Simple yeast pancakes are prepared in water without adding eggs. This recipe has gained popularity thanks to the ingredients that can be found in every kitchen and the excellent taste of the resulting pancakes.

Even with water and yeast, the pancakes turn out fluffy and are sure to please everyone

  1. Mix yeast with sugar and dissolve in water.

Lenten pancakes are best served warm, topped with sour cream, condensed milk, topping or honey. Before serving, you can place the pancakes on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Dry yeast in the recipe can be replaced with live yeast (at the rate of 35 grams per kilogram of flour), while the live yeast mixture is prepared in the same way as the quick-acting one.

Lush, tender and tasty pancakes are made with milk. But, if there is only one glass of milk, then the dough can be prepared with the addition of water. For this you will need yeast (a tablespoon); 150 ml of drinking water; one full and ¼ cup flour; vegetable oil, a pinch of salt; 30 g sugar.

  1. Dissolve yeast, sugar, salt and a tablespoon of flour in ¼ cup of warm milk.
  2. Leave the dough for 15 minutes.
  3. Add the remaining milk and water to the yeast mixture.
  4. Sift the flour and add the yeast mixture to it.
  5. Add a few tablespoons of oil and knead the dough.
  6. Let the dough rise for an hour.
  7. Spoon the pancakes onto a preheated cast iron frying pan.

You can check the readiness of the pancakes with a toothpick (on average, it takes no more than three minutes for sufficiently thick, dense pancakes to bake). The dish should be served warm, topping the pancakes with condensed milk or jam.

Recipes for yeast pancakes are modified and interpreted by everyone in their own way: some prepare the dish exclusively with live yeast, others mix it with dry yeast; some people prefer to cook lean pancakes, while others knead the dough with eggs.

To ensure fluffy pancakes with yeast, regardless of the recipe, you must follow these recommendations:

  1. For pancakes, it is better to choose wheat flour and be sure to sift it before cooking.
  2. The baking dough should be thick and not spread across the pan.
  3. Yeast should be diluted in warm liquid (not boiling water).
  4. Stirring the dough before cooking is prohibited (as well as keeping a spoon or ladle in the dough).

If classic yeast pancakes are boring, then the dough can easily be made with the addition of additional ingredients.

You can make yeast pancakes more delicious using various additional ingredients.

So, the most popular dough additives are:

  1. Dried fruits (mainly raisins, dried apricots). Dried fruits should be well washed and dried. You can pre-steam the raisins with boiling water to make them soft.
  2. Candied fruit. You need to add finely chopped candied fruits in small quantities. Otherwise, the pancakes will not hold their shape well.
  3. Fruits. The most popular fruit to add to pancakes is apple. The apple can be pureed or grated (after which you must squeeze out the juice). You can also add banana puree to the pancakes, which will add additional sweetness to the dish.

In addition, you can always add vanillin, cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg to the dough: spices will make the pancakes aromatic, adding piquant notes to their taste.

Make classic pancakes or experiment with traditional recipes and delight yourself, family and friends with fluffy, sweet and delicious yeast pancakes on water.

Pancakes made with water are a very tasty delicacy, despite the fact that for some reason it is generally accepted that baked goods made with water are less filling and fluffy than those made with milk. Today I will share with readers three recipes, by trying any of which you can see for yourself that water pancakes are a complete sweet dish, which also has a reduced calorie content. One of the main trump cards of such pancakes is the speed of cooking. Thanks to this, very often such pastries are included in the breakfast menu, but they are also prepared just as often for an afternoon snack, when you want to taste warm pancakes straight from the frying pan in the middle of the day, but you don’t want to stand in the kitchen for a long time.

The whole process of preparing pancakes is quite simple and straightforward. It is enough just to mix all the products indicated in the list of ingredients in one container and mix them into a homogeneous mass using a whisk or mixer. The resulting mass will be the ideal test for pancakes on water. The dough most often includes the same products: water, salt, flour, sugar, vegetable oil and eggs. Sometimes housewives add additional ingredients, such as yeast, which can be replaced with soda (for fluffiness), vanilla (for smell), and aromatic additives (for taste).

The beauty of the pancake recipe is that by excluding sugar from the composition, you will get unsweetened pancakes with water. Depending on this, you can select the appropriate filling. You can add pieces of berries, fruits, dried apricots or raisins to the dough for sweet pancakes. You can put fried vegetables in unsweetened pancakes: onions, carrots, sauerkraut, etc.

When the pancake dough is ready, it's time to move on to the frying process. The frying pan is greased with vegetable oil and set to heat up. Spread the dough with a tablespoon, cover the frying pan with a lid and fry the pancakes on both sides until cooked. As a rule, 3-4 minutes per barrel is enough.

Still, when it comes to pancakes with water, milk or kefir, sweetness is most often meant. Therefore, before serving, the pancakes can be topped with syrup, condensed milk, honey, or simply sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Fluffy water pancakes with yeast can be prepared not only during Lent, but also if the refrigerator is empty and you don’t want to go to the supermarket to buy the necessary products. These water pancakes are also suitable for vegetarians and allergy sufferers. As a result, from a minimal set of ingredients that everyone usually has in their kitchen, you can prepare delicious and lean pancakes with yeast.

Together with sour cream or fruit jam, such fluffy pancakes on water will become a complete breakfast or an excellent addition to the main dish. Try making fluffy pancakes using water and yeast using this recipe. Perhaps you will bake these pancakes not only during Lent!

Ingredients:

  • purified water – 250 ml;
  • wheat flour – 160 g;
  • granulated sugar – 1 tbsp. l.;
  • dry instant yeast – 5 g;
  • refined sunflower oil – 2 tbsp. l.;
  • salt - a pinch;
  • vanillin - a pinch.

How to cook yeast pancakes with water:

In a deep bowl, mix dry yeast and sugar. It is advisable to use instant yeast, always fresh, otherwise the dough may not rise.

Heat filtered water in a ladle. It should become warm, but not too hot, otherwise the yeast may die on contact with it. Pour warm water into the sugar and yeast mixture. Stir with a whisk until the dry ingredients dissolve.

Let the mixture sit for 10-15 minutes so that the yeast activates and starts working.

Then add salt and vanillin to make our lean yeast pancakes fragrant. You can also use vanilla sugar or liquid extract. Add purified sunflower oil.

Mix everything thoroughly with a whisk. Now all that remains is to add the flour. We will do this in three stages, each time mixing the wheat flour with the liquid mass until smooth. First sift the flour so that we get airy and fluffy lean pancakes with yeast.

Cover the bowl with film or a towel and place it in a warm, dry place. When the dough has doubled in size, you can start frying. Attention, there is no need to stir the dough anymore!

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Spoon the dough into it (without interfering), forming pancakes of the same size. Fry them over medium heat.

Then carefully turn the pancakes over and fry on the other side. When the pancakes are browned, place them on a plate lined with a paper towel and begin frying the next portion.

These pancakes remind me of my childhood. When my mother baked bread, she made a large batch of dough and started it the evening before the day of baking the bread. In the morning, she took the dough after the first kneading and fried pancakes for us. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Of course, the dough made with hop dough (as my mother did) tastes better, but the version with yeast is simpler and also tasty.

Ingredients:

  • milk or water - 250ml;
  • flour - 1.5 cups;
  • dry yeast - 1 tsp. spoon;
  • sugar - 1.5 tbsp. spoons;
  • salt.
glass - 250 ml.

Preparation:

Mix warm milk with sugar and a pinch of salt, add yeast and flour. I use dry fast-acting yeast "Saf-moment". You need 15-20g of live yeast. If you have other yeast, use the instructions to calculate the required amount per 250 grams. flour.

Live and simply dry yeast must first be diluted in warm milk with sugar and when it begins to act, add flour.

Knead the dough with a spoon, cover with a damp towel and leave in a warm place until the dough rises (about an hour). Our dough is relatively liquid, so it should rise like a bubble cap.

Mix the dough with a spoon and bake the pancakes in heated vegetable oil. Place the pancakes in the pan with a spoon dipped in warm water. Fry until golden brown on one side, turn over, add a little salt and fry until golden brown on the other side. Then turn over and sprinkle with salt again. After a minute, you can remove the pancakes from the pan (preferably on a napkin).

If your dough turns out liquid, you can add a few more tablespoons of flour and let the dough stand warm for 15 minutes. The pancakes turn out fluffier if you fry them with a lid.

These pancakes with sour cream are especially good.

If you knead the dough in water, you will get excellent lean pancakes.

Some people think that water pancakes are tasteless, but this is not true at all! If you prepare them correctly, they will turn out no worse than those made with kefir and just as fluffy.
