  • wheat flour - 100 g;
  • butter - 100 g;
  • chicken egg - 1 pc.;
  • vanillin - 1 sachet;
  • baking powder - ½ tsp;
  • black tea - 1 tsp. for 125 ml.

Cooking time: about 2 hours.

The most delicate apple pudding with hints of caramel flavor is definitely a magical treat that will definitely make you addicted! An authentic pudding prepared according to this recipe is served in one of the most famous organic English pubs. How to make apple pudding at home

First you need to brew fairly strong tea.

While the tea is brewing, wash and dry the apples, then peel, core, and cut into small slices. Sweet and sour apples are best for this recipe. “Antonovka” is ideal: in addition to its contrasting taste, it has an amazing, special aroma.

Place apple slices in a metal bowl (pan), add baking soda and pour tea into them, put on low heat.

Bring the contents of the dish to a boil and simmer until the apples are soft for about 10 minutes. When boiling, the mass will bubble strongly, this is a normal reaction: malic acid quenches the baking soda.

When the apples become soft and turn into a mass, remove the dishes from the heat and add butter, egg, flour and sugar, as well as baking powder and vanillin to the apple mass.

Beat everything with an immersion blender into a homogeneous mass.

Pour the resulting mass into a mold greased with butter or lined with baking paper.

Bake in an oven preheated to 170-180 degrees for about an hour. The surface of the finished pudding should be golden brown and uniform.

For kids, apple pudding will be one of the first delicacies, because they will become acquainted with muffins, cakes and various flour pastries later. And for moms and dads, this dessert is a wonderful dish for a romantic dinner.

Apple pudding with semolina does not contain flour or fat, but contains semolina and eggs, so the dessert turns out to be dietary and satisfying at the same time.

Apple pudding tastes interesting, most of all it looks like... an omelette with an apple, if you can imagine that (although we made apple croutons!). But it’s better to try than imagine! You will see, you and your children will like it. I made a test portion of 1 piece for each of the four household members, and the pudding was eaten while still warm. So the next day I repeated the recipe, but this time I made a double portion - and the tender “apple muffins” flew away overnight.


Ingredients:

For 4 things:

  • 3-4 small apples;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 3-4 teaspoons sugar;
  • 4 heaping teaspoons of semolina;
  • 3-4 tablespoons of sour cream.

Instructions:


The original recipe from the magazine “Your Baby” gives the proportion for 1 person. For 1 apple it is suggested to take 1 tsp. sugar and semolina, 1 tbsp. sour cream and 1 egg. I increased the amount of food and slightly reduced the amount of eggs and sugar.


If you have metal or ceramic molds, you will need butter for greasing and breadcrumbs for sprinkling. If the molds are silicone, just apply them. Only if the silicone mold is used for the first time, it needs to be greased with vegetable oil.


Wash the apples, cut them into quarters, remove cores and peels and grate them on a coarse grater.




Add semolina, sugar, sour cream to the grated apples and mix.





Beat the eggs with a mixer in a separate bowl and add to the apple mixture, mix.

Wash the apples, remove peels and seeds and grate on a coarse grater. Simmer over low heat, adding sugar.

Grease the pudding mold with butter, sprinkle the bottom with breadcrumbs and lay out half of the porridge. Place the stewed apples and the rest of the porridge on them. Flatten, grease the top with oil and place in the oven. Bake until a pink crust forms.

As you know, puddings are served both cold and warm. We will consider both options. Regarding additional ingredients, this selection will include puddings for children with various fruits, as well as rice and cottage cheese.

Ingredients:

  • half a liter of milk;
  • two spoons of sugar;
  • one egg;
  • two and a half tablespoons of starch;
  • vanilla to taste.

Step-by-step pudding recipe for children

Pour two glasses of fresh milk into a saucepan. Place on low heat.

While it is boiling, pour the remaining milk into a mug. Add potato starch (finely). Stir constantly to dissolve any lumps.

Having achieved a homogeneous consistency, pour into a saucepan where the milk is slowly bubbling.

Continue mixing. Within five (approximately) minutes, thicken the aromatic mass without raising the temperature.

Although we cook both eggs and milk, try to use fresh ingredients only. The health of the children is most important! As for vanilla. If you are afraid that the dessert will turn out to be bitter, take it not in its pure form, but together with sugar.

Option 2: Quick pudding recipe for kids

Cold puddings cook very quickly. However, they need time to harden. Don't you have it? Then let's bake the baby pudding directly in a ceramic fireproof cup.

Ingredients:

  • fresh large egg;
  • a glass of medium-fat milk;
  • a tablespoon of sugar;
  • a bag of vanilla sugar;
  • a tablespoon of wheat flour;
  • a piece of butter.

How to make quick pudding for kids

Break a large egg into a tall container. Add plain and vanilla sugar. Whisk quickly until fluffy.

Then gradually pour in cold milk and sift through the flour. Using the same mixer, bring the mixture to a thick viscous state.

Grease a fireproof cup with a small piece of butter. Immediately pour into the flowing dough.

Place the cup of baby pudding in a hot oven, where at 195 degrees bake the dessert for 25 minutes.

Serve immediately, topped with sour cream dressing or honey. As the pudding cools, it will sag a little, which is quite normal. That is why it is served immediately.

Since, as stated above, baked goods are given to babies while they are hot, make sure that they do not get burned. To do this, feed your favorite child yourself, this time entrusting him with your favorite drink.

Option 3: Berry pudding for children

Small berries, like blueberries or currants, are incredibly healthy. Therefore, such a dessert must be present in your baby’s diet. Moreover, they turn out exceptionally tasty.

Ingredients:

  • half a glass of small berries;
  • two glasses of milk;
  • large egg;
  • two to three tablespoons of sugar;
  • two or three tablespoons of starch.

How to cook

Pour one and a half glasses of milk into a saucepan. Warm up over medium heat. At the same time, combine starch and sugar in the remaining milk.

Once smooth, beat in the egg and stir in the dressing. Carefully pour the mixture into the gently bubbling milk.

Without stopping the process of kneading the viscous dough, bring it to thicken. Turn off the stove. Quickly wash small berries (without seeds!) in a sieve and place in a saucepan, blotted with napkins.

Mix with a spatula one last time. Pour the delicate mixture with berries into silicone molds.

Rearrange the pudding on the refrigerator shelf, trying not to spill it along the way, like in kindergarten. After a couple of hours, the dessert will be ready to serve.

Which berries to use is up to you. The main thing is that there are no seeds inside. At the same time, take into account the characteristics of your baby specifically, because perhaps he cannot tolerate some specific foods. Also remember, some berries cause active stomach activity, so introduce them into the diet little by little and watch the child’s body’s reaction.

Option 4: Pudding for a 1 year old child with cottage cheese and banana

Having reached the age of one year, children already accept many “adult” products well. For example, cottage cheese and ripe banana. It is with them that we will make the next dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 110 grams of cottage cheese;
  • a teaspoon of flour;
  • half a banana;
  • 7 grams of butter;
  • half a teaspoon of sugar;
  • medium egg.

Step by step recipe

Place a wide pan of water over high heat. While it is boiling, grind the cottage cheese through a sieve.

Separately, whisk a medium egg with sugar. The final structure is fluffy with medium bubbles.

Combine cottage cheese with the sweet egg mixture. Add sifted flour. If gluten is not used, replace it with potato starch.

Finally add soft butter. Mix the viscous mass. Add banana, which is important to mash with a fork.

Fold the gauze in three layers. Move the curd-banana mixture to the middle. Tie a knot.

Place it in a pan of boiling water. Secure the top part, for example, by tying it to a handle.

Cook pudding for a 1 year old child for a third of an hour. Then take out the gauze, untie it and place the dessert on a plate.

The method of preparing this option is somewhat unusual. But such a pudding will be perfectly accepted by the child’s body. Which is important, especially if there are some problems with the digestive system.

Option 5: Steamed rice pudding with apple for children

Chopped boiled rice together with starch will perfectly “hold” the shape of the dessert. Therefore, we decided to include these ingredients in the steamed pudding recipe.

Ingredients:

  • a third of a glass of white rice;
  • two glasses of milk;
  • water for cooking rice;
  • large apple;
  • egg;
  • spoon of sugar;
  • spoon of starch.

How to cook

Boil the washed rice grains in a large volume of water. While this is happening, beat the egg and sugar.

Quickly drain the water from the finished rice and grind the soft grains with an immersion blender.

Transfer the rice mixture into a bowl with the egg-milk mixture. Add a spoonful of starch. Mix with a spatula.

Place the dough in a steaming container lined with parchment. Place in the car or on a pan of boiling water.

Cook baby pudding for 20-25 minutes. Before serving, cool and top with any sweet dressing (honey, condensed milk or jam).

If you have special containers for such viscous dough, you will not need to cover it with baking paper. However, for the usual version, this must be done so that the future pudding does not leak into boiling water.

Option 6: Carrot pudding for children with sour cream

This last pudding option is also perfect for very young children. The only advice is to take low-fat sour cream so that the dessert does not turn out to be “heavy” for your baby’s fragile food system.

Ingredients:

  • large (170 grams) carrots;
  • two spoons of sour cream;
  • chicken egg);
  • 11 grams of sugar;
  • 9 grams of wheat flour;
  • a packet of vanilla sugar.

Step by step recipe

Mix vanilla sugar with simple sugar. Break a chicken egg. Whisk the ingredients.

Add sour cream. Continuing active mixing, sift the flour. Once the lumps have disappeared, set aside for a while.

Quickly remove the skin from large carrots. Wash with a sponge. Grate on the finest side of the grater.

Throw the shavings into the viscous dough. Mix carefully (preferably with a silicone spatula).

Pour the mixture into baking molds (as in the case of a spatula, it is recommended to use silicone ones). Place in the oven.

Bake pudding for a 1 year old child for no more than a third of an hour. Turn off the stove. Place the molds on plates. Drizzle with sour cream. Serve warm.

It is permissible to grate the carrots before starting the process. But to prevent it from drying out, we recommend covering the bowl with the vegetable with cling film. As for the carrots themselves, choose juicy root vegetables, preferably young ones. Old rotten carrots will not provide juice, taste, or nutrients that are so important for a child’s diet.

Chop or finely chop the peeled apple and simmer with 2 teaspoons of sugar over low heat, adding a little water.
