Pumpkin baked in a slow cooker for juniors and seniors. Dessert and main courses based on pumpkin baked in a slow cooker

Today I tried to cook baked pumpkin in a slow cooker. You know, I liked the taste much better than pumpkin baked in the oven. The cooking method itself is also very simple, since in fact you just need to cut the pumpkin into cubes or elongated slices, sprinkle with sugar and that’s it. I think this delicious dish is the easiest I've made in the last month.

The key to a delicious baked pumpkin lies in choosing it correctly. I most often buy this vegetable from grandmothers at the market, since homemade pumpkin is always orange inside, and its taste is so aromatic that words cannot describe it.

I always sprinkle pumpkin with sugar, however, you can omit this ingredient and replace it with honey.

If you don’t have a multicooker, then use the oven for baking, and if you have this kitchen assistant, then feel free to start cooking with me.

Ingredients:

Cooking process

Wash the pumpkin under running water. After that, cut it first in half, and then in half again. If your vegetable is very large in size, then perform this procedure as carefully as possible.

Now cut the vegetable into elongated slices. Use a knife to cut out the middle and then peel off the hard skin.

On a cutting board, cut the peeled pumpkin into cubes.

Grease a bowl with vegetable oil and add pumpkin pieces.

Sprinkle them with sugar.

Now close the multicooker lid, set the cooking time to 30 minutes, and select the “Baking” program.

When the multicooker beeps, disconnect it from the power supply. Now use a kitchen towel to remove the bowl. Select the pumpkin using a special plastic spoon for the multicooker, place the pumpkin pieces on a beautiful bowl and serve as a treat.

If you like cinnamon, then you can use it to crush ready-made pumpkin pieces baked in a slow cooker.

How to cook pumpkin with honey in a slow cooker - pressure cooker

Wash and peel the pumpkin. If the pumpkin is fresh and young, then you don’t have to remove the peel; after heat treatment it will become soft, but after long-term storage the skin becomes hard, so as not to spoil the taste of the dish, we recommend removing it with a sharp knife or vegetable peeler.

Cut the peeled pulp into large cubes, about 3 cm.

Turn on the multicooker - pressure cooker to the “Without lid” mode.

Place the butter in a bowl and melt it. Add granulated sugar to the butter.

Constantly stirring with a special spoon (so as not to damage the surface of the bowl), bring the mass to a homogeneous state, i.e. until the granulated sugar is completely dissolved.

Place the pumpkin cubes into the resulting sweet caramel and mix gently so that all the cubes are “bathed” in the caramel.

Close the multicooker lid. Select the “Baking” mode, set the steam release valve to the “Open” position. Set the time to 15 minutes. And start preparing the aromatic sauce yourself.

Melt the honey in a water bath; if it is liquid, skip the melting step.

Once the honey has cooled, add lemon and tangerine juice. The juice should be squeezed from a slice of lemon and half a whole tangerine. Mix the ingredients.

Open the lid of the multicooker and carefully spoon the pumpkin cubes onto a plate. Pour over the sweet sauce and sprinkle with toasted sunflower seeds or sesame seeds; the choice of topping depends on your taste preferences.

The dish was prepared in a multicooker - Unit pressure cooker (power 900 Watt).
