What we need to make Zebra pie:

  • one glass of granulated sugar
  • one glass of wheat flour
  • three chicken eggs
  • one glass of sour cream
  • one hundred grams of butter
  • two tablespoons cocoa powder
  • tablespoon baking powder
  • tablespoon vanilla sugar

How to cook Zebra pie in a Panasonic 18 multicooker:

In a food processor or mixer, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar until thick foam.

Then add softened butter and sour cream. Mix everything. Lastly, add the flour and baking powder and mix again until smooth.

Divide the resulting dough into two halves and add cocoa powder into one.

Stir until smooth. We get two tests: light and dark.

Grease the bottom of the multi-cooker pan with vegetable oil to make the cake easier to remove. And we begin to lay out the dough one by one, two tablespoons at a time.

First light, then dark, etc., until the dough is finished.

Then use a toothpick to make patterns throughout the entire thickness of the dough.

Turn on the “baking” mode for 65 minutes and cook until the signal. Do not open the lid during cooking!

After the signal, let it sit for 10 minutes with the lid closed and then another 10 minutes with the lid open. Turn the cake over using the steaming basket.

Here's ours Zebra pie in a slow cooker ready!

The top of the cake can be sprinkled with powder.

Or you can pour chocolate icing and layer it with cream. Then it will be real Zebra" cake" cooked in a slow cooker.

Cut into pieces and serve. Bon appetit!

The pie turned out delicious, airy, and moderately sweet. Chocolate glaze went better with it than powdered sugar. It turns out even tastier if this pie is layered with some kind of cream.

1. Beat sugar with eggs and vanilla. This can be done with a mixer, or you can do it manually using a fork.

2. Pour in sour cream, stir everything well.

3. Add flour little by little (if you are using a mixer or food processor, turn it to the slowest speed so that the flour does not scatter throughout the kitchen). Don't forget to add baking powder to the flour.

4. It's time to divide the dough into two equal parts. Stir cocoa into one, little by little, so that there are no lumps.

5. Taking turns scooping both types of dough with a spoon, pour them into the slow cooker - a spoonful of white, a spoonful of black, and again a spoonful of white, a spoonful of black... Until the dough is finished.

6. And now - the magic: with just a few movements you can decorate the “Zebra” in such a way that it will be a pity to cover it with cream.
To do this, arm yourself with a toothpick or something like that. Stick it into the dough exactly in the center of the multicooker and draw a line to the edge of the multicooker. Take out the toothpick, stick it in the edge (two centimeters to the left) and draw a new line, but towards the center. And so continue to draw - towards the center and from the center - until your lines converge into a circle.
And one more thing: to avoid a monochromatic “middle” (as in the photo with a cutaway cupcake), pour in the last few servings not a whole spoon at a time, but a quarter at a time.

7. Set the “Baking” mode to 60 or 70 minutes.
All! You have worked hard and can rest. Next, the multicooker picks up the baton of magic.
After the beep, the zebra chocolate cake in the slow cooker is ready.
Bon appetit!

The cake can be divided into two parts and greased. This will make it even more tender and tastier! Just remember that all sweets are harmful in large quantities. Eat in moderation.

Cooking original Zebra cake in a slow cooker

Surely you have at least once seen this work of home culinary art - a zebra-striped cupcake with a subtle cocoa aroma. Recipes for preparing such a delicacy are varied - some prefer to prepare the cupcake using kefir, while others, like us, prefer the classic method of preparation - with sour cream.

The cake turns out soft and not dry, as would happen in the oven, and thanks to the detailed photos, even a beginner can handle the cake.

In order to prepare a delicious treat for tea, be patient and have the following ingredients:

Just follow the photo recipe and you will succeed!

In a dry bowl, beat the eggs with sugar using a whisk or mixer. Beat the ingredients until the mixture turns white and doubles in size, as in the photo.

Step 2

Some recipes advise melting the butter using a water bath or microwave, but we know that the secret to making a striped cake is in the ingredients being the same, at room temperature.

Therefore, we simply take the oil out of the refrigerator in advance so that it reaches the desired temperature on its own.

Mix the softened butter with the eggs using a spatula.

We will do the same with sour cream, which we took out of the refrigerator in advance.

Step 3

Wheat flour must be sifted through a sieve - this will make the zebra cake more airy.

Add baking powder and vanillin. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.
If you don’t like recipes that include vanillin, then you can omit it or even replace it with your favorite flavoring, for example a couple of drops of rum (unless, of course, the dish is intended for children).

Step 4

Pour half of the dough into a separate container and mix with sifted, lump-free cocoa.

Important: the density of the dough should be the same, so we will “equalize” it in the white dough using one tablespoon of sifted flour.

Mix both types of dough with different spoons.

Step 5

Grease the bottom and walls of the multicooker with butter, sprinkle a little flour and shake off the remaining flour - this is called a “French shirt” and when using recipes for cooking in a multicooker, do not forget about this method to protect baked goods from burning.

Pour two spoons of white dough onto the bottom of the multicooker. Try to ensure that the puddle of dough is exactly in the middle of the bowl.

Now place two tablespoons of dark dough on top of the white dough. See how the zebra cupcake pattern is already being created?

Repeat the procedure until the dough runs out.

Step 6

We activate the “Baking” mode on the multicooker display for 60 minutes. We remind you that recipes can only guide you in terms of cooking time, but the exact number of minutes depends on your kitchen assistant model.

At the end of the cooking time, turn off the multicooker, wait 15 minutes and open the lid.

Then, using a steaming container, we carefully move our cake onto a soft towel - freshly cooked, it has a very delicate texture and can change its shape on the plate. Let it cool, then carefully place it right side up on a plate.

Step 7

Recipes for making frosting to top usually contain several ingredients. We will provide you with two glaze options to choose from so you can choose the recipes for yourself.

Option one: classic glaze

You will need:

  • Milk - 4 tablespoons.
  • Granulated sugar - 2 tablespoons.
  • Cocoa - 1 tablespoon.
  • Butter - 50 grams.

Let's get started:

Heat the milk on the stove over low heat. Pour cocoa and granulated sugar into it, stir until the ingredients dissolve.

Cook the glaze until thick, then add softened butter and mix thoroughly. The glaze is ready.

Option two (for the lazy).

You will need:

  • A bar of dark or bitter chocolate.
  • Hot boiled water - 30 grams.
  • Butter - 1-2 tablespoons.

Let's get started:

Melt the chocolate bar in a water bath or in the microwave until liquid.
Let's dilute the hot chocolate with boiling water - this way the glaze will be viscous and will not harden so quickly on the cupcake.
Stir in a couple of tablespoons of butter for a glossy shine.

Cover the cooled zebra cake with the finished glaze and serve.

Thanks to the combination of vanilla and chocolate dough, a beautiful striped picture is obtained, reminiscent of zebra coloring. Divide the prepared dough into two equal parts. Pour vanillin into one and cocoa into the other. Mix both doughs. Both vanilla and chocolate dough should turn out homogeneous, without lumps of flour or cocoa.

Grease the multicooker bowl with vegetable oil and place 2 tbsp in the center. spoons of vanilla dough. Then place 2 tbsp in the center of the white dough. chocolate. And so continue to alternate the dough until it is exhausted.

Place the pan with the future Zebra cake in the multicooker and turn on the “Bake” function for 1 hour.

Zebra pie is one of my family's favorite treats. I bake this pie very often and always receive a lot of compliments on me as a good housewife. I used to use the oven, but recently I’ve been baking Zebra pie in a slow cooker and it turns out incredibly tasty. The main feature of this treat is the unusual alternation of dark and light dough. If we consider the method of preparing the pie, then it is a classic sour cream, but with the addition of cocoa.

Many inexperienced cooks do not risk making this pie. And in vain, because preparing it is very simple and quick. Even if unexpected guests are already on the doorstep, the hostess can quickly prepare the dough, and while the cake is baking, pay attention to her friends. In addition, a set of necessary ingredients for zebra pie can be found in every housewife’s refrigerator.

So, we will bake a two-color Zebra pie in a slow cooker, it makes this process much easier. There will be no need to turn on the oven, periodically monitor the baking process and adjust the baking temperature. With a multicooker everything is much simpler. Prepare dark and light dough, place it in layers in a bowl and select the desired mode. Next, the multicooker will get to work - bake a pie and do it perfectly. I bake in my pet Panasonic-18 and my assistant has never let me down. The Zebra pie in it turns out to be very airy, rises and bakes well... But the cooking time for the pie may vary depending on the power of the multicooker. Well, let's get started.

Cooking method

  1. To prepare the pie dough, you need to combine the eggs with sugar in a bowl.

  2. Beat with a whisk until foam appears. It is worth remembering that you need to beat sugar and eggs in a dry container, otherwise this process will be lengthy and the foam will be weak.

  3. After white foam appears, add pre-softened margarine to the dough.

  4. Add 2-3 tablespoons of sour cream there. Of course, it is best to use a homemade product, but if you only have store-bought sour cream, don’t worry, it is also suitable for making a pie. The only thing is that it is recommended to use sour cream with high fat content. I try to use sour cream with a fat content of at least 25%.

  5. After this, the mixture must be thoroughly mixed and flour and baking powder gradually added to it. Before pouring flour into the dough, it must be sifted using a fine strainer. Thanks to this, lumps will not form in the dough. The dough should be homogeneous and have a consistency similar to thick honey.

  6. At the next stage of preparation, you need to divide the dough into two equal parts. Add a couple of spoons of cocoa to one of them and mix thoroughly. The main thing is not to overdo it with cocoa, otherwise the dough may start to taste bitter.

  7. Now you can start shaping the pie. As you probably already understood, the cut of the pie should resemble the color of a zebra. To do this, you need to lay out the dough in layers in the multicooker bowl. So, first you need to grease the bowl well with butter or margarine, otherwise the cake may burn around the edges. Next, take one tablespoon of light dough and place it in a bowl.

  8. Next, add a spoonful of cocoa dough.

  9. And so, alternating, you need to lay out layers until the dough runs out.

  10. When the last layer of dough is placed in the bowl, you can make a pattern on it using an ordinary match. For example, write or draw something. The main thing is to show your imagination. I just draw stripes from the center to make a web.

  11. After this, you need to put the bowl in the multicooker and bake the pie for about 65 minutes in baking mode. As soon as the specified time has passed, the multicooker will beep. Open and check the pie for doneness. Use methods that are convenient for you: personally, I always check the readiness of the pie using a regular toothpick. I just put it in the baked goods and take it out right away. If there are no traces of dough left on the end of the toothpick, the cake is ready.

  12. Take out the pie, but don't rush to cut it. It's better to let him rest for at least 10 minutes. This way, it will be easier to cut into pieces, and the dough inside will be perfectly baked.

  13. Our Zebra pie in a slow cooker is ready. Cut it into portions and serve. Enjoy your tea!

Children will also like this pie - they will be delighted with the pattern that will appear in the cut.
