Oatmeal bars of prunes and dried apricots. Cooking a bar of dried fruits and nuts - sweet and healthy

Hello dear readers and guests of my blog!

In the last article about I promised to tell you a recipe for a healthy snack, which you can easily take with you on any walk.

Here, I keep my promise, check out the new article:

Surely many of you have seen dried fruit bars in stores. They have become very popular lately. And this is not surprising! After all, this is not only a wonderful hearty snack (especially if there are nuts in the composition), but also a wonderful alternative to sweets!
And if you cook it yourself, then the benefits are solid! :)

There are many recipes. By making different combinations of ingredients, you can get interesting flavor combinations. You can cook bars either only from dried fruits, or add nuts to them (You can talk about how nuts are useful). An additional highlight is given by various seeds, for example: sesame, flax, pumpkin, etc. There are also recipes with poppy seeds and coconut.

In general, it is rather difficult to stop at any one recipe, since they are all good in their own way πŸ™‚

Today we are going to make two types of bars at once. For this we need the following ingredients:

β„– 1
Dried apricots - 170 g
Figs - 150 g
Dried cranberries - 80 g
Cashews - 60 g
Almonds - 60 g

β„– 2
Dried apricots - 140 g
Prunes - 140 g
Dried cherries - 100 g
Walnut - 60 g
Hazelnuts - 60 g

I want to note that honey, and even more so sugar, we do not add! Dried fruits are sweet enough by themselves. In addition, the mass turns out to be sticky and additional binder in the form of honey is not required.

So, let's begin:

The first step is to thoroughly wash all dried fruits. If they are hard, then pour boiling water over them for 5-10 minutes. Then we dry them on a paper towel, since we don't need excess moisture!

Grind the nuts using a coffee grinder or blender. By the way, to make the nuts easier to grind, you can pre-dry them in the oven. Do not fry, but dry! As you can imagine, raw nuts are more beneficial than fried ones. This time I left the nuts raw.

It is enough just to grind finely, it is not necessary to bring everything to the state of flour! For example, I even like it when the nuts in the bars are felt :) You can even chop some of the nuts with a knife!

Grind dried fruits in a blender. And to make it easier to grind, we cut them into pieces first.

Here's what happened:

Now let's move on to a more creative stage πŸ™‚ Combine chopped dried fruits and nuts!
I got the following mass:

In principle, this could already be eaten)) For example, the preparation of the mass for sweets from dried fruits and nuts ends at this stage. You can read the recipe for making sweets in this article:
But here, in the end, we need a different consistency, denser, so that the bars are better stored (Although what am I talking about? They do not store for a long time, because everyone loves them! πŸ™‚ and it would be more convenient to take them with you somewhere, and just take it in. Therefore, this mass needs to be dried.

We cover the sheet with parchment, greasing it with vegetable oil.

Let's consider the simplest way to form bars.
We spread the mixture on parchment, leveling it into a uniform layer.
The photo shows two types of bars. The one that is lighter is No. 1, the one that is darker is No. 2.

We put the sheet in the oven. And here it is important not to overdo it with the temperature! We expose no more than 60 degrees! Dry for about 2 hours on each side.

To make the layer dry better, and for greater convenience, when turning it over, you can cut it into separate bars. When this mixture is completely dry, it will become quite tight and it will be problematic to do this.

There is another way. Bars can be formed directly from the resulting nut and fruit dough. You can even show your imagination and mold bars of various intricate shapes (animals, Christmas trees, etc.). It will be very interesting in a company with children πŸ™‚ However, it will take more time, especially if there is a lot of test. In this case, the bars are dried in the same way, only there will be no need to cut them, but simply turn them over.

After the bars are dry, wrap them in parchment for better storage.

And everything is ready, you can eat!
How do you like the recipe?

Thank you all for your attention and bon appetit, dear readers!
See you in new articles!

Hello everyone. Today I will share with you a recipe for healthy sweets made from dried fruits and nuts, it is very easy to make them yourself. And, most importantly, you will also feel at ease after using them.

It's summer now, and you don't always want to indulge yourself with cakes and cookies. Still, subconsciously at this time of year, you try to choose lighter and healthier food. This recipe is ideal for those who care about their figure (it is completely free of refined sugar) and about their health (this is just a storehouse of useful vitamins and minerals). I cook such sweets very often, which I advise you too.

How to make healthy candies / energy bars with your own hands at home step by step recipe with photo.

Ingredients:

  1. 150 grams of nuts (walnuts in my case)
  2. 100 grams of prunes
  3. 100 grams of dried apricots
  4. 100 grams of raisins (I have a jumbo variety)
  5. 70 grams dried cherries or dates

Preparation:

You can change the ingredients to your taste. It is only better to add sweet dried fruits such as dried cherries or dates in small amounts. Otherwise, the sweets are sugary.

All dried fruits must be pre-washed and dried with paper towels.

Nuts should be roasted in a dry frying pan, or dried in the oven at 100ΒΊ for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. So, the nuts will become more fragrant. If you use peanuts, then naturally you need to peel them.

Well, the preparation itself is extremely simple. All dried fruits and nuts must be chopped in a blender or food processor. This should be done in small portions so as not to harm the technique.

And we roll candy the size of a walnut.

Additionally, you can sprinkle our sweets in crushed nuts, poppy seeds, coconut, sesame seeds.

Or, instead of sweets, you can cook such bars, wrapping them with baking paper, you will get a super healthy snack, which is convenient to take with you both to work and for a walk.

Such sweets are a great alternative to "harmful" sweets for little children, in addition to the absence of sugar, with such a dessert you will raise the child's immunity. If babies are not allergic to honey, then a couple of spoons of this very useful product can be safely sent to the mass.

Are you on a diet, but craving for sweets? Prepare such candies, it will help you stay on the right course!

This is quite a recipe that you can safely afford to eat at night without a twinge of conscience. And soon I will add another recipe from the right nutrition - pp truffles. Do not miss.

Bon Appetit.

Now I'll tell you about fruit bars. They are small, light, but high in calories and perfectly satisfy hunger.

For cooking we need:

150 grams of dry prunes
150 grams of dried apricots
80 grams of various nuts (I took almonds and hazelnuts)

The dried fruits were washed, chopped finely, then chopped with a blender. The nuts are crushed in a mortar.

Mix dried fruits with nuts and get a "dough".

We make bars from the dough.

I got 8 pieces. In order to remove excess moisture, I put the bars in the dryer overnight.

This is basically all.

It remains to pack the bars in individual packaging. I used vacuum foil bags. I predict the shelf life of sweets packed in this way around the year.

Now let's summarize. I made eight 35 gram fruit bars. Healthy, tasty and very satisfying. These bars will now certainly be included in my rations.

Finally, I will give the calculations of the energy value.

The value of one 35 gram bar will be 160 kcal (total -1280 kcal)
proteins - 3.5 (28)
fats - 5.6 (44.5)
carbohydrates - 21.6 (173.15)

Thank you for your attention and bon appetit!
