  • canned red beans - 300g;
  • Yalta onion - 1 piece (large);
  • bell red pepper - 1 piece;
  • walnuts - 1/2 cup;
  • garlic - 1 clove;
  • cilantro - 1 bunch;
  • khmeli-suneli - 1/2 tsp;
  • olive oil - 2-3 tbsp;
  • wine vinegar - 1 tsp;
  • lemon juice - 1 tbsp.

To prepare the “Tbilisi” salad with beans in its more “feminine” interpretation, we replace the traditionally used beef with tongue or chicken, which, like other products, must be prepared for further mixing.

Meat

There are several ways to cook meat in this case. Chicken can be either smoked, boiled or even fried in a frying pan. Each of these methods has its place; here you should be guided only by individual preferences. We divide the smoked ham into fibers; in other cases, the meat is prepared independently. Wash the chicken breast, remove excess fat and veins and cut into small cubes. When frying in a frying pan, add a little vegetable oil and cook until golden brown.

If the roasted option seems most attractive to you, you should try to reduce its fat content and calorie content as much as possible. To do this, you can place the fried pieces on a paper towel and blot the top with a second one; this procedure will help get rid of any remaining oil.

It is better to boil beef tongue, so the taste of the product in combination with the other ingredients of the salad will be more harmonious. We wash it or the chicken, cut it into small cubes and cook in salted water until tender, you can use a bay leaf. Chill the chicken without removing it from the broth, so it will be juicier.

Beans and onions

It is necessary to drain the liquid from a can of canned beans and rinse the beans. It is more convenient to use a sieve or colander for this. Yalta onions are ideal, but it is worth remembering that they are very capricious in storage and may not wait for their “finest hour”. Cut it into half rings.

Pepper and nuts
