The composition of the recipe necessarily includes semolina, which is why the name "mannik" appeared. As well as flour, butter, sugar and any dairy or sour-milk product, sometimes cottage cheese. There are many manna recipes that claim to be the most classic, only some are mixed with sour milk, others with kefir, and others with sour cream. Therefore, these ingredients can be combined into one definition - fermented milk products, and you yourself choose which one is closer to you. The rest of the composition is the same - semolina, flour, sugar, butter.

Ingredients: 1 tbsp. semolina, sugar and dairy products, 3 eggs, soda - 1 tsp., 100 g butter, 1.5 stack. flour.

Cooking method

Stir semolina with any fermented milk product of your choice and leave for an hour.

1) Step one.

2) Step two.
Pour 1 cup of sugar into the pan and beat with a blender. For the preparation of manna, it is best to use not sugar, but powdered sugar - then it will dissolve faster, and the manna dough will turn out much more magnificent.

A little advice : when pouring various bulk products into a liquid, when the blender is turned on, sand or flour, or cereals may begin to crumble to the sides. To prevent this from happening, you simply move the blender over the mixture in the pan for the first few times, thereby letting the bulk product get wet. Then it will not crumble, and you can easily start stirring with the already included blender.

3) Step three.
Pour 1 cup of sour cream into the pan and also beat everything with a blender. If the sour cream is store-bought and low-fat, then in addition to it, you can add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil or butter to the dough. Then after baking the mannik will turn out saturated and not dry.

Advice : if you want to make chocolate mannik, then you can add 2 teaspoons of cocoa to sour cream.

4) Step four.
Pour 1 cup of semolina into the pan and beat with a blender.

5) Step five.
Pour 1 cup of flour into the pan and beat everything with a blender. The finished dough should have the consistency of thick sour cream (as in the picture below).

6) Step six.
On the surface of the dough, pour 1 teaspoon of soda in a slide, pour half a teaspoon of vinegar on top of it (we extinguish the soda). Then mix all the dough thoroughly.

7) Step seven.
We take a form for baking manna or a cake, or simply a frying pan. Lubricate the form or pan with vegetable oil and be sure to sprinkle lightly with semolina (as in the photo below).

This is done so that the finished mannik does not stick strongly to the mold, and separates well from it. Do not forget to do this, otherwise you will tear off the finished mannik with the root from the form.

Pour the dough into the mold.

Here, you can also add pieces of fruit or dried fruits to the dough for manna: apples, raisins, dried apricots, bananas, berries (Victoria, etc.). This is no longer a classic recipe, but it’s even much tastier this way - fruits or berries give their own special aroma and taste.

8) Step eight.
We put the form with the dough in the oven. Baking is done at a temperature of 180 degrees for 20 minutes.

We got such a delicious mannik, and I added a few Victoria berries to the recipe at the end. I just cut them into plastics and inserted them into the dough after 5 minutes of baking in the oven.

Put sour cream, sugar, semolina into a sufficiently deep bowl and stir for a long time with a whisk - the grains of sugar should completely disperse. We leave the sweet mass on the table under the lid so that the cake comes out magnificent, let the semolina swell enough.

While the dough is ripening, prepare the apples. The apple peel will ruin the pie, so slice it thinly from the fruit. Cut in half, remove the cores and rub the pulp on a medium grater. Putting it in a bowl, set aside the fruit mass for ten minutes to the side.

Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl. Pour into the semolina base, stir with a whisk until smooth. Stir in apples drained from juice, vanilla and ripper powder.

We process the walls and bottom of the form with melted margarine. For reliability, sprinkle with semolina or breadcrumbs. After filling with dough, place the form for forty minutes in a preheated oven.

Mixing semolina with sour cream, set aside for a quarter of an hour, right on the table.

While the cereal absorbs moisture, melt the butter in a saucepan and cool to room temperature.

After beating the eggs with sugar, stir in the swollen semolina, cooled butter and flour.

In a small bowl, pour baking soda with vinegar. As soon as it begins to sizzle and foam intensively, pour into the semolina dough and stir well, you can even beat slightly.

After rubbing the form with oil, lightly dust it with flour. Shake the rest over the sink. Pour the dough into the mold and lightly tap it on the table.

In a preheated oven, bake mannik for forty minutes. Cool the cake well, right in the form, without taking it out.

We wash the berries, dry them. If you use frozen, it is better to take those that do not lose their shape after defrosting. The berries should be thawed at air temperature in a colander.

Having freed from the mold, lay the mannik on a flat surface and cut off the top with a sharpened knife. We select a part of the crumb - we leave the walls and the bottom, one and a half centimeters thick.

Mix sour cream, powder and vanilla in a bowl and beat with a mixer until fluffy.

We leave a few berries for decoration, spread the rest to the sour cream and add the crumb of the pie cut into cubes here, mix.

Tamping tightly, spread the berry-cream mixture into the cavity of the pie in a slide. Lay the previously set aside berries on top and sprinkle with powder.

Dissolve the butter and cool slightly. Pour into the semolina mixture. Add baking powder and flour to this. Season with vanilla and mix well.
