Remove from heat and drain pan and let potatoes cool completely. Carefully peel the cooled potatoes and grate them on a coarse grater.

Wash the carrots well, remove the leaves and the tip and root. Place in a small saucepan, cover with cold water and place on the stove. Cook until the carrots can be easily pierced with a fork. Remove from heat, drain and cool. Peel the carrots and cut into small cubes.

Then we put these ingredients in cold water, after which we take them out and thanks to this we can easily peel off the shells and outer vegetable skin. Open the sprats and place them in a small salad bowl. Wash two types of cucumbers thoroughly (salted and fresh). We clean the head of the blue onion and rinse it under running water.


Separate the whites of boiled eggs from the yolks. We grate the latter together with the potatoes on a coarse grater.


On a cutting board, finely chop the blue onion for our sprat salad and sprinkle it all over with a small amount of vinegar. If desired, you don’t have to use the latter, but pour hot water over the vegetable to remove its bitterness.


Cut fresh and pickled cucumber into small cubes on a hard surface.

  • White bread – 70 g;

  • Garlic – 2 cloves.

To decorate the salad:

  • Dill – 1 bunch;
  • Olives - 3-4 pieces;
  • Cherry tomatoes – 3-4 pieces.

Let's start cooking:

1) Prepare the bread and eggs first.

  • Eggs must be hard-boiled and cooled.
  • Cut the bread into small cubes. It is best to take stale bread, it crumbles less and is easier to cut.

We put the sprats out of the jar. Add a little oil from the jar to them and grind with a fork into a homogeneous paste. Place the mashed sprats in the first layer of salad.   • Fresh cucumber - 2 pcs.
  • Chicken egg - 2 pcs.
  • Rice - 2 tbsp.
  • Mayonnaise - 150 gr.
  • Dill - 1 tbsp. l.

Preparation:

Boil the rice until fully cooked. We wash it thoroughly. Wash the cucumbers and cut into cubes. Boil, cool, peel and cut the eggs into cubes. Cut the sprats into large pieces.

In a deep container, combine rice, sprats, peas, cucumber and egg. Season everything with mayonnaise and mix thoroughly. Wash, dry and finely chop the greens. Then we decorate our salad with it.

Ocean salad is an excellent dish for a buffet table. It should be placed in portioned bowls.
