’s mouth, bending all the wide sides up. From the same thin piece of dough we cut out the shape of a Christmas tree, which we stick into the bag so that it looks out of it.

We make another thin cake and close the bag on top. We wet the edges of the two parts of the bag with water and smooth the joints.

At the top of the bag we make a flap from a thin sausage that needs to be flattened. Additionally, for realism, draw folds on the bag in a stack.

The finished work can be dried in the oven at minimum temperature.

Painting a Dalmatian from salt dough

There shouldn't be any problems with coloring the Dalmatian. We cover the entire surface of the dog with white gouache, bypassing the nose, which will be black. When the white is completely dry, use pale gray to draw the fur and some details. Highlight the eyes, nose and mouth with black.

Paint the bag with a light brown color, and when it dries, make the folds in a darker color. When the bag is dry, decorate the tree and make black spots on the white wool.

Open the finished figurine with varnish, and when it dries you can glue the decor onto the Christmas tree in the bag.

Modeling is one of the most useful activities for kids. With its help, not only fine motor skills of the hands develop, but also perseverance, creative thinking and coordination of movements are developed.

One of the best materials for modeling with your child is salt dough. It is absolutely safe, does not contain harmful additives and is easy to use. DIY salt dough crafts will become wonderful souvenirs for your relatives and friends.

Universal recipes

You can find a great variety of salt dough recipes. Each master adds his own additives to them, selecting the desired consistency. The main products for kneading dough are salt, flour and water.

Depending on its purpose, its thickness may vary:

  • dense dough - for large parts and creating massive panels;
  • universal dough of medium consistency - it is convenient to make small pictures and figures from it;
  • soft dough - tender and pliable, it is suitable for small elements, exquisite flowers and figurines.
Some needlewomen measure ingredients in grams, others prefer to use proportions in parts.

Thick dough

To work you will need:
  1. wheat flour - 1 part;
  2. table salt - 1 part;
  3. water - 0.7 parts.

That is, to knead this type of dough you need to take one identical measure (glass, cup, tablespoon) of salt and flour and 0.7 of the same measure of water.

Combine the dry ingredients in a deep bowl and add cold water little by little. The dough should be homogeneous and very dense. There will be grains of salt in it - this is normal, don’t worry. Depending on the humidity and quality of the flour and salt, you may need a little more or less water. Therefore, you can’t pour it into the dough all at once.

Medium consistency dough (all-purpose)

To work you will need:
  1. wheat flour - 1 part;
  2. water - 1 part;
  3. table salt - ½ part;
  4. finely ground salt (extra) - ½ part.
By replacing half of the coarse salt with fine salt, this type of dough becomes more plastic and pliable. It is convenient even for a child to sculpt from such an obedient mass. But this dough is also not suitable for the smallest details and realistic crafts.

Soft dough

To work you will need:
  1. wheat flour - 1 part;
  2. hot water - 1/4 part;
  3. finely ground salt (extra) - 1 part;
  4. PVA glue - ¾ parts.
Combine salt and flour, then add thick PVA glue and mix. Add hot water little by little and knead into a soft dough. It needs to be wrapped in cling film, allowed to rest and cool.

This dough is ideal for complex work. It holds its shape perfectly, preserving the prints and texture created on it. Its quality directly depends on the quality of the chosen glue.

The figures made from salt dough with glue differ special strength. They will delight their owner for many years.

  1. If you plan to color finished products, it is better to use wheat flour, although you can also use rye flour for salt dough.
  2. You cannot use iodized salt - the finished figures may crack when drying.
  3. The dough can be tinted while kneading. For this, food coloring or watercolors are used.
  4. The finished dough must be wrapped in cling film or a plastic bag to prevent it from drying out.
  5. A failed dough can be revived. If the dough is too liquid, you need to add a little more flour and knead again; if the dough is too tight, moisten it with water and knead, achieving the desired consistency.
  6. Do not add fat or hand cream to the dough from which you plan to paint the products - the paint will apply unevenly.
  7. The finished dough should be stored in the refrigerator for no more than 2 days. It loses its qualities and it will be inconvenient to work with it.
  8. It is best to sculpt volumetric products on wire or cardboard frames so that they do not fall apart.
  9. Crafts can be dried naturally, leaving them for a couple of days, baked in a warm oven, or left next to the radiator. It is strictly not recommended to place figurines on the battery itself to avoid cracking.
  10. It is best to paint crafts with acrylic paint or gouache. Watercolors should not be used: there is a risk of getting wet and ruining the product.
  11. The junction of the parts must be moistened with water using a brush. This way they will connect firmly and quickly.
  12. The finished souvenir can be coated with clear nail polish or acrylic varnish. This will protect it from moisture and the paint from fading.
Armed with new knowledge, try to put it into practice.

Cute hedgehog - toy for kids

Do you want to know what you can make with your child using salt dough? Start with the simplest crafts. The younger your baby, the simpler the products for joint creativity should be. Try to make a prickly hedgehog, and a detailed description of the process in this tutorial will guarantee an excellent result and a good mood from a useful activity.

First of all, prepare universal salt dough and nail scissors. Roll a piece of dough into a drop-shaped piece.

The hedgehog's eyes and nose can be made from beads, black peppercorns, or pre-colored dough.

The needles are made using cuts. Use the tips of the scissors to make small cuts, lifting the needles up.

Perform the next row in a checkerboard pattern - with an offset. Row by row, make cuts until the entire back of the hedgehog is covered with needles.

Dry the finished toy in the oven or simply in a warm and dry room. If you wish, you can color it or entrust this important task to your child.

Original souvenir - funny dachshund

You can start preparing for the upcoming New Year holidays in advance and make a funny dachshund as a gift for your friends.

To work you will need:
  • universal salt dough (see recipe above);
  • cardboard, pencil, scissors;
  • paints and brush;
  • a piece of rope;
  • clear nail polish;
  • toothpick;
  • foam sponge;
  • glue "Dragon".
Prepare a drawing of a dachshund. You can sketch it by hand or print it out. Cut out the image of the dog along the outline.

Transfer the template to a piece of cardboard and cut it.

Roll out the dough to approximately 5mm thickness on baking paper. Attach the template and cut out the outline of the dachshund along it. Carefully remove the trimmings so as not to deform the workpiece.

Roll two balls and form them into oblong dachshund eyes. Glue them with a drop of water to the head of the workpiece. Moisten all sections of the dog with water and smooth it with your fingers to remove all irregularities.

Use two small pieces of dough to make eyelids and glue them above the eyes. Use a toothpick to outline the ear, paws, mouth, nose and body contours.

Now you need to add volume to the workpiece. Roll the dough into an oval, glue it onto the ear and smooth the joint with a wet finger.

Add volume to the dachshund's back and tail in the same way.

Use a toothpick to press oblong dents around the perimeter of the figure. Make them randomly of different lengths from the edges of the body to the center.

It's time to dry the workpiece in a warm oven. Bake it until it is completely firm.

The dry figurine needs to be painted. Cover all areas where there are bulges and dents with black gouache.

After the first coat of paint has dried, paint the dachshund yellow. Pick up a little paint on a foam sponge and tint the entire body, while the dents should remain black - do not overdo it.

Draw the eyes of the dried dachshund in white. Make any inscription you wish.

Glue a piece of rope to the back of the craft.

Cover the product with clear varnish and let it dry. The result of the work done is impressive - the mischievous puppy is ready.

Dog with original coloring:

Spectacular fish - step-by-step master class

Try making a beautiful fish with your child. Just follow the detailed instructions - and even your little helper will be able to master this sculpting technique.

To work you will need:
  • universal salt dough;
  • brush;
  • corrugated felt-tip pen cap;
  • ruler.
On baking paper or foil, roll out the salt dough into a layer 3-4 mm thick. Cut out a circle using a special die or just a round glass of a suitable diameter.

Pinch the dough on one side of the circle with two fingers, forming a tail.

Correct it and smooth out any rough edges.

On the opposite side, make a mouth for the fish using the handle of a brush.

Use the edge of a ruler or the blunt side of a knife to press the marks on the tail and fins.

Roll small balls and glue them onto the fish's head. These will be the eyes.

Make pupils from smaller balls and press them onto the eyes with the handle of a brush.

It's time to decorate the blank. Use the cap of a felt-tip pen to press down the first row of scales.

Roll a lot of small balls. Glue them with a drop of water to the body of the fish immediately behind the cap imprints and flatten them with the back of the brush.

If you have a suitable print, make prints in the shape of a starfish; if not, use a familiar cap or take another template.

Then push two more rows of cap impressions.

Roll into a thin sausage to form a tail.

Glue it to the blank on the edge of the tail. Fill the entire tail in the same way.

Next, chaotically stick and push a few more small balls.

Dry the resulting workpiece in a warm oven.

Color the fish, guided by your ideas of beauty and the colors available. If you glue a magnet to the back of it, it will proudly take its place on the refrigerator, decorating the kitchen of its happy owner.

Here are some more ideas with fish:

Cheerful boletus mushroom

The initial stage of learning to sculpt is already behind us - you can begin to make more complex products from universal salt dough. Try to master the lesson of making a funny big-eyed boletus. Such an interesting mushroom will be appreciated not only by children, but also by adults.

To work you will need:
  • universal salt dough;
  • burnt out light bulb (classic pear-shaped);
  • cardboard;
  • acrylic paint or gouache;
  • foil;
  • paper napkins;
  • masking tape;
  • Super glue.
Cover the light bulb with tape and cover it with dough. Allow the piece to dry completely at room temperature or in a warm oven.

Cut a ring out of cardboard and put it on a light bulb - this is the basis of the future mushroom cap.

Form a hat of the desired size from crumpled paper napkins. Secure the structure with tape.

The result is something like this.

Wrap the hat in foil for added strength.

For the hat you can use dough of any color; later the whole toy will be painted. Roll out a piece of dough into a circle at least 3 mm thick and stick around the top of the mushroom cap.

Remove the hat and seal the bottom.

Use the blunt side of a knife to press the strips.

Secure the cap to the mushroom stem using superglue or Moment. It should be slightly tilted towards the back.

Get started with the design. Blind and attach the arms, legs and nose to the fungus.

You can decorate the figurine with a funny caterpillar or make another decorative element, such as a ladybug.

Dry the finished piece.

Paint the figurine, draw eyes and a nose and varnish. The amazing fungus is ready. You won’t be able to pickle it and eat it, but you can easily decorate a shelf with it.

Funny pig pendants

Such funny pendants are an idea for an unusual Christmas tree decoration or a cute souvenir for people dear to you. Such a themed gift will come in handy, because the patron of 2019 is the yellow pig.

To work you will need:

  • universal salt dough;
  • toothpick;
  • thin rope;
  • paints and brush;
  • foam sponge;
  • black gel pen;
  • Super glue.
Form a flattened circle - a pig's body. Glue a smaller circle - a patch - into its center. Use a toothpick to press down the nostrils.
