We cut the onion with a knife, and the carrots can be grated.

First, fry the onion, and then, adding grated carrots to it, fry the carrots and onions together. Cook using the “Frying” or “Baking” mode.

Mix minced meat, rice, fried vegetables, salt and ground pepper. Since our minced meat will not be wrapped in a cabbage leaf, you can add a raw chicken egg to the minced meat. It will hold the minced meat together, and the balls formed from it will not fall apart during stewing.

We form round balls from the minced meat.

Finely chop the cabbage and fry it in vegetable oil. At the end, add grated carrots, fry the cabbage along with the carrots.

Pour a spoonful of vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl, add some of the fried cabbage and carrots, add salt and marjoram.

We dilute tomato paste in water, after adding a pinch of salt. Pour the tomato sauce into the multicooker bowl.

Add pepper and bay leaf.

Close the multicooker lid and turn on the “Stew” mode for 40 minutes. If the cabbage is tough, the cooking time can be increased. If you cook in a pressure cooker, simmer for only 20 minutes.   • Tomato paste – 2 tbsp. l.;
  • Water – 1.5 tbsp;
  • Ground black pepper – 0.5 tsp;

Wash and dry the piece of meat prepared for cooking (use paper towels or simply leave the meat to sit until all the water drains away). Cut it into small pieces. Peel the onion and cut into 4-6 pieces.

Pass the meat along with the onion through a meat grinder. If you use store-bought minced meat, simply mix it with chopped onion.

Rinse the rice thoroughly, first in warm and then in hot water until the flowing liquid becomes completely clear (not cloudy). Pour the prepared cereal into a large amount of boiling salted water. Boil it until half cooked and place on a sieve. Let the liquid drain and then cool the rice.

Chop the cabbage into thin strips. Peel the carrots and grate on a coarse grater.

Combine cabbage and carrots, sprinkle with a little salt and lightly rub with your hands.

Add rice and minced meat to the vegetables.

Stir the mixture until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Combine tomato paste, sour cream and half a glass of water. Salt the mixture to taste.

Recipe 9: lazy cabbage rolls in a slow cooker in layers (with photo)

  • meat (pork) – 500 g;
  • cabbage – 800 g (not a large head of cabbage);
  • rice (preferably round) – 200 g;
  • carrots – 1 pc.;
  • onion – 1 pc. (or green 4 pcs.);
  • garlic – 3 – 4 cloves;
  • tomato juice – 180 ml;
  • sour cream – 100 ml;
  • sunflower oil (for greasing the bowl);
  • ground black pepper;
  • salt.

Sort the rice, remove spoiled grains and husks. Then rinse in several waters, place in a multicooker, add 300 ml of water, turn on the “Rice” mode. Boil the cereal until tender.

While the rice is cooking, let's make the minced meat. Pass the pork through a meat grinder.

Next, grind the white cabbage using a meat grinder. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Then grind the peeled carrots, garlic cloves and onions - onions or young green shoots - through a meat grinder. Mix with cabbage. Chopped vegetables release a lot of juice, but there is no need to drain it; during the cooking process, the moisture will evaporate, and the cabbage rolls will be tender and juicy.

Combine boiled and cooled rice with meat, add salt and pepper, and mix thoroughly.

Grease the multicooker bowl with sunflower oil and place exactly half of the vegetable mixture on the bottom.

Place the minced meat and rice groats on the vegetables and smooth with a spoon.

The next layer will again be vegetables. Now prepare the filling by mixing tomato juice with sour cream. Pour the sauce over the vegetable mixture. Turn the pan in different directions so that the filling spreads evenly over the future lazy cabbage rolls.

Turn on the “Bake” mode for 30 minutes. Once this option is complete, cook the cabbage rolls in the “Stew” mode for 1 hour.

Serve lazy cabbage rolls, prepared in layers in a slow cooker, to the table as an independent dish with sour cream and herbs.

Recipe 10: lazy cabbage rolls in the Redmond slow cooker

Lazy cabbage rolls are a dish slightly inferior in popularity to its older brother, but it tastes almost identical. At the same time, cabbage rolls require skill (especially when cutting up a head of cabbage), and even a novice housewife can cook lazy ones. Therefore, if you want to pamper your family, but are limited in time or are afraid of not being able to cope with cabbage leaves, lazy cabbage rolls in the Redmond multicooker are exactly what you need. Depending on the season and whether your cabbage is old or young, they will take from 40 to 60 minutes to cook.

  • cabbage 300 g
  • minced meat 300 g
  • one medium carrot
  • 1 onion
  • rice 0.5 cups
  • one egg
  • salt,
  • spices,
  • garlic,
  • vegetable oil (a few tablespoons)

First of all, soak the rice, add salt and boil it a little (10 minutes, “rice/cereals” mode). The ratio of water and rice should be 1:1. There is no need to bring it to readiness, the main thing is that the water boils away.

I grate the carrots to make long strips - it’s much prettier this way. The onion can be cut into small cubes.

Finely chop the cabbage, it is best to do this using a special shredder. The thinner the cabbage, the more refined the taste. Remember the young one well so that the juice is released. In spring, old cabbage can be poured with boiling water for 5 minutes, this will speed up cooking much faster.

Mix rice with minced meat, carrots, onions and add salt. Beat in one egg, mix thoroughly.

Form small cutlets.

Bread the cabbage rolls on both sides.

Fry on the “fry” mode until golden brown, but do not simmer until cooked. Place everything in the slow cooker so that there is a distance of several fingers to the top.

In a separate bowl, combine tomato paste and sour cream until smooth. Add a glass of cold water there (if you use tomato juice, no more liquid is needed); if desired, you can add a clove of crushed garlic to the dressing. Salt, pepper and pour the sauce into the cabbage rolls so that they are completely covered and you can turn the multicooker on to the “stew” mode.

How to cook lazy cabbage rolls with a twist

The recipe for lazy cabbage rolls is not limited to strict adherence to the composition or proportions of the included ingredients. For example, to give an excellent taste to the entire dish, cabbage can be pre-fried in sunflower oil, and then mixed with all the ingredients. Turmeric gives ready-made lazy cabbage rolls a special taste and golden color. An egg added to the minced meat gives density to the minced meat, and a spoonful of sour cream makes its taste more tender and juicy.

Bell pepper can add a special piquancy to the dish. Of course, this is a very unusual ingredient for this dish. But the finished dish turns out very tasty if you add bell pepper to the main composition as a seasoning. You don’t need much of it at all, 4-5 pieces are enough, cut into small long strips and added to the main products before putting them in the multicooker.
