Recipe for lazy cabbage rolls with minced meat in a slow cooker. Lazy cabbage rolls in a slow cooker

Lazy cabbage rolls are a tasty and very filling dish. It is prepared in two ways. In one of them, all the ingredients are mixed and placed in a container for stewing in one mass. In the second method, small cutlets are formed from the total mass, which are also filled with sauce. The first option is more “lazy”. This is exactly how we will prepare lazy cabbage rolls.

The recipe calls for pork, but you can use any other meat (lamb, beef, rabbit, chicken) instead. You can also purchase ready-made minced meat in the store.

The most convenient way to cook lazy cabbage rolls is in a slow cooker - it greatly simplifies the cooking process. It turns out juicy, soft, appetizing. You can serve sour cream with lazy cabbage rolls.

Ingredients

  • Fresh white cabbage – 500 g;
  • Pork (pulp) – 400 g;
  • Onion – 1 pc.;
  • Carrots – 1 pc.;
  • Steamed rice – 100 g;
  • Sour cream – 0.5 tbsp.;
  • Tomato paste – 2 tbsp. l.;
  • Water – 1.5 tbsp;
  • Ground black pepper – 0.5 tsp;
  • salt - to taste.

Preparation

Wash and dry the piece of meat prepared for cooking (use paper towels or simply leave the meat to sit until all the water drains away). Cut it into small pieces. Peel the onion and cut into 4-6 pieces.

Pass the meat along with the onion through a meat grinder. If you use store-bought minced meat, simply mix it with chopped onion.

Rinse the rice thoroughly, first in warm and then in hot water until the flowing liquid becomes completely clear (not cloudy). Pour the prepared cereal into a large amount of boiling salted water. Boil it until half cooked and place on a sieve. Let the liquid drain and then cool the rice.

Chop the cabbage into thin strips. Peel the carrots and grate on a coarse grater.

Combine cabbage and carrots, sprinkle with a little salt and lightly rub with your hands.

Add rice and minced meat to the vegetables.

Stir the mixture until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Combine tomato paste, sour cream and half a glass of water. Salt the mixture to taste.

Lightly whisk the resulting sauce.

Place a mixture of vegetables, minced meat and rice into the multicooker bowl, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and pour in 1 glass of water. Close the device with a lid, turn it on to the “Extinguishing” mode, set the time to 1.5 hours and press the “Start” button.

After 1 hour of stewing, pour the tomato-sour cream sauce into the multicooker and stir.

Cook until the beep signal indicates the end of the program. Leave the dish with the appliance turned off for 2-3 hours to infuse.

Serve in portions, you can top with sour cream.

Lazy cabbage rolls with balls

Stuffed cabbage rolls in the form of balls are a little more difficult to prepare, but they are more similar to the traditional “not lazy” dish. We will prepare lazy cabbage rolls with regular white cabbage, but you can replace it with Beijing cabbage - it’s a matter of taste. With regular cabbage, cabbage rolls will be crispier and have a pronounced vegetable taste, while with Peking cabbage they will be softer and more tender.

Ingredients:

  • White cabbage – 0.5 small head;
  • Minced meat – 200-300 g;
  • Rice – 0.5 tbsp.;
  • Onion – 1-2 onions (depending on size);
  • Carrots – 1 large;
  • Egg – 1 pc.;
  • Flour – 2 tbsp;
  • Tomato paste – 70-80 g;
  • Sour cream – 3 tbsp;
  • Mayonnaise – 3 tbsp;
  • Water – 1-1.5 tbsp;
  • Garlic – 2 cloves;
  • Vegetable oil - for frying;
  • Salt, pepper, spices - to taste;
  • Fresh or dried greens.

Preparation:

  1. Place the rice in boiling salted water and leave to cook until half cooked.
  2. Meanwhile, peel the carrots, garlic and onions. Grate the carrots on a fine grater, cut the onion into cubes, and chop the garlic using a special press. If you don’t have this, you can grate the cloves on a fine grater or finely chop them with a knife.
  3. Heat a little vegetable oil in a deep frying pan and fry the onion in it until soft.
  4. Add carrots to the pan and cook again until soft. To speed up this process, you can cover the pan with a lid.
  5. Finely chop the cabbage and add to the frying pan with the vegetables. Season it with salt and crush it well with a spatula. Stir everything together, cover again and leave to simmer in its own juices for a few minutes. This is necessary so that the cabbage pieces become softer and can take the desired shape. If you decide to use Chinese cabbage, you can skip this step - it is already quite soft.
  6. Remove the vegetables from the stove and cool them slightly (not completely!). While they are still hot, add a couple of tablespoons of flour and mix thoroughly.
  7. Now we combine the ingredients together - half-boiled rice, raw minced meat, a prepared mixture of vegetables, chopped garlic. Season the mixture to taste, beat in a chicken egg and mix thoroughly.
  8. From the resulting mixture we form cutlet balls and place them in the multicooker bowl.
  9. Let's prepare the filling sauce: in a separate container you need to mix tomato paste, sour cream and mayonnaise. Lightly add salt and pepper to the mixture, add a glass of water to it and mix thoroughly. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more liquid.
  10. Pour the cabbage rolls with the resulting sauce, close the multicooker and turn it on to the “Stew” mode for 1 hour.
  11. Finely chop the greens. 5 minutes before the end of cooking, open the multicooker, sprinkle its contents with herbs and close the lid again.
  12. After the beep, leave the cabbage rolls to stand for another 20-30 minutes and you can serve. Offer them sour cream, ketchup or mayonnaise, as well as fresh herbs.
  • Lazy cabbage rolls are usually prepared with rice, but it can be replaced with other grains. For example, buckwheat or wheat.
  • For greater juiciness and satiety, you can add finely chopped mushrooms to the filling sauce for the dish. They will add a special taste to the sauce and make it richer.
  • To make lazy cabbage rolls look more beautiful, lay out the ingredients in layers and serve the dish without disturbing them. The order of ingredients can be any, but it will turn out much tastier if you place the meat layer above the cabbage layer.
  • Add any spices you like to the filling sauce. Any ground peppers, paprika powder or flakes, as well as bay leaves and coriander go especially well with cabbage rolls.
  • If you are trying to prepare a more dietary healthy dish, do not put mayonnaise in the filling sauce and use low-fat sour cream. The meat component also needs to be chosen correctly. For dietary cabbage rolls, minced chicken, rabbit, turkey or lean veal, as well as a mixture of them, are suitable.

Ingredients:

  • 1-1.5 kg fresh cabbage
  • 0.5 cups rice
  • 300 g minced pork
  • 2-3 carrots
  • 2 onions
  • 3 tbsp. ketchup or tomato paste
  • salt, ground pepper mixture
  • 3 tbsp. vegetable oil

Stuffed cabbage rolls are a tasty and beloved dish by many, some reminiscent of childhood, because mothers and grandmothers made them quite often. Until quite recently, not a single feast was complete without them, but now they have begun to be forgotten. It is worth noting that the process of preparing traditional cabbage rolls, where you need to separately boil a head of cabbage and separate the leaves, and then wrap the minced meat and rice filling in them, is quite labor-intensive. Many young housewives are simply afraid to start cooking. But the dish is very tasty.

But you can find a way out of this situation by preparing very lazy cabbage rolls in a slow cooker according to this recipe with rice and minced meat. The same ingredients are used, the taste is almost the same, but the process is greatly simplified. You just need to chop the cabbage, put all the ingredients in layers in a multicooker bowl, add water and simmer. The result will be simply excellent. And if you use meat broth instead of water, the taste will be even more intense. Of course, very lazy cabbage rolls will not be suitable for a holiday table, but for an ordinary family dinner it will be just a wonderful dish.

Lazy cabbage rolls with rice and minced meat can be cooked in a pan on a gas stove, but in a slow cooker (I have a VES Electric SK-A12 model) they turn out tender, aromatic and well stewed. I invite readers of the site to take a moment and make the same dish using this simple recipe.

Cooking method

  1. Prepare the necessary products. Remove the top leaves from the cabbage head, peel and wash the carrots and onions.

  2. Turn the multicooker on to the “Frying” mode and pour in the vegetable oil. Cut the carrots into pieces or grate them on a beet grater and place in a bowl. As soon as the carrots become soft, add the onion (chop into half or quarter rings). Fry everything together until golden brown, and then remove the vegetables to a plate. Turn off the multicooker for now.

  3. Chop the cabbage into thin strips, sprinkle with salt and rub with your hands. This will make it softer. This is especially true in winter, when cabbage leaves are no longer so tender. Place two thirds on the bottom of the bowl.

  4. Distribute rice evenly.

  5. Then minced meat. Sprinkle with salt and a mixture of ground pepper.

  6. Place remaining cabbage. Place fried vegetables on its surface.

  7. Grease with tomato paste or ketchup. Fill with water or broth to half the contents of the multicooker. Close the lid tightly.

  8. Turn on the “Extinguishing” program, 60 minutes. During cooking, periodically check the presence of liquid and add if necessary. By the time the time ends, almost all the water should be absorbed; if there is still too much of it, you can open the lid for 5-10 minutes, adding time on the display, then the excess moisture will quickly evaporate. At the end of cooking, stir and level with salt.

  9. Very lazy cabbage rolls are ready in the slow cooker. They are usually served with sour cream. Bon appetit!

Lazy cabbage rolls in the Redmond multicooker: cooking process

Cooking vegetables. Wash the cabbage, remove the top leaves if necessary and cut into thin, not very long strips. You can use a combine for this purpose.

Remove the skins from the onion and cut the vegetable into quarters of rings.

Cooking meat. Lazy cabbage rolls in the Redmond multicooker will turn out very tender and juicy if you use different meats, but you can use just one type.

Thoroughly rinse the product you have chosen, if necessary, remove veins and films, and grind in a meat grinder. It is advisable to grind the meat twice, so it will acquire a more tender consistency.

Frying process. Pour a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil into a multicooker bowl and add chopped onion.

Set to “Fry” mode, fry the onions without closing the lid for about 8 minutes and remembering to stir. When the onion turns golden, add the minced meat and stir. Continue frying the ingredients on the set mode for another 20 minutes.

Cooking rice. While the meat is cooking, work on the grains. Rice must be washed especially thoroughly, constantly changing the water and removing floating debris. Wash until the water becomes transparent: the purer the grain, the tastier the finished dish.

The final stage. Place chopped cabbage and prepared cereal into the prepared minced meat and onions, add additional ingredients - spices, salt, seasonings, pour tomato sauce over everything.

The sauce is easy to make - mix all the ingredients necessary for its preparation in a separate small container.

Stir all the products thoroughly, set the “Pilaf” or “Stew” mode for 1 hour 10 minutes.
