Cake "Marble" got its name due to the combination of light and dark dough. According to the cooking technology, baking resembles a popular one, but in this case the pattern is not striped, but rather wavy, interspersed with chocolate twisty inserts on a light background.

Preparing this cute cupcake is very simple - alternately mix the components, divide into 2 parts, into one of which we add cocoa for coloring in a dark color.   • flour - 200 g;
  • sugar - 130 g;
  • vanillin - a pinch;
  • cocoa powder - 15 g;
  • milk - 100 ml;

How to make Marble Cake

  1. We mix the softened bar of butter with granulated sugar and carefully knead with a fork, combining the components into a single mass.
  2. Add all the eggs at once and stir.
  3. Sift the flour combined with baking powder and vanilla in parts to the oil mass, each time thoroughly mixing the mixture.
  4. We achieve a viscous, fairly thick dough.
  5. We add milk.
  6. Mix the mass until smooth.
  7. Divide the dough in half, sift the cocoa powder into one part. Stir carefully, achieving a uniform coloring of the mass in a dark color.
  8. We rub the bottom and walls of the cake mold with a small piece of butter (in our example, we used a rectangular silicone container measuring 23x13 cm). We form a marble cupcake: lay out half of the light dough with the bottom layer.
  9. Distribute ½ of the dark mass on top. Next, repeat the layers.
  10. With the help of a wooden skewer or a knife blade, we make several wave-like movements in the dough. This will help lightly blend the layers of contrasting color, which will give the finished cake a marbled look when cut.
  11. We put the form in an oven preheated to 170 degrees. Bake the marble cake for about 40-50 minutes (time may vary for each oven). Readiness is checked with a wooden skewer, deeply immersing it in the crumb. If the stick remains clean, without traces of raw dough, remove the pastry from the oven. A crack will appear on the surface of the cake - this is quite normal!
  12. Cut the pastry into small pieces and serve.
