What to cook without a microwave stove. What dishes can you cook without a stove? Salad with tuna

When I reviewed my kitchen appliances, I promised to tell you about the microwave.
Is it possible to do without a stove and pans if you have a grill? I'll check it today.

Such a beauty microwave oven Samsung GE83MRTS with a grill came to my kitchen for testing. It easily fits in the place of my old microwave. Due to a slight increase in dimensions, the volume of the oven has been increased from 20 to 23 liters, which will allow you to place a whole chicken inside the oven.

I love its stainless steel body and sleek design. It matches harmoniously with other furnishings in my kitchen. The touch display with function keys is very easy to use. It was easy for my elderly summer residents to learn to use it, because all the inscriptions were made in Russian.

About functionality.

Why do I need a microwave?
I sometimes use it for quick defrosting, but I rarely do it; I try (when I have time) to defrost food in the refrigerator gradually. Basically, I heat up cooked food in it. In addition, I often heat butter (for baking and cream) in a few seconds, quickly heat water, and warm up dried bread. Sometimes I put a mug of boiling water and melt the dough in it. But I don’t have to cook food in it, because I have quite a lot of other equipment in my kitchen.
But this time I decided to test the microwave to prepare complete meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Maybe we can make dessert too.

Breakfast.
We have long known that whole eggs cannot be boiled in the microwave.
But if you break two eggs into a glass, add a pinch of salt and mix lightly, then in 1 minute in microwave mode 600 W + Grill they are baked into funny fluffy scrambled eggs.
And bread, cut into thin slices, turns into nice toast in 3 minutes using the grill mode.

Breakfast is ready in five minutes. Excellent result.

For lunch I'll be making pike perch skewers with arugula pesto.
But first I need to learn the theory.
TDS is Samsung's innovative technology for evenly distributing microwaves in the oven.
Before starting work, you need to warm up the oven for 3 - 4 minutes in grill mode.

I have fresh pike perch fillet.

I will serve the finished pike perch on skewers.
The skewers must first be kept in water for a few minutes. If this is not done, they may catch fire under the grill.
I cut the pike perch fillet crosswise into pieces 2 cm thick. I place them on wet skewers. It should be noted here that it is important to string the pieces of fish across the direction of the fibers, otherwise they will fall apart during cooking.
I grease the fish with olive oil and sprinkle with lemon. I add a little salt and sprinkle with white pepper. I let it sit for five minutes.
During this time, I will prepare the arugula pesto sauce.
handful of arugula
1 clove of garlic
2 tbsp. pine nuts
50 ml olive oil
salt
I use an immersion blender to turn the greens into a great pesto sauce. You can add grated Parmesan to the sauce.

You can start cooking the fish.
This microwave model has 50 automatic programs with recipes for Russian cuisine. For example, boiled cod with butter and egg sauce, or Moscow-style fish, or Old Russian-style fish, trout with vegetables. To do this, you just need to select the program number and turn on the start button.
Okay, I still understand with fish, there’s nothing particularly difficult to prepare. But in the automatic menu “Soup-porridge” there are programs for preparing meat solyanka and borscht! What the manufacturers had in mind is beyond my understanding.

Anyway. I don’t need an automatic menu for my two kebabs. Just a couple of minutes in the maximum power mode of 600 W + grill will be enough. Just remember that the cooking time depends on the volume of food.

After I take the fish out of the oven, it needs to sit for another 2 minutes, since the cooking process continues for some time.

Oh, I don’t have fresh bread.
No problem! Microwave mode 600 W + Grill allows you to turn a stale panini bun into soft, airy bread in 1 minute. However, you need to remember to cover it with a damp cloth so that there is no accidental fire.

The pike perch turned out beautifully, incredibly juicy and tender.
To enhance the taste, I added another spoonful of capers to it.

Five hours. Time to feed the dogs.
Basya is already breaking through the window, and with all the experiments and filming, I forgot to defrost her meat!
And here the microwave will help me. With the Quick Defrost function, you can quickly and evenly defrost food without losing moisture.

Dinner.
For dinner, I decided to cook chicken with vegetables, stewed in sour cream sauce.

Ingredients
Half a chicken weighing about 700 g
2 large onions, cut into half rings
1 carrot, cut into strips
6 cherry tomatoes, halved
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 bunch of dill, finely chopped
6 large potatoes, quartered
1 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. full fat sour cream
1 tsp crushed coriander seeds
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 hot pepper, dry, ground
2 bay leaves
1 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp salt

Preparation
I grease the chicken, cut into small pieces, with olive oil, add dill, sprinkle with spices, pepper and 1 tsp. salt. I let it sit for half an hour.
During this time I chop all the vegetables.

At the bottom of a large heat-resistant glass bowl, I place layers of prepared chicken, onion, carrots, halves of cherry tomatoes, chopped into half rings, and finely chopped garlic. Add sour cream, add 1 glass of water (so that the liquid covers the chicken).
Place potato wedges on top and sprinkle them with 1 tsp. salt.

I don’t yet know how long this dish will take to cook, but I’m going by the user manual and the total weight of the dish.

First, I cover the bowl with a plate.
In 600 W + grill mode I will cook for about 35 minutes.

Periodically I stop the stove and stir the top layer of potatoes.

After 40 minutes the potatoes were ready.

And, of course, the chicken was ready. She has kept her appearance perfectly.

And how juicy and tasty it turned out!

I can’t say that I saved time on preparing the dish compared to a conventional stove or oven, but I was quite pleased with the result. Both the chicken and potatoes were cooked perfectly, and we dined with great pleasure.

Baked persimmon.
Microwave mode 600 W + grill 3 minutes.
Amazing effect. The tough persimmon turned into the most delicate aromatic sweetness. Delicious.

Now, after using the oven extensively, I need to clean the inside of the oven. The inside of the oven has a bioceramic coating; it is very durable and wear-resistant, so there are no scratches or rust on it. This coating provides complete antibacterial protection and is easily and quickly cleaned of grease and other contaminants. To clean, I place a cup of water in the microwave and turn it on for 5 minutes at maximum power (just don’t fill the cup full, otherwise all the water will splash out). All I have to do is wipe the surface with a dry cloth, and the microwave is ready for use again.

I think it's a microwave Samsung GE83MRTS passed the tests with honor, and can easily replace a missing stove, for example, in a summer cottage.

If you are in a place where there is no stove¸ or one that is broken, cooking will become more difficult. And yet there are dishes that can be prepared without using this kitchen appliance.

What to do if there is no stove?

What can you cook without a stove that is tasty and quite simple? In fact, there are many options, and all dishes that practically do not require heat treatment can be divided into several groups:

  • Salads from fresh vegetables or fruits. Many products in these categories do not need to be subjected to any heat treatment: they are used in their original form. And the salads turn out light, tasty and fresh.
  • Cold soups. In the summer, such a soup will not only satisfy your hunger, but also eliminate thirst, and will also perfectly refresh you. Such dishes are very popular in hot countries, but in the summer they will definitely come in handy on your table: both everyday and festive.
  • Smoothie. They can be considered not only drinks, but also complete hearty snacks, and sometimes almost independent dishes. Smoothies are prepared by chopping berries, vegetables and fruits. Components can be mixed and matched to create original mixes.
  • Snacks. Today, not a single table is complete without snacks, and they can also be prepared without using a stove, and there are a lot of recipes!
  • Dessert . Yes, yes, sweet delicacies do not always require a stove when preparing them either, which is undoubtedly a good thing.

Delicious food options

Below are successful recipes for a variety of dishes that do not require the use of a stove.

  • a quarter of a lemon;
  • tartlets;

It's so nice to enjoy a refreshing and delicious gazpacho! And it won’t take much effort or time to prepare it, and you definitely won’t need a stove. But you will need the following products:

  • two bell peppers;
  • two medium-sized fresh cucumbers;
  • a third of a glass of olive oil;
  • fresh basil;
  • a few pieces of stale bread;
  • clove of garlic;
  • salt.

Description of the whole process:

  1. Heat the water in the microwave until it almost boils. Pour it over peppers and tomatoes so that you can easily remove the skin from these vegetables.
  2. Peel the cucumbers too, so that their skin does not interfere with enjoying the delicate consistency of the soup.
  3. Now load the tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers into the blender, after cutting all the vegetables into pieces. Grind the components until the consistency of the mass becomes homogeneous and tender. Add oil and beat everything.
  4. Either break the bread or cut it into cubes, rub with a peeled clove of garlic.
  5. Pour your finished gazpacho into plates.
  6. Place bread slices in all portions and garnish the dish with fresh sprigs of basil.

  • 250 g mascarpone cheese;
  • 20 ml heavy cream;
  • 80-100 grams of powdered sugar;
  • chocolate bar;
  • a couple of tablespoons of liqueur (almond or chocolate).

  1. We need to prepare the basis for the future dessert. For these cookies, first either crumble by hand or grind using a blender or coffee grinder. Next, dissolve coffee or cocoa in warm or hot water (you can heat it in the microwave). If the cookies are biscuits and unsweetened, add a little sugar. Pour coffee over the cookies, stir until smooth, add liqueur. Distribute this mixture over the bottom of the springform pan.
  2. Whip well-chilled cream together with powdered sugar to form a strong, non-falling foam.
  3. Carefully fold the mascarpone into the whipped sweet cream so that the composition remains as airy.
  4. Distribute the creamy cheese mixture over the base and place the dessert in the refrigerator to harden for at least an hour or two.

To make pastries, cake or other delicious dessert, you don’t have to use the oven!

1:699

In some cases, its antipode – a refrigerator – is sufficient. We're not just talking about ready-made cakes, ice cream and fruit salads with whipped cream. There are quite a large number of recipes for sweet dishes that do not require baking.

1:1149 1:1154

And we will start our selection with the well-known “Potatoes”. It has been noticed that people who claim that they do not like these cakes, after trying the “potatoes” prepared according to this recipe, change their opinion to the diametrically opposite. True, the cakes of the same name from the store return them to their previous opinion, and “potato neophytes” have to more often visit those who opened their eyes to the true “potato”, or learn to cook their favorite dish on their own.

1:1995

1:4

As practice shows, this is not at all difficult. The main secret of homemade “potatoes” is quality ingredients. Choose for it only those crackers with which you enjoy drinking tea, and the kind of butter with which it is pleasant to make a sandwich.

1:425 1:430

Potato cakes

1:481

2:989 2:994

Ingredients:

2:1022

500-600 g crackers,
400 ml milk,
150-200 g butter,
100 g sugar,
1 tbsp. cocoa,
cinnamon, vanilla, ginger, cognac - to taste.

2:1243 2:1248

Preparation:
In a large saucepan, boil milk with sugar and cocoa, remove from heat, add butter and melt it. Pour the crackers crushed with a meat grinder into the liquid in small portions, stirring constantly. The dough should have the consistency of soft modeling clay. Leave some breadcrumbs for sprinkling the cakes. Add spices and cognac or liqueur to the dough to taste. Leave the dough to cool and soak for 10-15 minutes, then mold it into cakes in the form of balls, sausages, flat cakes, cubes or flying saucers. Roll them in breadcrumbs and refrigerate for several hours, or better yet, overnight.

Chocolate "sausage"

2:55

3:559 3:564

The main difference between “sausage” and “potatoes” is that “potatoes” are made from breadcrumbs and turn out to be quite dry and loose, while for “sausage” cookies or sponge cake and raw eggs are used, which makes it tender, buttery and melting, but more

Grind the biscuit and nuts into coarse crumbs, add to the melted butter and add the beaten eggs. When the mass has cooled, form a sausage, wrap it in baking paper and refrigerate for 10-12 hours. It is recommended to eat the "sausage" on the same day, which is usually not a problem.

Peel the bananas and cut into discs. Whip the cream to stable peaks; if you are making it as a cake, it is better to add a fortifier; if you are making it as a dessert, then you do not need to add the fortifier. I added 1 packet of vanilla sugar to the cream, but if condensed milk is enough sweetness, you don’t have to add it.
Remove the cookie sheet from the refrigerator. Place boiled condensed milk on the cookies, place banana washers on top and then whipped cream.

Live life to the fullest and bon appetit!

If there is no kitchen in the house, then the culinary life in it is doomed? Not really. There would be a desire to cook and eat home-cooked food, but there would be opportunities. Moreover, there are plenty of opportunities in our time, when all the stores are filled with kitchen appliances. Some devices will help you eat fully and healthy for quite a long time, and some will only last for a few days, but you will not be left without hot and tasty food.

Of course, you won’t be able to prepare a dinner party for 12 people with any appliance: an ordinary frying pan, a knife and a hotplate are indispensable here. But you will be able to eat quite tasty and varied food.

Multicooker

One of the most multifunctional kitchen devices, and its capabilities are only expanding. Multicookers based on rice cookers have emerged, so one of their main purposes is to cook porridge efficiently. This is why many people buy them. But this is a truncated approach. A multicooker can provide a complete meal, and it can be made for one person or for a family of 4-5-6 people.

The multicooker ensures constant cooking temperature and uniform heating. She fries and bakes, stews, works as a bread machine, steams, boils, makes milk porridges, prepares pilaf, yogurts, jellied meats, bakes muffins, and heats up food. There are multicookers, pressure cookers, which, among other things, cook under pressure and quite quickly.

Air fryer

This is a convection oven, the functionality of which is quite large. The food is processed with hot air, it turns out healthier than in a frying pan, without a lot of oil, the food does not dry out, and it turns out quite juicy.

The air grill can fry and bake, make kebabs, prepare croissants and pies, dry vegetables and fruits, boil, and reheat. Just like in an oven, pots of meat can be cooked and pizza can be baked. You just need heat-resistant dishes.

Microwave

Microwaves are multifunctional devices that are usually used only for heating food. And this is a big mistake. In the microwave you can make scrambled eggs, boil eggs for breakfast, make porridge, bake muffins, make popcorn.

Microwave ovens often come with convection and grill; the first function turns the oven into a full-fledged oven, and the second one adds flavor to baked meat and fish. By the way, you need to cook fried meat or chicken with their help. The microwave mode does not handle these foods very well. But with vegetables and cereals, microwave cooking time is reduced. So cooking in the microwave is often more convenient and faster than in the oven. You just need to carefully study the recipes for microwave ovens, since their cooking methods and times are very different.

Double boiler

The functionality of the device is limited to steam cooking. But in most steamers you can cook several different foods at once. All compartments are sealed, and odors do not flow from one compartment to another. In combination with a knife, cutting board and blender, a steamer will give you excellent healthy dishes: salads, light side dishes, fish and meat with various sauces, even pureed soups.

Roaster

He can do more than just make hot sandwiches. A roaster is a very small oven where you can bake fish, fry chicken and potatoes, and brown croutons. Of course, you won’t be able to cook a big lunch, but it’s quite possible to come up with something for dinner or breakfast for one or two people.

Mini oven

The same oven, only slightly smaller. Its functionality is appropriate: pies and cakes, casseroles, meat and fish, and so on. Everything that a regular oven can do.

Soup maker

Designed for preparing liquid hot dishes. Works great with pureed soups. However, ordinary soups also turn out quite well in it. Some soup makers can even make yogurt. In principle, the technology of this device is simple: at the bottom there is a rotating knife - a blender, which can be turned on or not. There is also a heating element and a timer. That is, a soup maker can cook and simmer something for a long time, maintaining the temperature.

Portable hob

Small hobs are bought mainly for summer cottages. They can be electric or gas. For the latter, it is not difficult to guess, gas is needed. Portable stoves are most often two-burner, but single-burner ones are also available. They can do everything that a frying pan and a saucepan put on fire can do.

Dryer

An indispensable device for raw foodists, but it can also be useful for ordinary people. Dries everything: vegetables, fruits, nuts. The dryer does this at a low temperature (that’s why raw foodists love it) and for quite a long time. But if there are no other options, then you can stock up on a book of recipes for raw foodists and live well for a week or two, until the thirst for fried and baked foods drives you to the store for more functional equipment.

Thermos

If things are really bad and the only equipment available is an electric kettle, then get a couple of thermoses. And you will receive a hot lunch. For example, you can brew porridge in a thermos (buckwheat will definitely swell and become edible if you leave it for a couple of hours). In a thermos you can make yogurt, sour cream, brew rice noodles or even very small noodles.

The batter for the pie is kneaded with water, sour cream or milk. Sifted flour, baking powder, eggs, and butter are placed in it.
