Breaded king prawns. Fried shrimp recipe with photos (Japanese recipes)

A dish like breaded shrimp can already be called a classic, thanks to one well-known fast food restaurant, where it has been on the menu for quite a long time. Breaded shrimp go perfectly with sour cream or mayonnaise based sauce.

Ingredients:

  • Flour for dredging - 1.5 tablespoons. spoons;
  • salt – ¼ teaspoon;
  • Chicken egg – 1 pc.;
  • Medium-sized shrimp – 200 g;
  • Vegetable oil for frying;
  • Breadcrumbs - 3 tables. spoons.

First remove the shell from the shrimp, leaving only the tails. It’s convenient to hold the shrimp by the tail while eating and dip it into the sauce, and then your hands get less dirty with oil.

Cooking breaded shrimp

  1. Pour the flour into a bowl and mix well with the salt.
  2. Break the egg into another bowl and lightly beat it with a fork.
  3. Prepare a container with breadcrumbs, where you will dip the shrimp after you “bathe” them in the beaten egg.
  4. Take a deep frying pan and pour oil into the bottom so that it completely covers the bottom. The oil layer should be 3-5 mm. Heat the oil before frying the shrimp.

  6. Fry each shrimp in oil evenly on all sides until golden brown.
  7. Shrimp can be served with sauce, finely chopped parsley and lemon wedges.

Bon appetit!

Shrimp is one of the most popular types of seafood. They are sold frozen in almost every store and supermarket; you can buy them fresh at the fishermen's market.

There are a large number of dishes in which shrimp are an integral ingredient. These seafood can also be consumed on their own as a snack. A popular snack dish is breaded shrimp.

Can I cook this dish myself? How to make a delicious snack step by step? In our article you will find a simple recipe for breaded shrimp.

Preparing Ingredients

To fry shrimp in breadcrumbs, you should take the following ingredients:

  • shrimp (you can take king, tiger, salad, Atlantic or other subspecies);
  • breadcrumbs (you can use store-bought ones or make your own);
  • chicken egg (we will use only white);
  • Wheat flour;
  • paprika;
  • vegetable oil;
  • salt and pepper to taste.

Step by step process

First you need to start preparing the shrimp, namely cleaning them. It should be noted that to prepare this dish you will only need to use the tails, the heads will not be useful.

So, the tails need to be separated from the shell and the esophagus removed from them. This can be done by using a sharp knife to cut open the shrimp. Next, along the same cut, the shrimp needs to be “opened,” as it were.

The next step is the breading process. So, place in 3 different bowls: egg white (add salt and paprika to it), flour and breadcrumbs. Each shrimp must be breaded: first in flour, then in egg white, and then in breadcrumbs.

In order to make your own breadcrumbs, just grind small pieces of white bread in a blender (you can also use any other unsweetened baked goods made from wheat flour).

Now put the seafood in well-heated vegetable oil in a frying pan or in a saucepan for literally 3-4 minutes (the time depends on the size of the seafood and the power of the stove). Generally speaking, it is advisable to use a deep fryer to prepare this dish; however, in the absence of one, you can make do with more familiar kitchen utensils.

After this, take out the shrimp and place them on a paper napkin (this is necessary in order to get rid of the excess fat with which the seafood is soaked).

How to submit?

You can serve breaded seafood with a side dish (for example, rice or Chinese noodles), as well as sauces (soy, sweet and sour or mayonnaise are good). You can also decorate seafood with herbs. Take care of the dishes too - a large, round, glossy plate is perfect for serving breaded shrimp.

You can prepare a lot of interesting and original dishes from shrimp. However, debates have not subsided online for a long time: how to fry shrimp so that they are not only tasty, but also remain juicy? Some people wrap them in a thin slice of smoked bacon, others even experiment with lard. But the easiest and fastest way is to fry shrimp in breadcrumbs. This is what we will do today.

To prepare this simple recipe you need to take:

Shrimp, Atlantic, king, tiger or any other large 3-5 pieces per serving;

White breadcrumbs;

Oil for frying;

A couple of cloves of garlic;

Lemon for serving.

We don’t have fresh large shrimp, so I buy fresh frozen ones - they are no worse in quality, the main thing is to look at the packaging date and expiration date on the packaging.

Peel the garlic and shrimp and rinse with cold running water. It is important to remember to remove the thin esophagus from the backs of the shrimp, which may contain fine sand. If this is not done, the dish will be spoiled.

Just crush the garlic with the blade of a knife; it is only needed to flavor the oil for frying.

Quickly fry the garlic in boiling oil and remove it from the pan.

Dry the shrimp with a paper towel and roll each one in breadcrumbs.

You need to fry them several at a time, slowly, in small portions. I have 10 shrimp, I fry 5 and then 5 more.

Cook them for about 2 minutes over medium heat.

then carefully turn each one over individually and cook for another 2 minutes.

There is no need to cover the pan with a lid.

Serve the finished fried shrimp hot, always with slices of fresh lemon.

Bon appetit everyone!

It’s very, very, very difficult to photograph anything when a plate of food is literally snatched out of your hands. The shrimp themselves were instantly eaten, the garlic butter from the frying pan was collected with white bread, and I was driven out to the market to buy “a little more shrimp.” It's really so delicious that it's simply impossible to stop!

Bon appetit!

Today we bring to your attention the most popular Japanese food recipe, very quickly came to taste all over the world, and our country is no exception. This Abi Fry, or Fried shrimps. They say that this dish appeared at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries, in restaurants in the city of Nagoya, as opposed to the increasingly popular Tonkatsu dish, invented by restaurateurs from the Ginza quarter (Tokyo). The methods for preparing these dishes are the same - deep-frying the product, dipped in egg, and then sprinkled with flour and breadcrumbs. Fresh shrimp are cooked with their heads and eaten with them too (but this is not for everyone). Sauce is served with this dish.Worcester(or Shanghai), sauce Hoisin, Tartar, Thaisweet chili sauce, soy mayonnaise , lemon juice. It's a matter of taste preference. Well, since it is quite simple, you can try to cook this popular dish at home.

INGREDIENTS :
king prawns (large) - 15 pcs.;
rice flour- 3 tbsp.
;
eggs - 2 pcs.;
breadcrumbs- 100 g;
salt - 1 tsp;
Shaoxing wine- 1 tbsp;
ground white pepper - 1/4 tsp;
soy mayonnaise (for dipping) - to taste;
oil for frying - 200 ml.

Of course, it is better to use fresh shrimp (but, unfortunately, there are none in St. Petersburg), so we take raw frozen ones, without the heads. We clean the shrimp (after defrosting them at room temperature), remove the shell and abdominal vein (if necessary), leaving the tail.

Marinate the shrimp in a mixture of ground white pepper, salt and Shaoxing wine for 5-10 minutes.

Pour the eggs into a suitable sized container and lightly beat them until smooth. Take the shrimp by the tail and dip it in the egg mixture.

Then - in breadcrumbs.

And so we “dress” all our shrimp in a “shirt” of breadcrumbs. At the same time, we try to keep the tails clean. Place the shrimp on a suitable dish and heat the oil for frying in a wok (saucepan, deep fryer, frying pan). There is no need to heat it up too much. Otherwise you'll end up with chips.

Fry our shrimp in hot oil until golden brown.
