Ingredients:

  • salted herring fillet – 100 grams;
  • beets - 1 root vegetable;
  • mayonnaise – 20-30 grams;
  • garlic – 2 cloves;
  • bread – 80 – 100 grams;
  • parsley - for decoration.

How to cook:

Slice the bread not too thickly so that all the pieces are the same thickness and shape - in the form of rectangles or squares. It will be easier to make this shape from an ordinary loaf.

Wash the beets and cut off the ends, do not remove the skin. To cook this vegetable quickly, you need to put it in boiling water and cook over high heat for half an hour. After this, drain the liquid and place the beets under running cold water for 15 minutes. There is no need to salt it when cooking, otherwise the sodium contained in the salt will only slow down the cooking process. Using a grater, chop the boiled vegetable.

Grind the garlic clove in the same way; you can also use a press. Add mayonnaise, mix everything well. If the use of mayonnaise is not welcomed in your family, replace it with sour cream, but in this case you will need to add very little salt to the mixture. Keep in mind that fish will also add additional saltiness.

Place the beetroot-garlic mixture on each piece of bread and spread evenly over its surface.


Cut the fish fillet into small pieces. If you bought ready-made pieces of fillet, then put them out of the jar on paper (napkins, towels) in advance and let the excess oil drain so that it does not get absorbed into the bread, and the sandwich does not simply fall apart in your hands. This appetizer is best prepared immediately before serving. To make the sandwiches delicious, I recommend purchasing sprats from a trusted manufacturer. This time I had sprats with caviar, so the fish looked very impressive on sandwiches. Most often, sandwiches with sprats are made from white or black bread. You can also use bread rolls, however, keep in mind that they are crunchy and may not be to everyone's taste. To grease the bread, you should purchase high-quality butter.

Ingredients:

  • bread – the quantity depends on how many people you will prepare sandwiches for;
  • excellent quality butter – 50-100 grams;
  • sprats in oil – 1-2 cans;
  • parsley or any other greens - a bunch.

How to cook:
