1/2 cup olive oil;

120 g butter at room temperature;

1/4 cup liquid from pears;

1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries;

3 spiced pears, cut into pieces.

For the spiced pears:

3 medium pears;

4 glasses of water;

1 cup brown sugar;

1 cinnamon stick.

For cream:

150 grams of softened butter;

450 grams of cold cream cheese (such as Hochland or Almette);

5 tbsp. powdered sugar;

Zest of one lemon.

First prepare the spiced pears.

Bring water with sugar and cinnamon to a boil, peel the pears and place in water.

Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until the pears are slightly soft. Remove and cool.

While the pears are cooling, begin preparing the naked cake layers.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Prepare three pans by lining the bottom with circles of parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients (flour, spices and baking powder).

In another bowl, beat two types of butter and both types of sugar until fluffy and white, about 5 minutes.

Add eggs one at a time.
