Perhaps the main gastronomic expectation from Naba this year was a new restaurant "Percini"- and this despite the fact that there are already three chain establishments in the city. The scale fueled interest. The new “Perchini” is gigantic: a two-story building with an open terrace at the top is piled up on Mayakovsky Spusk. We tested the place and found out how it differs from its neighbors located in the city, what the specialty of Italian piadins is, and most importantly, whether the project will be seasonal or year-round.

Interior for everyone

The opening of “Perchini” opposite the Volga Hotel became known back in January. Then we learned that the new restaurant would be the largest of its kind in Samara and the second largest in the country. Moreover, the establishment has two halls with panoramic windows and an unobstructed view of the Volga, which will be open all year round (!). Even higher is an outdoor terrace that can accommodate one and a half hundred people. For our visit, however, the skies turned out to be closed - we understand the guys’ desire to start, if not for the start of the World Cup, then at least for the playoffs, and we hope to see the roof next time.

“Perchini” is managed by the Polyana Group, which has already installed Carrie Summer coffee shops on the nab - pop-up points with take-away drinks and a menu specially adapted for walks along the Volga. The appearance of a large restaurant of the company nearby is not surprising: today only Dachnaya can compete with the embankment in popularity. The fact that, of all its establishments, Polyana Group relied specifically on “Perchini” is also not surprising: the concept of a family restaurant organically fits into the format of the Volga bank itself - here they walk, sunbathe and go shooting with the whole family, and then eat.

That is why one of the obvious advantages of the restaurant is its own original children's area in the “backyard”: swings and slides were installed in the adjacent area. For particularly anxious parents, a children's room was also installed in the hall.

It’s strange to say this in 2018, but the new Perch will have a wardrobe. In addition, it should be noted that here they were almost the first on the embankment to take a small step, obvious to everyone, but still not obvious to many establishments in the neighborhood - they equipped toilets for people with limited mobility.

Otherwise, “Perchini” on the Nabe is our good friend who is not prone to radical changes in appearance. Everything is in place here: checkered sofas, wooden tables and antique pine color finishes, shelves with jars and herbs in pots. Accents in the decor included a wall with the commandment “The first rule of Italy: if you don’t know what to say, say “Pasta” and hand-drawn farfalle, as well as a knight’s table for five people in the center of the hall on the first floor.

The kitchen was headed by Alexey Klyushnikov, now the former chef of Perchini on Novo-Vokzalnaya. The new “Perchini” has a Grill&Wine format menu - that is, the same as at Dachnaya, 2 and at Moskovskoye Shosse, 252, and everything has been clear with it for a long time. Recent new products here include turkey fillet schnitzel (435 rubles) and Masaccio steak from marbled beef with lightly salted cucumbers (555 rubles), Thai chicken with cashew nuts (370 rubles) and stewed beef cheeks (420 rubles), tagliata from beef (475 rubles) or chicken (370 rubles) and sea bass (660 rubles). Hot dishes include chicken lasagna (299 rubles) and ratatouille (289 rubles).

Pasta “Frutti di mare” with seafood costs 439 rubles, “Norma” with eggplant, tomatoes and ricotta cheese - 279 rubles, “Braziolle” with smoked chicken, spinach and pine nuts - 345 rubles. Pizza prices still start at 229 rubles for a small Carbonara.

This summer, all of the chain’s establishments, including Perch on the nab, introduced a festival menu - with fancy Italian ice cream and a bunch of versions of cold drinks - in general, the best thing for +35 outside the window, and especially for an establishment near the water.

The leaders of the summer mafia were piadinas - thin dough flatbreads with various fillings. At “Perchini” they prepare a version with chili beef (405 rubles), chicken and mushrooms (385 rubles) and “Caprese” with tomatoes and mozzarella (375 rubles). Gazpacho - tomato (255 rubles) and cucumber (235 rubles) - are designed to exterminate the heat. The wide range of cold drinks serves the same purpose. The bar serves lemonades - lavender, lingonberry with thyme or lime with lemongrass (all for 185 rubles), as well as mojitos - classic (from 209 rubles), cherry, blueberry or mango (from 219 rubles). Any option can be made alcoholic. Stone Lady, the icy fairy tale of this festival menu - iced coffee: mint with chocolate and orange with caramel (175 rubles each).

So far, only lemonades are available from the festival special offer on the naba - other new products will appear within a few weeks. At the request of the editors, flatbreads and ice cream were prepared in advance - we tested the menu before anyone else and in your name.

Semifreddo (225 rubles)

Our order included piadina with shrimp and squid (395 rubles), with salami (405 rubles) and sorrel (345 rubles), as well as the Italian cold dessert semifreddo (225 rubles), orange lemonade with tangerine and strawberries (185 rubles) and ice -coffee with cherry and cherry flavors.

Our hierarchy of piadinas was - unexpectedly - topped by the version with sorrel: the combination of delicate dough with curd cream and blackcurrant jam turned out to be simple and classy. But the version with salami, due to the bright taste of smoked meats, is more reminiscent of regular pizza.
