Cheese sticks. Cheese sticks in the oven Cheese sticks made from shortcrust pastry recipe

Cheese sticks in the oven prepared according to this recipe have a dry texture and a fairly salty taste, which allows you to use the baked goods as an addition to a glass of foamy beer. The good news is that the recipe is very simple - all the steps are completed simply and very quickly, so the appetizer will not take long to arrive!

In addition to alcohol, cheese sticks are also combined with first courses, successfully replacing bread, all kinds of buns and flatbreads. This pastry is also good accompanied by tea, coffee or other drinks.

How to cook cheese sticks in the oven

  1. Combine softened butter with one raw egg. Carefully mash the mixture with a fork.
  2. Three small shavings of hard cheese.
  3. Next, grate the cheese in the same way.
  4. Add two types of cheese to the butter mixture and mix thoroughly until smooth. The cheese will make the sticks quite salty, so in this case there is no need to add additional salt to the dough.
  5. Mix about half a glass of flour with baking powder and sift into the butter and cheese mixture, stir.
  6. Next, we begin kneading by hand, adding flour in small portions. We achieve a dough that is elastic and does not stick to the palms. If necessary, increase the dosage of flour.
  7. From the resulting flour mass we form thin “flagella” about 15 cm long and place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment.
  8. Brush each piece with a raw egg and then generously sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake the cheese sticks in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes (until a light golden crust appears).
  9. After removing from the baking sheet, you can immediately take the freshly prepared pastries to the table. These sticks are good both hot and cold.

Cheese sticks in the oven are ready! Bon appetit!

Hello, dear readers of my blog dedicated to cooking! Today we will look at a recipe for crispy cheese sticks for beer with sesame seeds.

This tasty, crispy dish is great as a beer snack or an interesting crunchy addition to soup. It harmoniously combines many flavors and leaves a pleasant, subtle aftertaste.

Ingredients:

1. Cheese – 150 gr.

2. Flour – 180 gr.

3. Butter – 80 gr.

4. Cow's milk – 100 ml.

5. Baking powder - ½ teaspoon

6. Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp. spoon

How to cook:

1. The one you like is suitable for making cheese sticks. I use regular “Russian”, which I grate on a medium grater. It's easy to make stick dough with cream cheese, which can also be grated or mashed.

2. Pour the cheese into a bowl and add softened butter to it. Mix everything together thoroughly using a spatula or tablespoon.

3. Add the specified amount of sesame seeds.

7. I wrap the resulting dough in regular cling film and put it in the refrigerator to cool for 30 minutes.

8. Sprinkle the surface of the table or cutting board with flour and roll out the cold dough on it. The final thickness should be about 0.5 centimeters. It is better to roll it out into a rectangular shape to make it easier to cut the strips.

9. Using a sharp knife, I cut the resulting layer into strips about 2 centimeters wide and about 15 centimeters long.

10. To form the sticks, I use a long wooden stick. A regular pencil will do. I wrap a strip around it, getting the shape of a spiral. I carefully remove the stick without disturbing the shape, and place the sticks on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.

Then there is no need to remove the wooden stick; it is used to lower the workpiece into the heated, boiling oil. I serve the finished sticks to the table at any time, they are crunchy and give incredible bliss. Bon appetit!

In my version, the cheese sticks are prepared with sesame seeds, but you can omit it if you don’t like it. For spiciness, you can add garlic or pepper. Also on my blog you will find many options for baking with yeast dough, which is ideal for fluffy buns, pies and so on.

Delight your loved ones with delicious desserts and appetizers that complement the main courses.

Step 1: Prepare ingredients.

Sift the wheat flour onto the table through a sieve. We collect it in a hill, and at the very top we make small depression.
Rub the creamy margarine into the well of the flour using a coarse grater (you can remove the creamy margarine from the refrigerator in advance and leave it to soften at room temperature, but under no circumstances melt it on the stove).
Mix creamy margarine with wheat flour, rubbing with your hands into fine crumbs.
Then we grate the cheese (it is better to grate it on a small grater, the dough will be homogeneous and the finished products will be even and smooth; if you choose a coarse grater, then the product may stick to the baking sheet, but the product will be more airy).
Add a pinch of table salt and a little granulated sugar to the dough and knead the dough until smooth. You may need to add a little more wheat flour, make sure that the dough does not stick to your hands and is smooth and even. Wrap the finished dough in cling film and clean the refrigerator for an hour.

Step 2: Form the dough products.

On a table sprinkled with wheat flour, place the settled dough from the refrigerator. Pinch off small pieces from the dough and roll out a small sausage from this ball with your hand. You can press it a little with your hands on the surface of the sausage, or you can leave it like that, it all depends on what shape you want to give the product.
You can also roll out the dough and then cut it into strips of the size you need.

Step 3: Bake the products.

Grease a baking sheet with sunflower oil and place cheese sausages. Beat the chicken eggs (it is better to beat the yolk) and grease the surface of the products. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Place the cheese sticks in the oven to bake and bake for 10-15 minutes at a temperature of 150-180 degrees. They should brown until golden brown. Remove the finished sticks from the oven and leave them to cool slightly.

Step 4: Serve the cheese sticks.

Place the cooled cheese sticks on a plate and enjoy the taste and aroma. You can store them for quite a long time in a cardboard box, or by covering the container with them with a clean kitchen towel. It is also advisable to store them in a place with a low degree of humidity so that the products do not become damp. Enjoy your meal!

Instead of sesame seeds, you can use any other spices, for example, sprinkle with tap salt, ground black pepper or finely chopped herbs. I once even sprinkled them with finely chopped bacon: my loved ones simply admired this interpretation of the dish.

The dough can be cut with a curly knife, after which you will get very beautiful edges of the sticks. You can also twist the strips a little with a flagellum, after which you get twisted sticks with a very unique and unusual shape.

You can add a little yellow food coloring to the dough for cheese sticks in the proportion indicated on the dye package. The finished products will turn out to be very rich and beautiful in color and will even more closely resemble cheese products not only in aroma and taste, but also in appearance.
