How to dye eggs in onion skins

When calculating the color, you can use this hint as a guide. If you take the peels of 8 onions to 2 cups of water, you will get a red-brown color.

Prepare a dye solution. To do this, add onion peels to a pan of water.
Bring to a boil and simmer for about half an hour.

Strain the “paint”, discarding the husks.

Immerse the prepared eggs in the solution so that it completely covers them.
Boil the eggs in the onion broth over low heat “hard-boiled”, that is, 12-15 minutes.

If the eggs have not received the required shade during this time, return them back to the coloring solution.

A very interesting option is burgundy-green or brown-diamond eggs. To perform them, you will need onion peels, brilliant green (standard bottle, 10 ml per 1.5 liter), nylon stocking (or gauze), gloves (to protect the skin of your hands from brilliant green).

Primary staining

In a deep bowl, mix 3 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of vinegar and a few drops of food coloring. Dip the egg into the solution and wait until it takes on the desired shade.

In a second bowl, using the same recipe, prepare another solution of a different color.
To form streaks on the surface of the shell, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the mixture. Lightly fluff the surface with a fork.
