Chocolate granola (vegan). Chocolate granola Diet chocolate granola

This chocolate granola is so easy to make and so delicious that you just can't leave it out in plain sight. It disappears very quickly :-). After all, even such a healthy product of cereals, nuts, seeds and dried fruits should be consumed in moderation. With this granola you can prepare desserts with seasonal fruits and berries, with yogurt or cottage cheese, add it to milk or sprinkle it on baked goods. It is also good as a healthy snack between meals. When you want something special, but the main meal is still far away.

Video recipe for making homemade granola:

As with anything, there is room for your imagination to run wild. You can change almost everything except the proportions. The flakes can be anything. I really love buckwheat in granola. You can use mixtures of different ones, I take 7 in 1. Nuts and seeds can be different, as well as dried fruits. Chocolate can also be different, white or milk. But, you need to take into account that the granola will then be sweeter and also a little sticky. High-quality dark chocolate produces a non-sticky shell. And even the best quality milk or white chocolate will be a little sticky. But anyway, this granola will definitely be delicious!

Ingredients

  • 300 grams cereal flakes (you can use oatmeal or a mixture of different ones, like mine)
  • 50 grams coconut flakes
  • 50 grams of almonds
  • 50 grams of pumpkin seeds
  • 75 grams coconut oil (can be replaced with butter)
  • 150 grams of honey
  • 200 grams of dried fruits
  • 100g dark chocolate

1) Preheat the oven to 150°C.

2) In a deep bowl, mix the flakes with coconut flakes, seeds and almonds.

3) Heat honey and butter in a small saucepan and mix until smooth. Heat until almost boiling.

4) Pour in honey and butter until the flakes and grains form and mix well.

5) Transfer to an ungreased baking sheet, level and place in the preheated oven.

6) Bake, stirring occasionally, until the oats and grains are well browned, about 20 to 25 minutes.

As much as I love new things - new recipes, new flavor combinations, new ideas, etc. - granola has become one of the constants in my life and in my kitchen. I first tried making granola more than a year ago, and since then I’ve been making it this way and eating it for breakfast all the time; sometimes, of course, I make some deviations and have breakfast in a different way, but in general it is granola that most often appears on my table in the morning. For me, this is an ideal breakfast, not boring at all, I don’t get bored eating it every day, I like it most with milk (I used to prefer it with yogurt), and even without milk I like to just grab a spoon or two, some kind of narcotic thing, as soon as I open it refrigerator and I see her, I lose my will))

I tried different granola recipes, in the end I developed two favorite options, which I repeat constantly, sometimes I try something new, I’ll tell you about my two favorites + one more recipe.

Granola with almonds and pecans

1.5 cups oatmeal
- 90 ml bran
- 90 ml wheat germ
- 2 tbsp. l. light brown sugar
- 1/2 - 2/3 cup chopped almonds
- 1/2 - 2/3 cup chopped pecans
- 5 tbsp. l. coconut flakes
- a pinch of salt

2 tbsp. l. maple syrup
- 3 tbsp. l. honey

Mix dry ingredients separately and liquid ingredients separately (mix liquids well). Pour the liquid into the dry, stir. Place in an even layer on a baking sheet, bake at 160-180C for about half an hour, stirring and turning the granola every 10-15 minutes.

This is perhaps my most favorite recipe, I came to these proportions after several trials, and for me this combination is ideal. Granola turns out very aromatic, crispy, incredibly tasty, just like a dessert, I sometimes sprinkle it on cottage cheese, and, as I already said, it’s very tasty to eat it just like that “without anything.”

When serving, you can add any dried fruits to the cup, I prefer granola in its “pure” form and usually don’t add anything, but I like this option with dried cranberries, sometimes I add

Sometimes I add 2 tbsp to the liquid part. l. orange juice, but if there is no orange, then it’s fine without it. I also use sesame from time to time - if there is no coconut flakes, but I like it better with coconut.

For this granola I use wheat or oat bran, but for the next one I use rye bran.

Granola with seeds

1.5 cups oatmeal
- 90 ml rye bran
- 90 ml wheat germ
- 1 tbsp. l. brown sugar
- 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- a pinch of salt

3 tbsp. l. honey
- 3 tbsp. l. vegetable oil

The cooking method is the same.

It's also very tasty. I repeat this option, along with the first, regularly, usually alternating - nut, then with seeds. Sometimes I add some spices to the mixture - cinnamon, cardamom, etc.

And one more option.

Chocolate granola

I somehow came across a recipe for this granola, the authorship belongs to Naizhdela Lawson, and the recipe interested me very much, even though I don’t have a special love for peanuts, this is my least favorite nut, nevertheless I decided to try it. I changed something in the recipe, I’ll write the original and how it was for me.

1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 4 1/2 cups oatmeal
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 3/4 cup sesame seeds
- 3/4 cup applesauce
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/3 cup brown rice syrup
- 1/4 cup liquid honey
- 2 cups peanuts
- 1 tsp. salt

The cooking method is usual, mix the dry ingredients separately, separately the liquid ones, mix and bake, the recipe indicated a time of 40-60 minutes at T=155C, I usually raise the temperature a little more and bake for a shorter time.

As for my changes, the first thing I did was eliminate applesauce from the ingredients. I prepared this granola twice, the first time it was like this: I took 400 ml of flakes, the rest of the ingredients accordingly, added 2 tbsp. l. wheat germ, instead of rice syrup (what kind of thing I don’t know) I took regular dark molasses (tumma siirappi). The second time - I had to put another half a pack of peanuts somewhere - I improved the granola a little to my taste, and it turned out like this:

300 ml oatmeal
- 100 ml wheat germ
- 30 g cocoa
- a pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 cup coconut flakes
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tbsp. l. brown sugar
- 1 cup peanuts

2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
- 1.5 tbsp. l. maple syrup
- 1.5 tbsp. l. honey

And so it turned out much nicer for my taste :) although peanuts still don’t give me particularly warm feelings, and if I want chocolate granola again, I’ll most likely take other nuts.

Have a delicious breakfast:)

Tired of porridge for breakfast? That way!

Today we are preparing delicious chocolate granola.

Breakfast and dessert – two dishes in one!

Moderately sweet, very aromatic.

Consists of oats, agave syrup, cocoa and dates.

If desired, you can add chocolate chips, which will make your breakfast especially appetizing.
Both children and adults will love it! Good morning everyone!

Come on! Are we ready? Let's try!

We will need:

2 cups (1 cup = 250 ml) whole oats

1 cup lightly crushed

1/2 cup almonds

1/2 cup cocoa without sugar

50 ml. coconut oil

4 tbsp. tablespoons agave syrup or honey + 2 teaspoons brown sugar

4 dates (or 3 tablespoons raisins)

2 tbsp. spoons of any chocolate or chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 150C/300F.

Grind 1 cup oatmeal and almonds in a blender.
You need to get slightly chopped almonds and slightly chopped oatmeal.

The latter should not become torment. Mix with basic whole oatmeal.

Mix cocoa, butter, sugar and syrup in a cup, then add this mixture to the dry ingredients. It's easier to knead with your hands, but a spoon will work too. Check that the entire dry mixture is covered with the chocolate mixture.

We line a baking sheet with baking paper and distribute it onto our composition.
We bake under close supervision. Granola must be stirred constantly. Approximately every 5 minutes. This way you will be sure that it will not burn. Bake for 15 minutes, then turn off the oven and remove. It will finally harden on the outside.

Chop dates and chocolate chips.

Let the granola sit and cool for a bit.

Serve with milk or juice! Very tasty!

Bon appetit!

I’m generally partial to anything that can be crunchy, but this chocolate granola just captivated me, almost blew me away! Chocolate-covered, crispy toasted nuts - cashews, hazelnuts and almonds, next to crunchy pumpkin and sesame seeds, drowning in toasted oatmeal with chocolate pieces... And when we pour milk over the granola, it turns chocolate too! Mmmm... This is just a fairy tale, a real paradise for chocoholics! And, of course, chocolate granola is just the perfect, incredibly tasty breakfast, which perfectly charges you with energy and good mood for the whole day.
The recipe for chocolate granola can be changed according to your preferences, change nuts and seeds, even vary their quantity a little, supplement with various dried fruits, but don’t touch the chocolate! This is sacred!

we need:

  • long-cooked oat flakes - 350 g (about 3 cups)
  • cashew nuts - 100 g (3/4 cup)
  • pumpkin seeds - 100 g (1/2 cup)
  • hazelnuts – 35 g
  • almonds – 35 g
  • sesame seeds (optional) - 5 tbsp.
  • brown sugar - 3 tbsp.
  • honey - 4 tbsp.
  • water - 75 ml
  • butter (butter or vegetable) - 15 g
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp.
  • dark chocolate - 100 g (the higher the % cocoa content, the better)

How to make chocolate granola (step-by-step recipe with photos):

In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, water, butter, and vanilla extract and heat over medium heat until butter has melted and sugar has dissolved.

Place nuts, seeds and oatmeal in a deep bowl, stir, add the liquid contents of the pan to the oat-nut mixture and stir again.

What else can you cook with your own hands for breakfast? I suggest you take note of the recipe.

Place the granola on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, carefully level it and bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown in an oven preheated to 190 C, stirring the granola every 5-7 minutes (don’t miss it, nuts and seeds burn very quickly without stirring).

Place the finished granola in a deep bowl. Break (chop) the chocolate into small pieces, pour half of the pieces into hot granola, mix. When the chocolate has melted, stir well again so that all granola ingredients are coated with a thin layer of chocolate.

Have a nice and happy breakfast, friends!

For me, the topic of breakfast is a big problem, because I can’t get up early, I just don’t turn on :) Since childhood, my most active period is the evening, or even the night, and in the morning I just walk around automatically, almost like a zombie. Of course, if it’s a day off, then I get up later and can already cook something tasty in the morning, but on weekdays my husband gets up at 6.30, and I go with him to pack him food with me and just for company. At 6.30 I can only press the kettle button and somehow make tea, so most often we have breakfast with yesterday's pastries (usually muffins) or sandwiches. Yogurts and cottage cheeses somehow didn’t catch on. But on the other hand, I think that a full breakfast is very important, so I’m trying to find some other suitable options. One of them - granola. I think everyone who has ever tried homemade granola knows how delicious it is. For me, it’s simply amazing how ordinary oatmeal (porridge of which I still won’t train myself to eat) with the addition of honey and butter turns into such a crispy pleasure in the oven! I've already made honey granola and I really liked it! We ate it for breakfast and just as a snack. But I get bored with cooking the same recipes (even very good ones) and want to try something new. And while searching for a granola recipe, I discovered that you can also make a chocolate version of granola! For a chocolate lover like me, this is already an ideal breakfast, both tasty and healthy. And yes, this makes me even want to wake up! :)

Granola recipes are all similar, it seems to me, the main thing is oatmeal, butter and honey (or other sweetener). The set of nuts, dried fruits and other additives can be changed as desired.

But I’ll still write it like I did, in case it will be useful to someone. :)
Chocolate nut granola
6 cups oatmeal
2 cups mixed nuts (I used almonds, hazelnuts and peanuts)
1/2 cup butter (butter or vegetable)
3/4 cup honey
1/4 cup cocoa powder

In a small saucepan, combine butter, honey and cocoa powder and cook for a couple of minutes, stirring, until smooth. Mix oatmeal and nuts, pour the butter-honey mixture over them and stir well so that all the nuts and flakes are covered with the honey mixture. Place on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and bake at 170 degrees for about 45 minutes. Stir the mixture with a spoon every 7-10 minutes to ensure it bakes evenly. (What aromas float around the house when it bakes!)
For those who especially love chocolate, you can take your favorite chocolate bar, cut it into small pieces and add it to the cooled granola. :)

Serve with milk, yogurt, or just enjoy!
