New Year is a holiday for which only the best and most delicious things are prepared, the most exquisite delicacies are bought, noble alcohol is purchased... It is not for nothing that the belief has taken root among the people - how you celebrate the New Year is how you will spend it! Therefore, non-alcoholic New Year's drinks should not only be tasty, but also natural.

It’s very easy to prepare natural New Year’s drinks, because they can be all kinds of fruit drinks, compotes and homemade lemonade. Non-alcoholic New Year's drinks are prepared quickly and simply, from a minimum of ingredients.

Ice can be used to cool soft drinks. To keep the ice crystals completely transparent, freeze boiled water. You can put a berry in each ice mold or even make ice from natural juice. Both tasty and beautiful. Or you can simply put them on the balcony or outside if you live in a private house. The main thing is not to forget them there, in the cold.

It’s not enough to prepare delicious and beautiful New Year’s drinks, it’s also important how to serve them. Be sure to decorate the jugs and bottles that will be on the New Year's table. There is nothing complicated about this; this task can be entrusted to children: you can glue glitter in the form of snowflakes to the walls of the vessel or apply an elegant design with gold or silver paint (they can then be washed off without any problems). You can tie tinsel or shiny ribbons around the neck of the bottle. Everything should shine on New Year's Eve!

Hot New Year's drinks

On a frosty winter night, it’s so nice to warm up with a hot and tasty drink. Traditional hot New Year's non-alcoholic drinks will delight your guests:

  • mulled wine;
  • grog;
  • punch;
  • glögg.

Mulled wine

Even from the name it is clear that this drink is made from wine. To prepare traditional mulled wine you need good red wine, sugar and spices. We will present several recipes, using which you can get a tasty, but not intoxicating drink.

The exact homeland of mulled wine is unknown, but historians know that they tried to make similar mixtures back in Ancient Rome. Only they were not heated there. The idea to heat up the intoxicating drink came to someone in Northern Europe. At the moment, this drink is considered theirs in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic. The Russians also fell in love with him.

The first thing that comes to mind is to replace wine with grape juice. So, the recipe for grape mulled wine. You will need:

  • 1 liter of grape juice;
  • cinnamon stick (you can take half a teaspoon of ground);
  • 5 clove inflorescences;
  • a little ground cardamom;
  • half a root of ginger (you can take dry);
  • a little nutmeg.

All ingredients must be mixed and heated without boiling. You should be careful with nutmeg; it must be added literally at the tip of a knife, otherwise it will add unnecessary bitterness to the drink. With ginger, everything is individual, but you shouldn’t overdo it either.

The above recipe can be varied with various fruit additives. Traditionally, apple peels, lemon and orange zest are added to mulled wine.

Instead of grape juice, you can use apple juice. In this case, you should add half a glass of clean water to the container with mulled wine. In addition to the listed ingredients, you can add a little honey to the drink. In general, everything is in your hands; the preparation of this drink is limited only by your imagination and taste preferences.
