Recently, more and more distillates are appearing, and this is encouraging. As much as I can, I try to try different types. When visiting the “Fragrant World”, my attention was drawn to the line of distillates from the Armenian “Land of Stones”, which included vodkas made from mulberries, pomegranates, dogwoods and grapes. Strictly speaking, these are not vodkas, but distillates, so it would be more correct to call them mulberry, pomegranate, dogwood and grappa, but this is all up to the manufacturer. I was most interested in the mulberry product, since I know that for Armenians this is a cult drink, almost more so than cognac. The only thing that was somewhat surprising when reading the back label text was the mention of double distillation (why?).
