Classic walnut pie: recipe with photos

To prepare it, sift 200 g of flour into a separate deep container. Peel walnuts (200 g) and leave only the kernels. They need to be crushed into crumbs. You can use a blender for this. If you don’t have one, a rolling pin for dough will do, with which you first need to break large kernels and then roll them into crumbs or simply break them into smaller pieces.

Add 10 g of baking powder to the flour, about 1-2 tsp. vanilla sugar and a small pinch of salt. Mix the dry mixture well. And leave for 15 minutes so that the flour is saturated with oxygen. Meanwhile, melt 150 g of butter in a water bath, add the same amount of sugar to it. Mix well. Add chopped nuts to the butter and sugar and mix well.

Then gradually add the dry mixture of flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar and salt. Stir constantly. Add two egg yolks to the dough. Don’t rush to throw away the whites. You will still need them.

Now beat the whites until fluffy and thick foam. Transfer the dough into the same container. Knead it well. Cover the dough with cling film and let it rest. Don’t waste time and turn on the oven at 180 degrees and let it heat up for about 10 minutes.

Walnut pie is best baked in a silicone mold, which should preferably be greased with margarine or butter. Then spread the dough evenly into it and bake in the oven for about 35 minutes.

After the time has passed, check for doneness using a wooden stick (match or toothpick). Pierce the pie with a wooden stick. If there is dough left on it, it means the dessert is not ready yet. When the stick remains completely dry, then the pie can be removed from the oven.

Add apples

You can add a variety of ingredients to walnut pie. It's the perfect combination if you add apples. To cook with walnuts, you need to sift 100 g of flour into a dry container, add a small pinch of salt, a little baking powder, 125 g of milk and 2 eggs. Mix the ingredients well. If desired, you can add a little ground cinnamon. It emphasizes the elegance and unusualness of the dish.

The dough should be liquid and without lumps. Cover it with a clean towel or cling film. Let it rest for no more than 15 minutes. Meanwhile, you need to peel and cut 4 small apples. Remove the core and cut as desired. The nuts also need to be peeled and crushed into crumbs using a blender or rolling pin.

Baking apple pie

Turn the oven on 180 degrees. While it's heating, take a silicone baking pan. If you don't have it, don't worry. You can take a regular frying pan without a handle. Line it with parchment paper and pour the dough into it. Place apples on top. Sprinkle walnuts and a little cinnamon over the fruit. Now you can put the filled form in the oven.

The apple walnut pie needs to bake for at least 30 minutes. It all depends on the oven model.

After 30 minutes, check the cake for doneness using a match or toothpick. How to do this is described in the previous recipe.

Pie with carrots and walnuts

This is an easy and very tasty dessert. To prepare it, you need to peel two large large carrots. They should be sweet and juicy. Grate the carrots on a coarse or fine grater (depending on your preference), sprinkle with sugar to form juice. The nuts need to be peeled and turned into fine crumbs.

Sift 150 g of flour into a separate container. Put 1 tsp there. soda that needs to be extinguished with a few drops of vinegar. Add 3 small eggs or 2 large ones to a container with flour. Mix everything. Add 100 g sugar. Pour the mixture with vegetable oil (2 tbsp), add 1 tbsp. l. sour cream to make the dessert softer. Add 2 tbsp. l. honey. You can add a little vanillin for flavor if desired.

Mix the mixture well. Add carrots to the dough along with the resulting juice and nuts.

You should have a dough with the consistency of thick sour cream. Cover it with a towel or film and let it rest.

Baking carrot cake

Meanwhile, turn the oven to 180 degrees to heat thoroughly. Next, grease a baking sheet or other pie pan. If you don't have butter or margarine, you can add a little vegetable oil. You can also line the pan with parchment paper. There is no need to lubricate it.

Pour the prepared dough into the baking dish and bake. As you remember, carrots are raw. Therefore, it should be baked in the dough for at least 50 minutes.

After this time, check with the walnuts for doneness. This can be done using a toothpick, a match and another wooden stick. Pierce them into the dough. If the stick remains dry, then the dessert is ready.

The recipe for pie with walnuts is very easy. However, there are several cooking secrets that every housewife should know. If you like nuts, then you can not make crumbs out of them, but add broken kernels. Then you will feel this unforgettable, original and refined taste even more.

If you are making a pie with only walnuts, add steamed and softened raisins to the dough. It emphasizes the taste and aroma of the dessert. You need to add a little less raisins and nuts.

Two types of fat (vegetable and animal) create an interesting texture for the crust. It turns out crumbly, flaky and crispy. You can use butter or margarine. In any case, you will get a high-quality cake.

Ingredients:

  1. flour (400-450 grams);
  2. water (140 ml);
  3. yeast (15 grams);
  4. butter (75 grams);
  5. vegetable oil (70 ml);
  6. sugar (15 grams);
  7. semolina (70 grams);
  8. milk (70 ml);
  9. walnuts (100 grams);
  10. cinnamon (1 dessert spoon);
  11. sugar for filling (120 grams).

Preparation:

1. Prepare the filling. Fill the required amount of semolina with milk (or you can take milk cream). We wait 10 minutes.

2. Place the semolina mixture, chopped nuts, cinnamon and 120 grams of sugar in a bowl. Combine all components until the mass becomes homogeneous.

3. Now let's make the pie dough. Mix 15 grams of granulated sugar with warm water and pressed yeast. We wait 15 minutes. And after 15 minutes add two types of oil.

4. Pour oxygen-enriched flour into a bowl (for this we sift the flour).

5. We collect all the components together.

6. Leave the preparation for the Arabic pie for 40-45 minutes. The dough will rise during this time.

7. Divide the dough into two pieces (1/3 and 2/3 parts). Stretch a large piece of dough into a thin layer and place it on the pan. Cover the crust with the prepared nut-semolina filling.

8. Cover the pie with the second part of the workpiece. We secure the edges of the workpiece.

Start preparing the dough with eggs. They need to be beaten into a deep bowl in which it will be convenient for you to work with a mixer.


Immediately after this add granulated sugar.


Beat these two components with a mixer until the mixture becomes lighter and fluffier. It will increase in size by about 2-3 times.


When the mixture is ready, pour in the milk in a thin stream. It can be taken from the refrigerator or at room temperature.


Stir the mixture. Add flour and baking soda as desired. Gently whisk the dough until smooth.


The dough is of medium thickness.


Chop the walnuts and add to the bowl with the dough.


Add ground cinnamon to the batter to add flavor to the cake.

Bake the walnut pie at 170 degrees for about 35 minutes.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • Flour - 250 gr
  • Eggs - 3 pcs.
  • butter - 100g
  • sour cream - 200g
  • sugar - 125g
  • soda - 1 tsp.
  • baking powder - 1 tsp.
  • vanillin - 1 pinch

Filling:

  • Walnuts - 170g (more is possible!))))
  • Sugar - 100g
  • butter - 50g
  • Cinnamon - 0.5 tsp. (I didn't put it)

How to bake:

1. Grind soft butter thoroughly with sugar.

2. Add soda to the sour cream and leave it, it begins to grow.

3. Add vanillin to the butter and sugar and, while whisking, add eggs one at a time.

4.Add sour cream to the egg-butter mixture and mix gently.

5. Add sifted flour with baking powder.

6. Mix well. It turns out like pancakes.

7. Grind the nuts (I don’t do much) and mix with sugar.

8. Grate the butter (I chopped it), add it to the nuts, add the cinnamon and crush it into crumbs with your hands.

9. Line a 24 cm mold with paper, grease it with a little oil and pour out half the dough.

10. Distribute half of the nut filling on top.

11. Place the second part of the dough on top. It should be noted that with a dry filling like ours, this is somewhat inconvenient.

So try it with a knife. Or, as I often see in Italian programs, for convenience, the cream or batter is placed in a plastic (or pastry) bag, then it is laid on top, cutting off the corner and in a spiral.

Then your filling will be clearly in the middle, and not like mine, mixed together.))))

12. Sprinkle with the remaining crumbs and bake in an oven preheated to 180 C for 45-55 minutes.

I advise you to bake for 45 minutes, then reduce to 150C and bake for another 10-15 minutes. Test doneness with a wooden skewer.
