  • 1 large head of white cabbage;
  • 3 large tomatoes;
  • 2 large onions;
  • 1 bunch of fresh dill;
  • vegetable oil for frying;
  • a little pepper and salt.

Cooking process:

  1. Prepare minced beef for cabbage rolls in a saucepan with minced meat. If the minced meat is frozen, take it out of the freezer and defrost it at room temperature for 1-1.5 hours.
  2. Wash the dill, dry it, and chop it finely.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables. We clean the onion heads, finely dice them.
  4. Wash the carrots, peel them, and grate them on a coarse grater.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, add the carrots and onions, fry, stirring, until lightly browned.
  6. Now we prepare the minced meat for cabbage rolls. Place the beef in a frying pan with the fried vegetables, stir, and fry for a quarter of an hour. Set the minced meat aside to cool slightly. Then stir in chopped dill, season with spices, and mix again.
  7. Rinse the head of cabbage under running water. Having laid it out on the board, remove the top few leaves and put them aside. Cut the rest of the cabbage into thin strips. Place the cabbage in another heated frying pan with vegetable oil. Simmer until soft, stirring constantly, remove the cabbage from the stove.
  8. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly and place them in boiling water for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to cold water with a slotted spoon. After this, put it on a plate and cool. We peel the tomatoes and cut the pulp into pieces, which we transfer to a blender and puree.
  9. We begin to collect lazy cabbage rolls in a saucepan. Spread half of the stewed cabbage. Spread the minced meat evenly on top with a spoon. Next, lay out the rest of the cabbage and fill everything with tomato puree.

    To prevent the cabbage rolls from burning, place whole cabbage leaves on the bottom.

  10. Cover the saucepan and place on medium heat for half an hour. To ensure that the dish cooks evenly, occasionally stir it gently.
  11. Serve lazy cabbage rolls on a large platter or portioned plates, top with sour cream, season with garlic and garnish with herbs.

Step 1: prepare the minced meat.

Since we already have ready-made minced meat, we just need to take it out of the freezer of the refrigerator, put it in a bowl and let it defrost on its own to room temperature. This process will take approximately 1–1.5 hours. Attention: Never heat minced meat in a microwave oven. While our ingredient is defrosting, let's move on to the next step.

Step 2: prepare the onion.

Using a knife, peel the onion, rinse it under running water and place it on a cutting board. We first cut it into two parts, and then finely cut each half using a sharp tool along, and then across into small squares. Afterwards, transfer it to a plate.

Step 3: prepare the carrots.

Peel the carrots using a knife, rinse under running water and place on a cutting board. Then, using a coarse grater, chop the ingredient and immediately after that transfer it to a plate with chopped onions.

Step 4: fry onions and carrots.

Take a frying pan, pour vegetable oil into it and put it on medium heat. Using a tablespoon, place chopped onions and carrots from a bowl into a heated container. Fry the ingredients until golden brown, constantly stirring them with a wooden spatula. Attention: It is not recommended to overcook vegetables, as they will still be stewed with minced meat. After this, set the pan off the heat to the side.

Step 5: prepare the dill.

It is very important not to forget to add dill to the prepared minced meat, as this ingredient will give our dish a special taste of young herbs and will also serve as a decoration for the entire dish. Take the dill and rinse it under running water. Lightly shake the greens from the water and transfer to a cutting board. Using a knife, finely chop the dill and place in a separate plate.

Step 6: prepare minced meat for lazy cabbage rolls.

Transfer the minced meat into the pan with the fried vegetable mixture. Place the container over medium heat and lightly fry, stirring with a spatula. This process takes 10-15 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let the minced meat cool slightly.
Then add finely chopped dill to it. Be sure to pepper and salt to taste and mix again.

Step 7: prepare the cabbage.

Take a head of cabbage, rinse it under running water and place it on a cutting board. Using a knife, cut off a few of the top leaves and set aside. They will be useful for placing on the bottom of the pan when we cook lazy cabbage rolls so that the bottom of the dish does not burn. Using a sharp tool, cut the head of cabbage into two halves, and then cut each into thin strips. Attention: The thinner the cabbage strips, the better. Therefore, for this you need to take a fairly sharp knife.

Step 8: stew the cabbage.

Pour vegetable oil into another frying pan and add chopped cabbage. Place the container on medium heat and simmer the ingredient, stirring it with a wooden spoon. When the cabbage becomes slightly soft, set the pan off the heat to the side.

Step 9: Prepare the tomatoes.

Place tomatoes in a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes, and then take them out using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a clean plate. When the ingredient has cooled, remove the skin and cut it into small pieces to make the tomatoes easier to work with.
Transfer the peeled tomatoes to a blender and grind them at medium speed until they form a liquid mass.

Step 10: cook lazy cabbage rolls in a saucepan.

Take a deep saucepan and lay out whole cabbage leaves so that they completely cover its bottom. Then, using a tablespoon, spread some of the stewed cabbage onto the cabbage leaves so that it lies in a layer at the bottom of the container.
The second layer of our dish will be minced meat. Therefore, we will place it in the pan on top of the stewed cabbage so that it completely covers it. Using a tablespoon, spread our ingredient evenly over the surface of the first layer.
The third layer will be the remaining stewed cabbage, which we also spread evenly on the second layer.
Take a container of tomato puree and pour it into the pan onto the third layer. Cover the filled pan with a lid and set to simmer over medium heat for 30-35 minutes.
After this time, our dish will be ready. Attention: From time to time, lazy cabbage rolls can be gently stirred with a spoon.

Step 11: Serve the lazy cabbage rolls in the pan.

Lazy cabbage rolls can be served hot. Place them in a deep dish for serving. It will be very tasty when you season our cabbage rolls with a little chopped garlic on top. You can serve sour cream, cream or mayonnaise with lazy cabbage rolls. Enjoy your meal!

We begin to make free-form lazy cabbage rolls, roll them in flour.

Pour oil into a frying pan and heat it up. Place the cabbage rolls rolled in flour.

Fry on 2 sides over medium heat until golden brown.

We fry all available preparations - onions, carrots.

Can be used for cooking - both a saucepan and a cauldron.

If you have a saucepan, then saute the carrots and onions in a frying pan

Pour vegetable oil into a cauldron/frying pan and place on medium heat.

As soon as the oil is hot, add the chopped onions (you can add carrots). Sauté the onion until transparent, fry with the carrots together for 7-8 minutes.

For now, let's make the sauce for the cabbage rolls:

  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • some water
  • salt, pepper, seasonings

Mix the sauce.

Don't forget to stir the vegetables so they don't burn.

Place the lazy cabbage rolls on top of the sautéed vegetables. If you are sautéing vegetables in a frying pan, put the vegetables in the pan, and cabbage rolls on top.

Pour the delicious sauce on top and bring to a boil.

As soon as the liquid begins to boil, cover the lazy cabbage rolls with cabbage leaves.

This way the top layers will be extinguished much better. In addition, this will give a more aesthetic appearance to the dish.

Cover with a lid, reduce heat to low, and leave for 30-40 minutes.

Decorate with greens. Lazy cabbage rolls with rice and minced meat are ready!

It turned out to be a pretty tasty dish!

Lazy cabbage rolls with rice and minced meat - recipe in a saucepan, Don recipe

This recipe contains semolina (you can use rice), minced meat, and cabbage. All products are also simply crushed and mixed. And this dish is also quick and easy to prepare. 🙂 Despite the fact that the components of the dish have remained almost unchanged, the end result is a slightly different picture.

This recipe has a rather interesting way of dividing the minced meat into equal pieces :)
Let's look at the step-by-step preparation of this wonderful dish, with photos.

  • Onion – 1-1.5 onions
  • Egg – 2 pcs
  • Garlic – 2 cloves, optional
  • Flour for dredging lazy cabbage rolls
  • Salt, pepper, bay leaf - to taste

For the sauce:

How to cook lazy cabbage rolls in a saucepan (cauldron):

Transfer the minced meat into an empty deep container.

Add cabbage and finely chopped onion.

Add 2 eggs and 2 tablespoons of semolina; you can use semi-cooked rice instead of semolina.

The semolina will not allow the cabbage rolls to disintegrate when the cabbage gives juice. You can, as in previous recipes, let the cabbage stand in boiling water for 5 minutes, squeeze it out, and gradually transfer it into the minced meat by handfuls. Add finely chopped garlic, you can pass it through a garlic press. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Mix everything with your hands, you can gloves.

Place the minced meat in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. After the time has passed, take it out and mix it a little.

From this mass we form a rectangle or square, and begin to cut it into equal parts

We form spherical cutlets from the slices.

Roll future lazy cabbage rolls in flour.

Pour oil into the pan so that the bottom of the pan is completely covered.

Fry our “cutlets” on both sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes over medium heat.

The cabbage rolls should have a crust like this:

The cabbage rolls were fried.

Let's take on sauce.

Pour 1 tbsp into a separate container. spoon of flour, add a little water and tomato paste, mix it all. If you have tomatoes, add chopped tomatoes.

Whisk. Add salt, pepper, sugar. Mix.

Place the cabbage rolls in a pan, pour in the sauce, add chopped carrots.
