When you urgently need to cook something tasty and definitely hearty second dish, I remember that stewed potatoes with minced meat in a slow cooker - perfect option for such an occasion. The dish turns out simply delicious. You can use any minced meat, in my case it is pork. If it is stored in freezer, you need to transfer the product to the refrigerator compartment in advance, for example, in the evening, in order to defrost it correctly. I have a variety of young potatoes that boil well. It's just perfect for stewing. It is prepared in my Redmond 4502 multicooker, which has two modes necessary in this case - frying and stewing. The “Frying” program can be replaced by “Baking” if necessary.

Ingredients:

  • potatoes – 600-700 grams.
  • minced meat - 350 grams.
  • onion – 1 piece.
  • carrots - 1 piece.
  • pepper, salt - to taste.
  • garlic – 1 clove.
  • vegetable oil.

How to cook potatoes with minced meat in a slow cooker:

Before you start stewing potatoes in a slow cooker, you must sauté the onions and carrots in the “Frying” mode for 5-7 minutes using vegetable oil.

When the onions and carrots are golden brown, you can add chopped potatoes (large or small, as you like).

Throw pieces of minced meat on top. To prevent it from being one piece, I separate it into small parts with my hands. Salt and season with pepper to taste.

Mix all the contents of the bowl. Pour in a little water so that it does not cover the potatoes. Now turn on the “Quenching” mode for 30 minutes.

When a signal is heard indicating the end of cooking, you need to open the lid of our multicooker and add crushed garlic to ready dish. Stir and add chopped herbs if desired. Close the lid and let the potatoes and minced meat brew for a while on the keep warm setting.

Our dish on a quick fix ready. It is always served hot with vegetables and salads.

Bon appetit!!!

On a note:

The taste of the dish directly depends on the type of potato and its quality. Choose a variety that will boil quickly. And if suddenly the raw tuber is very hard or has green spots, you should not use it at all.

The sequence of actions in the process of preparing potatoes with minced meat can be slightly changed. Namely, first fry the minced meat with onions and carrots, then add the potatoes. In this case, the dish will have a slightly different taste and color.

If you wish, you can not stew the potatoes with minced meat in a slow cooker, but fry them by selecting the appropriate cooking mode “Frying” or “Baking”. Only in this case you need to periodically open the multicooker and stir the contents of the container so that it does not burn.
