Headband with roses made of satin ribbons. Master Class

For those who like to create jewelry and accessories with their own hands, I would like to suggest decorating their hairbands with roses made of satin and silk ribbons. This master class can also be used to decorate clothes with flowers, create a textile bouquet, topiary for interior decoration, and so on. I wish you all good luck and good mood)

  • 1.5 meters of light pink silk ribbon
  • 30 cm green silk ribbon
  • Metal bezel
  • Hot glue with a hot glue gun
  • Threads and needles
  • Scissors

Let's start by decorating the metal rim with a light pink ribbon. Hot glue the tip of the ribbon and wrap it around the headband

Cut 3 and 4 cm from green ribbons and make leaves, like this:

Let's move on to creating roses using pink satin ribbon. In total we will need 7 roses to decorate the headband.

Used materials:
2 roses - we use ribbons 20 cm long
2 flowers - 30 cm each

Glue and sew more pieces of pink ribbon on top of the headband

We finish wrapping the headband with ribbon, fixing the edge with hot glue

Foamiran is an innovative artificial material, which is also called plastic suede. It is used for various decorations and, in particular, for headbands.

Thanks to its properties, needlewomen can create different things. Namely: decorative crafts, jewelry, dolls and much more. In this article we will talk about hairbands, which are decorated with incredibly beautiful flowers made from foamiran. Several master classes will be presented, one of which will appeal to a skilled craftswoman.

In order to make a headband with flowers from foamiran, you need to prepare the following materials and tools:

  • Plastic suede dark and light;
  • Foamiran green;
  • Lighter;
  • Dry pastel red and blue;
  • Wet wipes;
  • Glue gun;
  • Foil;
  • Scissors;
  • Thick fabric;
  • 40 cm lace;
  • Headband.

The master class on making an original head decoration is not complicated.

It looks like this:

  1. The first step is to draw the templates. The base of the flowers should resemble a narrowed oval measuring 14 by 5.5 cm. For roses, petals of 2 sizes will be needed. They look like 3 petals together, but in a circle. Diameter 8 cm - 9 pieces, 6.5 cm - 10 pieces. You will also need 8 teardrop-shaped petals, the size of which is 3 by 3 cm.
  2. The leaves of the flowers will have the shape of a boat 4.5 by 2.5 cm. You need to make 8 leaves. The sepals must be made in 2 sizes – 7 cm and 5 cm.
  3. You need to start from the basics. You need to cut out 2 identical ovals from thick fabric. You need to make notches on one oval in order to put it on the rim. You need to cover the lower part with the second oval by gluing it.
  4. Next, you need to cut out the blanks from the foamiran according to the templates. For 1 large flower you need 3 petals, and for small roses you will need 2. But in buds you need 2 blanks.
  5. Then you also need to cut out the sepals according to the template.
  6. The next step is to tint the petals using pastels. The sepals are also tinted, but only with blue pastel.
  7. Now we need to give the petals their natural shape. Each one must be twisted and stretched, and then an indentation must be made using the thumbs. The same thing needs to be done with the sepals.
  8. The centers for the roses are made of foil. We need to twist the balls.
  9. Next, you need to collect the large roses first, then the small ones. All petals are glued sequentially using a glue gun.
  10. After the buds and roses are collected, they need to be glued to the headband, on a fabric base. Glue lace along the edge of the base. Roses should be arranged the way you like.

With just a little time, effort and desire, you can get an original piece of jewelry that you can give to your daughter or friend.

How to make small roses from foamiran for a headband yourself

You can make small roses from foamiran yourself; they will decorate the headband, and it, in turn, will complement a beautiful outfit.

To make the headband you need to prepare:

  • Foamiran green and orange;
  • Headband;
  • Glue gun;
  • Scissors;
  • Lighter;
  • Satin ribbon 1x40 cm;
  • Lace;
  • Thick fabric;
  • Foil;
  • Toothpicks.

The first step is to draw the templates. There will be 6 roses - 3 large and 3 small, several buds. Each rose consists of 3 petals. One blank looks like a pyramid of 3 balls, 5.5 cm in diameter, small ones - 5 cm. You will need 12 of these petals of each size.

You need to make substrates 5 cm in size and 6 more in the shape of an uneven star. The base should be made of thick fabric, in the shape of an oval, as in the previous master class. Next you need to prepare the rim. First of all, we wrap it with a satin ribbon at an angle, but not the entire rim, but 2/3 of it. Then you need to secure the base and attach the lace along the edge of the rim. The petals are made of orange foamiran, and the base is made of green.

Small buds will be made from the remains of plastic suede.

The next stage is giving the petals a natural shape; this is done by twisting, squeezing and stretching. The edge is tinted and heated with a lighter, so it will curl and the petals will look more alive. When the sepals and petals are ready, they need to be collected into roses. We make the middle out of foil, we need to twist the ball. The finished roses must be attached to the base. The elegant headband is ready.

Making a foamiran headband for a rose: little tricks

Winter time provides an opportunity to get creative.

To make a headband with roses, you need to prepare:

  • Cardboard;
  • Foamiran pink or peach color;
  • Foamiran green;
  • Pink art pastel;
  • Water;
  • Sponge;
  • Iron;
  • Thick fabric;
  • Lace;
  • Glue gun;
  • Headband.

First of all, you need to make templates, draw teardrop-shaped petals, 2x1.5 cm in size, and a sepal on cardboard. One rose will consist of petals. The required number of petals must be circled with a toothpick and cut out. Next we proceed to tinting with pastels.

You need to tint the edge on both sides, blending with a sponge. You need to make cuts on the sepals with scissors.

The next step is to give the petals and sepals their natural shape. The workpieces are heated on an iron and stretched, twisted, and compressed. Then we start assembling the flowers. The roses are screwed onto glue in a circle. The sepals are glued last. Next, you need to prepare the headband, secure the base, decorate with lace, glue the roses as you like, and the magnificent decoration is ready.

How and how to firmly secure a foamiran rose to the headband

Foamiran roses can be attached to a textile base or to a wire, decorating the rim with ribbon.

Various hairpins and headbands with flowers are now in trend. They are worn by girls, women, even older ladies.

This product will help out at any special event or photo shoot.

The outfit will immediately become:

  • Touching;
  • Feminine;
  • Festive.

Buying a headband with flowers is quite expensive, and you won’t always find a model that matches your outfit and hairstyle. It is much more interesting and enjoyable to create it yourself. The rim can be metal or plastic, wide or thin, as you like. Then you need to create roses from plastic suede, any size you like. The flowers are placed on the headband using a glue gun. If the rim is thin and you plan to glue the roses with hot glue, then it is better to sand the surface. It is good to glue roses on very wide rims. It's a matter of the needlewoman's taste.

In these master classes I will show you how to make cute foamiran headbands with your own hands with different colors: white eustoma and roses. Contrary to popular belief, foamiran headbands are worn not only by girls, but also by adult girls who create beautiful everyday, wedding or summer hairstyles by weaving into them a headband with flowers or one large bud.

Foamiran headband with roses: master class with step-by-step photos

In this master class we will decorate the headband with roses of different types from foamiran. We will collect small roses in several ways.

I propose to make such a headband with roses from foamiran.

How to make a headband from foamiran with eustoma with your own hands?

Eustoma is a wonderful flower that vaguely resembles a rose. Eustoma buds can come in a variety of shades. In this master class we will make greenish with blue edging of the petals. From the ready-made flowers we will assemble a headband that will decorate any hairstyle for a girl.

Step-by-step master class (mk): eustoma from foamiran, headband

We take a strip of white or milky foamiran measuring 6 cm * 20 cm, and from it we cut out rectangles measuring 6 * 3.5 cm - 5 pieces. This is how many petals the flower will have.

We cut out droplet-shaped petals from these rectangles.

We tint the petals with dry pastel – grass color. Apply the pastel to the bottom of the petal, gradually blending it almost to the middle with a clean napkin.

We take a strip of lemon-colored foamiran 3.5-4 cm high (base 3 mm) and cut out triangles - stamens - from it.

We pre-tint them with a light green color.

We take gerbera wire and use foil to prepare the base for the eustoma. This is a small droplet measuring 1 cm high and 6 mm wide at the base. You can take a ready-made foam base.

We place the droplet on the wire so that 1 cm of free wire remains at the top. Fix the droplet well with glue on top and bottom.

From white foamiran we make a blank in the form of a rectangle for gluing the top of the wire. The rectangle should cover the wire and should be 5mm higher than the wire. We round the rectangle at the top, dividing it into two parts.

We cover a droplet of foil (or, in my case, foam plastic) with white foamiran. We take a square of white foamiran and paste over a drop, scroll well and cut off the excess. Then we glue the rectangle to the wire and trim the excess too, so that it is even and beautiful. The result is a pestle.

We tint it with light green and yellow oil pastels. We immediately apply two colors to the sponge and tint the joints well at the beginning, and then the entire pestle. We divide the top of the rectangle and paint it well, adding more bright yellow pastel there.

After tinting, we process the cut out petals for the flower using an iron.

Heat it (silk-wool), fold it like an accordion, rub it with your fingers, straighten it and stretch it out a little.

Then we process it with a lighter. We slightly heat the petal from a distance and make a wave.

We rub the cut out stamens a little with our fingers and glue them to the pistil at a distance in the form of an asterisk.

We glue the flower petals in the form of a fan, applying a drop of glue to one and placing the second on it. So we glue 5 pieces. We connect the fifth petal to the first.

Insert a pestle into the hole made when gluing the petals and glue it.

We cut out a sepal from green foamiran (as in the photo). We roll its ends a little between our fingers.

From green foamiran we cut out leaves with a cutting in the form of a droplet 2.5 * 5 cm.

These are the blanks for the leaves you should get.

We process the leaves using an iron and a universal mold. If there is no mold, you can apply the leaf structure with a toothpick.

We attach the finished leaves to the litons. The cuttings can be trimmed.

The leaves are arranged on the stem in twos opposite each other. We secure the leaves by wrapping the stem with tape.

For the eustoma flower bud, cut out 5 petals measuring 1.5 cm in the form of a droplet. We also prepare a base in the form of a droplet of foil or glue a wire from foam. We fold the petals like an accordion, rub them between our fingers, straighten them without pulling too much.

Glue all 5 of them together so that the top of the petal converges and the bottom diverges. With the resulting “fan” we paste over the base – a droplet.

You can make the bud slightly bloom. Take a square of green foamiran 3*3 cm, cut out a sepal from it. If we want to make a very closed bud, then we paste it directly with petals. The sepals need to be rubbed between your fingers.

We treat the wire-stem with tape and attach leaves and buds to it.

Eustoma from foamiran is ready.

This is what a blooming eustoma flower made from foamiran should look like.

From several eustoma flowers and unopened buds you can make a wonderful headband for a girl. See the photo of the finished foamiran headband below.

Headband with yellow fantasy flowers

Here is another example of a foamiran headband with beautiful yellow flowers.

List of necessary materials for making a headband

  • white, green, yellow and olive Iranian foamiran;
  • iron;
  • lemon, peach, orange, brown, dark brown, olive oil pastels and sponge;
  • universal mold for leaves;
  • instant glue or thermal gun;
  • green narrow satin ribbon 1.5-2 m;
  • wire No. 28-30;
  • Olive tape;
  • metal rim;
  • beads and bead wire;
  • scissors.

There will be no separate pattern for flowers. We cut out blanks for petals and sepals from white and green foamiran.

We cut out rectangles measuring 4*3 cm from white foamiran to form flower petals. There are 6 pieces for one flower. For the headband we make 3 flowers. And rectangles 2*3 cm for the petals of the bud. There are 3 pieces per bud. For the rim we make 2 buds. From green foamiran we cut out squares for the sepals, 3.5*3.5 cm for the flower and 3*3 cm for the bud.

We cut out the petals in the shape of hearts, and fold the sepals in half twice and cut out a drop, when we unfold it we get a four-petaled circle.

Take a strip of white foamiran 1.5*4.5 cm for one flower and finely chop the fringe.

We tint the petals for the bud with lemon oil pastel, the top of the petal 1 cm is tinted with peach oil pastel. To ensure that the glue holds well, we do not tint the tip of the petal. We apply tinting on both sides.

We tint the flower petals in the same way as for the buds and additionally tint the very edge of the petals with orange oil pastel.

We tint the fringe with brown pastel, and go over the very edge with dark brown. We tint on both sides.

We tint the edges of the sepals with brown pastel.

From yellow foamiran we cut out 2*3 cm rectangles and cut out oblong leaves.

We heat the leaves on an iron at wool-silk temperature and squeeze them well on the mold.

We tint the leaves on both sides with olive oil pastels.

We process all petals the same way. We heat the silk-wool on an iron at a temperature, fold it like an accordion, grind especially the top of the petals, straighten it and make a depression, like a spoon.

We heat the sepals on an iron and curl the ends.

We fold the fringe strip into 4 layers and lightly rub it together.

We form droplets from foil for the base of the bud and place them on the wire.

We take small petals and glue the bases, close the foil, glue the petals overlapping.

So we prepared 2 buds.

We take the fringe and glue it onto the wire, having first made a loop on the wire.

Glue 3 petals in a circle to the fringe.

We glue the second row of petals between the petals of the first row, that is, in a checkerboard pattern.

Having collected the buds and flowers, we glue the sepals. And we treat the wire of all the flowers and buds with an olive-colored tape.

To make the headband look beautiful and hold the decoration tightly, we wrap the headband with satin ribbon, gluing it in places.

The headband is ready, let's start decorating.

First, we glue the leaves onto the rim. Then we try on and beautifully place the buds and grass. We glue the wire from the buds with the next row of leaves and cut off the excess.

Then we glue the flowers and also glue the wire with the next row of leaves.

We can glue beads or beads collected on bead wire between the flowers to decorate our headband. We glue the leaves from the other edge under the last flower in the opposite direction.

We also attach the flower in the opposite direction, as if closing our decoration, making it complete.

Our decoration is ready.

If you love interesting and colorful hair decorations, this article is for you. In it we will introduce you to how to make a headband of roses from foamiran, as well as artificial flowers.

When should we decorate our hair?

Various hairpins and headbands with flowers are now becoming very popular. They are worn by girls, women, little girls. Such a bright accessory will help out at any celebration or photo shoot. Your look will immediately become festive.

Buying such a product is quite an expensive pleasure, and it will not always be suitable for your outfit and hairstyle. It’s much more interesting and enjoyable to make it yourself.

Beginning of work.

We need a base. They come in plastic and iron. Plastic headbands are wider, iron ones are thin and invisible in the hair. They bend and are suitable for both a child and a woman. I prefer iron bases. The price of such products is relatively low. If you want to save even more, you can weave a base from wire yourself by wrapping it with tape. Then our decoration will turn into a hair wreath.

For decoration we will need artificial flowers or roses made of foamiran, lace or some suitable fabric, a glue gun, and scissors. Secondary glue is also allowed. As you can see, no special tools are required.

Let's get down to business.

We separate the flowers from the branches using scissors.

Often elements can fall apart after being separated, so all layers of each flower and stamen need to be additionally glued with a glue gun. Insert the rod into the gun, plug it in and wait until hot glue flows out of the spout. It dries very quickly, hurry up.

If you choose flowers made from foamiran for decoration, which you can buy in a store or make yourself, you can immediately glue them to the base. The plastic blank can be slightly sanded to give it roughness. This only applies to the glue gun. The disadvantage of purchased flowers is that they look very simple, incomparable to making roses yourself. Foamiran is a very beneficial material; from it you can make almost any flowers that your imagination draws. Then it will take several hours to make each element, but such products look incredibly beautiful and natural. You decide. On the Internet you will find many options for making such flowers.

So, if you have a decor made of foamiran, it can be glued to any base using second glue. For a glue gun, it is better to sand the plastic blank a little. And your headband with foamiran flowers is ready. But sometimes it can look like a child's craft if you approach its creation carelessly.

The final stage.

We have a base and glued flowers and leaves separated from the branches. You won’t be able to just stick them onto the workpiece; for better adhesion, we recommend wrapping the rim with fabric, lace or tape. This will add additional charm and zest. When using lace, a special shade of shabby appears. First we select the decor of the headband. You can combine the composition with leaves and berries, it all depends on the idea. It is better to glue from the center, moving to the edges, and the second option is from the edges to the center. If you are planning a symmetrical pattern, make sure you have enough materials.

Decor options.

Regardless of whether you are making a headband with foamiran or artificial flowers, there are several rules to ensure that your product turns out interesting and eye-catching.

  1. Don't forget about the color combination - cool tones set off warm and bright tones.
  2. Berries can be used as a bright accent.
  3. The more details, the richer our decoration looks.
  4. You can fill not the entire frame with flowers, but stick the decor in only one part of it, placing emphasis on it. This option can be worn every day.

So, our headband is finished. We hope these simple tips will help beginning craftsmen create beautiful jewelry for themselves and their loved ones.

Such an unusual decoration can be created on your own only if you are armed with the necessary materials and, of course, patience. You can give such a headband to a friend, wear it with a bright summer dress, or make it for your daughter.
So, we will need:

1. Satin ribbon of different colors and different widths.
2. Scissors
3. Matches or lighter (to melt the edges of the tape)
4. Glue.
5. Headband.

We can start.

First, let's prepare roses for our headband. This can be done in different ways. I'll tell you about the simplest method.
1. Using only tape, glue and your own sleight of hand. At first, the ribbon may unravel several times, turning from a twisted rose into the same ribbon.
To prevent this from happening, it is better to take a rigid tape

start twisting the edge of the tape
It looks something like this:

This is the middle of our flower
Take and bend the tape
It turned out to be such a corner
We twist it around the middle

Again we bend the ribbon and press it from below and continue this way until the rose “blooms”, this is the wrong side - we melt the edge of the satin ribbon and glue it. This is the “front side”; we straighten the flower with our hands, straightening the petals.

2. Wrap a green satin ribbon tightly around the headband.

It will hold the roses and at the same time act as a background, creating the effect of leaves. Now we sew the roses to the wound ribbon.

You can create roses of different sizes and sew them in several rows - large, small, or make roses of the same size and sew them in one row, creating a thin bezel. It all depends on your taste, the length of hair on which the headband will “sit”. I made one row of flowers, diluting it in places with larger roses.
