But first - attention! Sour cream and sour cream are different. Sometimes it’s just old sour cream - the kind that spent several days in the refrigerator, but it has a completely normal taste and color.... that is, the smell. And sometimes there is spoiled sour cream, which is no longer suitable for baking. You can recognize it by its unpleasant smell. Don’t cook anything with sour cream like this! It's better to throw away one spoiled product than to waste several more while trying to cook something. It’s like with sour milk: if it’s just sour, you can bake pancakes and pancakes, and if it’s rancid, feel free to throw it away.

The simplest, but very tasty cake made with sour cream and low butter content. It is especially tasty if baked from spelled flour. But it can also be made from wheat. You can add pieces of chocolate, various berries, nuts, poppy seeds to the dough.

Shake 3 eggs with 150 g of sugar. Add 1 cup (200 ml) sour cream and stir. Add 70 g of melted butter and mix again. Sift 1.5 cups of flour (200 g), mixed with 1 teaspoon of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of soda, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt, knead the dough. Add berries (do not defrost frozen ones, wash and dry fresh ones), chocolate, mix, pour into a mold lined with parchment and greased with a thin layer of vegetable oil. Bake at 180C for about half an hour until the skewer is dry. Cool the finished cake slightly, pour over chocolate glaze and sprinkle with nuts.

Variation on the theme of cupcake. This pie is especially tasty if you generously add dried fruits and nuts.

Lightly beat 3 small eggs with 1 cup of sugar, add 1 cup of sour cream, beat, sift 1-1.5 cups of flour with 1 teaspoon of baking powder or 0.5 teaspoon of soda, mix. The amount of flour may vary. Focus on the thickness of the dough: it should be thicker than for pancakes. Add pieces of dried apricots, prunes, raisins or dried cranberries, chopped nuts. After mixing, place the dough in a mold greased with butter and sprinkled with semolina. I recommend using a pan with a hole; the cake will bake faster in it. Or not very high, round or square. Bake sour cream at 180C for 50 minutes, check with a wooden skewer.

One of the most delicious and crumbly pies is manna! Usually mannikas are baked with kefir, but you can also use sour cream or fermented baked milk. Try delicious manna with sour cream and raspberries; you can also add other berries: strawberries, cherries, blueberries, currants; pieces of fruit: apricots, apples, pears.

Grind 30 g of softened butter with a spoon with 90 g of sugar (a little less than half a glass). Add 2 yolks and grind some more. Add 250 ml of sour cream and stir. In a separate bowl, mix 250 g of semolina with 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of soda. Combine the dry mixture with the liquid mixture, mix and leave for 10 minutes. Beat the whites with 1/4 teaspoon salt for 2-3 minutes at medium speed with a mixer until thick white foam. In 2-3 additions, fold the whipped whites into the dough. Place layers of dough in a pan lined with oiled paper, sprinkling with berries. We repeat the dough-berries only 3-4 times, you need 150 g of berries. The first and top layers are dough. Bake at 180C for 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the size of the pan and the height of the pie. When the top turns golden brown and the skewer comes out dry from the dough, the manna is ready.

Beat 3 eggs with 180 g of sugar for half a minute at low speed. Add 120 ml of sour cream and beat a little more. Sift 160 g of flour mixed with 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder and a pinch of vanillin, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt, mix. Pour in 50 ml of refined sunflower oil and mix again. Pour the dough into the mold, fan out thin slices of pears on top. Bake at 180C for 45-55 minutes.

What I love about this pie is that there is absolutely no butter in it. But there is sour cream :)

Beat 2 large eggs with 150 g of sugar for 4-5 minutes, starting with the mixer at minimum speed and increasing to maximum. Add 200 ml of sour cream and beat at low speed for 10 seconds. Add 100 g of dry poppy seeds and 100 g of chopped nuts. Mix in one direction in a circle. Sift 1 glass of flour (130 g, this is a glass of 200 ml) with 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder and a pinch of soda, salt (1/4 tsp), mix, pour into a mold lined with oiled parchment.
