It can be simple with just sauce, cheese and tomatoes, but sometimes pizza can have many different ingredients, several types of meat and sauces with lots of vegetables. The article presents various options for ingredients for pizza toppings, as well as basic recipes for preparing the entire dish.

Dough for the base

Before you start preparing the filling, sauces, etc., you need to learn how to make tasty and proper dough. To do this you need to take:

  • 350 g flour;
  • 230 ml water;
  • a little salt and sugar;
  • 1/3 pack of dry yeast;
  • 30 ml olive or vegetable oil.

These ingredients are the main component of any dough, but additional products can also be added. For example, dried basil will add an unusual aroma. It would also be a good idea to use Italian or Provençal herbs.

How to make the dough?

When all the ingredients are prepared, you can proceed directly to preparing the base. Take a deep bowl where you need to pour water, add salt, sugar and yeast. If you are going to add additional ingredients, now is the time. Place the sifted flour on top and begin the process of kneading the dough.

Note! Depending on storage conditions, flour may have high humidity. In this case, the dough may turn out to be too liquid, so you need to be prepared to add more of this product.

Knead the dough long enough to make it soft and elastic. It should not stick to your hands. After kneading, place it in a bowl, cover with a clean towel and set aside. Now you can start preparing the filling.

Classic version

Almost everyone has tried Margherita pizza. The ingredients for it are extremely simple and understandable to every person. To prepare one pizza with a diameter of about 30 cm you need to take:

  • 2 medium tomatoes;
  • 150 mozzarella cheese;
  • fresh basil.

The prepared sauce is poured onto the rolled out base (you can find out how to prepare it below), then the tomato is cut into slices and the cheese is grated. In this form, the pizza should be baked until done. After the time has passed, remove the dish from the oven, grease the edges with olive oil and add 5-6 leaves of fresh basil.

Ingredients for homemade pizza

Unlike the previous version, a large number of different products will already be used here. This pizza turns out very filling and tasty. Unlike the original version, the home version allows the use of thicker dough. Therefore, you should use more different products and sauces.

Ingredients for pizza with sausage and cheese:

  • 200 g champignons;
  • 200 g sausage;
  • 50 g olives;
  • hard cheese – 250 g;
  • 150 g tomato;
  • canned corn – 100 g (not a mandatory ingredient, so you can safely replace it with another product or simply not add it);
  • mayonnaise - 100 g;
  • pizza sauce – 150 g.

Cooking process

So, when the dough is ready and all the ingredients are on the table, you can start cooking. Follow the step by step instructions:

  1. Roll out the dough onto a whole baking sheet. If you like the classic version, then the thickness of the base should be no more than 0.5 cm. But when you want to make a truly homemade pizza, then roll out the dough to a thickness of 1-1.5 cm.
  2. Place the base on a baking sheet, put the required amount of sauce and mayonnaise on it.
  3. Rinse the mushrooms under running cold water, cut into thin slices, chop the sausage, and grate the cheese.
  4. The olives can be left whole or cut in half. Cut the tomatoes into slices. Open a can of corn.
  5. Pour tomatoes, mushrooms, olives, sausage and corn onto the base. Cover everything generously with hard cheese.
  6. Preheat the oven to maximum temperature and place a baking tray. After 15-20 minutes, the dish will be completely ready to eat.

Pineapple filling

This version of the dish is perfect for anyone who loves the combination of tender, boiled chicken with pineapples. You need the following ingredients for pizza at home:

  • 50 g canned pineapples;
  • 100 g chicken fillet;
  • 100 g pizza sauce;
  • 50 g fresh tomatoes;
  • several champignons;
  • 100 g hard cheese or mozzarella.

How to cook?

The first step is to boil the chicken fillet. When the meat is ready, you need to cool it a little and tear it along the fibers into thin pieces. Cut the tomatoes into slices and mushrooms into slices. If desired, you can add a small amount of onion.

Roll out the dough thinly and place it on a round pan. Spread the sauce, put tomatoes and mushrooms on top, then lay the chicken and sprinkle with grated hard cheese. The last ingredient on the pizza is pineapples, after which the semi-finished product should be placed in a well-heated oven for 10 minutes.

Recommended to know! Classic pizza is cooked in an oven at a temperature of 300-350 degrees, so the oven should always be set to the highest power. Only in this case can you get as close as possible to the original.

After the allotted time, the pizza can be removed from the oven and sprinkled with a small amount of olive oil. If desired, add a small amount of chopped herbs.

Tomato sauce for pizza

This sauce is considered a classic and is most often used in various cooking options. To make it, you need to acquire the following products:

  • 600 g tomato (you can use any quality product; in any case, the sauce is pureed in a blender);
  • dried basil;
  • several cloves of garlic;
  • sugar;
  • salt;
  • one onion;
  • Bay leaf.

Preparing the sauce

The onion should be peeled and washed in cold water, cut into small cubes, and fried in a frying pan with the addition of olive or vegetable oil. In the meantime, you need to blanch the tomatoes. To do this, take a small saucepan, fill it with water and bring to a boil. Make a cross-shaped cut on the bottom of each vegetable. Dip the tomato in boiling water for 15 seconds, then immediately place it in ice water. Now you can simply remove the skin by hand.


Cut the tomatoes into several parts, place in a saucepan with a thick bottom, pour in about 100 ml of water, add the necessary spices, garlic and salt. Then put the fried onions into the bowl and simmer everything for 10 minutes. Using a blender, grind all ingredients until smooth. Bring the sauce to taste, this will complete the cooking process.

White pizza sauce

This type is often used in Four Cheese Pizza or various other variations. You can also mix the sauce with red and get a very unusual taste. To prepare it you will need to take:

  • 200 g mayonnaise;
  • 200 g cream;
  • several cloves of garlic;
  • 100 ml dry white wine;
  • sugar, salt.

This is a standard set of products. If desired, you can add oregano, marjoram or basil. Aromatic herbs go very well with this dish, so it is recommended to add them almost always.

Cooking method

The garlic must be peeled and grated on a fine grater. Take a saucepan or deep frying pan and pour in the required amount of wine, add a teaspoon of sugar, and put on fire. The ingredient should simmer for several minutes over medium heat until the alcohol evaporates. Now add cream and mayonnaise to the wine and mix thoroughly. Add garlic, salt and all herbs to the rest of the products, mix the mixture again. Cook for 3 minutes over low heat, then set aside to cool.

Pizza with balyk and mozzarella

A very interesting type of pizza, its taste is very delicate and unobtrusive. An ideal dish for lovers of simple but delicious food. You need to take the following ingredients for pizza at home:

  • pizza dough - 150-200 g;
  • a small amount of balyk - about 100 g;
  • 150 g cheese;
  • bell pepper - ½ pc. (if possible, it is recommended to take vegetables of different colors, then the dish will be more attractive in appearance);
  • white pizza sauce – 100 g;
  • one large tomato.

If you like a large amount of meat products, then you can also add a little more raw smoked sausage here.

Product preparation and heat treatment

Cooking absolutely any dish begins with preparing the main ingredients. In this case, you should take the balyk and cut it into thin but long pieces. It is best to do this using a special vegetable cutter; if you don’t have one at home, you can cut the product into regular strips and the tomatoes into slices.


Grate the cheese and finely chop the pepper. Now you need to take a baking dish and grease it with vegetable oil. Roll out the dough and place it on it. Pour the required amount of white sauce onto the base and spread it evenly over the surface of the dough with a tablespoon.

  • 150 g of dough (if the pizza is prepared on a baking sheet, then you will need twice as much of all the ingredients);
  • 150 g of ordinary Russian cheese;
  • 100 g parmesan;
  • 100 g mozzarella;
  • 70 g blue or green mold cheese;
  • white pizza sauce.

In this case, you definitely need to use some herbs, for example, Italian or Provençal. It will also not be superfluous to use marjoram, thyme, rosemary, oregano and other aromatic spices.

All of the above ingredients are for a large, whole-sheet homemade pizza. The first step is to take the dough and roll it out to a thickness of 0.5 to 1.5 cm (it all depends on how thin you like the dough). Place on a baking sheet, grease with ketchup and mayonnaise.

All main products should be finely chopped, except tomatoes, they should be cut into slices. Place hunting sausages, thinly sliced ​​onions, and mushrooms on the prepared base. If you don’t have time to prepare quite complex sauces, but also don’t want to use banal ketchup or mayonnaise, then you should pay attention to this recipe. To prepare, you will need to take 150 g of tomato paste and put it in a saucepan. Pour 200 ml of water, add a tablespoon of sugar and put on medium heat.

When the mixture boils, reduce the heat to low, add a small amount of salt and dried Italian herbs. Be sure to taste and adjust to taste, most likely you will need to add a little more sugar. Warm the sauce for a few minutes and it can be removed from the heat. When it cools down, this mixture can be used to make pizza. The advantage of this sauce is that it will take no more than 10 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients:

For the test:

  • Flour - 600 g.
  • Water - 300 ml. 30-35°
  • Yeast - 30 g fresh or 10 g dry
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • Salt - 1 tsp.
  • Olive oil - 4 tbsp.
For filling:

  • It is better to take thicker tomato juice
  • Oregano
  • Salami sausage
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Champignon
  • Olive oil

Pizza in the oven preparation:

1. Pour 100 ml. warm water in a small cup and add yeast to the water, add a spoonful of sugar. Mix everything.

2. Pour pre-sifted flour into a deep cup. Make a depression in the center of the mound of flour. Pour the diluted yeast into this well.

3. Little by little add flour to this yeast and stir; add very little flour, just so that it mixes with the yeast in the well where we poured the yeast. Set the flour aside for a moment.

4. Pour salt and 4 tablespoons of olive oil, or any odorless vegetable oil, into the remaining water.

5. Pour water and oil into the dough and now begin to knead the dough. First, mix with a spoon, and when the water is absorbed, begin to knead with your hands.

6. When all the water has been completely absorbed, dump the dough onto the prepared table. We continue to knead. All the flour should be incorporated into the dough, the dough will become elastic and smooth. In general, it already looks like dough. From this point on, the dough must be kneaded for at least 7-10 minutes.

7. Our dough is kneaded. It turned out to be dense, elastic and does not stick to your hands. Place the dough in a cup, cover with film and place in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours.

8. Time has passed, open the dough. Look how it rose. It probably doubled in size.

Preparing the pizza filling

9. Prepare the filling. The filling is an individual matter, as you understand. You can take whatever you want. But still, there are moments in making pizza that should not be neglected.

10. Turn on the oven to maximum heat. In electric ovens this is usually 250°-300°.

11. Divide the dough into 3-4 parts, it depends on what shape you have, roll out the flatbread according to the diameter of the shape. Grease the mold with vegetable oil and sprinkle with a little flour.

12. Place our flatbread on the mold and pour a little vegetable oil on top and spread it over the entire surface with a brush.

13. Pour some tomato juice and also distribute it over the entire surface. Sprinkle with oregano seasoning and salt.

14. Place salami sausage, pre-cut into thin slices, on top.

15. Then lay out thinly sliced ​​champignons. Don’t try to put in as much filling as possible; the dough should show through somewhere.

16. Place our cheese on top, maybe cut into fairly large pieces. Well, that’s all, the pizza assembly is finished, now all that’s left is to bake.

Baking pizza in the oven

17. Our oven has warmed up to 250°. We will place pizza on the top level. If we had a gas oven, then we should place it in the middle. Of course, if possible, it is best to bake pizza at a temperature of 300°-320°-350°.

18. Place the pizza in the oven for 8-10 minutes. Be sure to watch the test. Once it is browned and the cheese is melted, the pizza is ready. It is difficult to pinpoint the exact time. Everyone has their own baking conditions.

3. If the dough turns out runny, add a little more flour. Knead the dough for a couple more minutes.

4. Round the dough a little, cover the cup with film and leave at room temperature for 1 hour.

5. Place the tomato sauce in a small deep cup, add a third of a teaspoon of basil and a third of a teaspoon of oregano. Mix everything thoroughly.

6. Place the baking sheet in the oven and preheat to 250°.

7. The dough has risen. Sprinkle the work surface with flour.

8. Stretch the cake with your hands to a diameter of 30 cm.

We continue to stretch the cake.

9. In order to transfer the cake, roll it onto a rolling pin.

  • Yeast - 1 sachet
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp.
  • Flour - 2 cups
  • Vegetable oil
For the sauce:

Preparation:

1. Dissolve a packet of yeast in 50 grams of warm water, approximately 30°-35°. Use yeast based on the recommendations on the yeast packet.

If there is more yeast, the dough can always be kneaded to its normal state, but if the dough has not risen, then it has not risen, nothing can be done.

Stir, trying to break up any lumps. Add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar to the yeast and stir a little so that the yeast actively starts working.

2. Pour 2 cups of flour and half a teaspoon of salt into a deep cup. Gradually pour in the yeast that we dissolved in warm water and immediately begin stirring. We poured in about 1/3 of the yeast and stir until it is absorbed, pour in the next 1/3, etc.

3. Our dough should be thick enough. It may seem very thick to you at first, but don’t worry, the yeast will start working and it will become much softer.

As you understand, it is difficult to guess the proportions down to the gram; everywhere has its own flour, so see for yourself. You can always add water if the dough seems too thick, or vice versa flour.

4. As soon as the dough comes together a little, sprinkle the table with flour and dump the dough there.

5. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes, you should get a neat piece of dough without any inclusions or cracks.

6. Pour vegetable oil into a container and roll the dough in it on all sides. Place the dough in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours.

7. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Finely chop the onion.

8. Chop the garlic very finely.

9. Fry the onion and garlic in a small amount of vegetable oil for a couple of minutes.

11. After a couple of minutes, add water. We dilute the paste until it is slightly thinner than ketchup. Stirring, let it sit until the water evaporates so that the sauce becomes like ketchup.

Add a couple of bay leaves and be sure to add basil, fresh if you have it. Be sure to add a tablespoon of sugar, or a little more, to taste. The sauce should not be sour.

Add salt and freshly ground pepper, add all this to taste. Everything should boil, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes so that all the flavors mix.

12. Cut the dough into 2 parts. We will make thin pizza.

13. Of course, it is best to stretch the dough with your hands rather than roll it out with a rolling pin, because the rolling pin squeezes a lot of air out of the cake. But these are subtleties; you can roll them out with a rolling pin. Consider the size of your baking pan.

14. You can pour a little oil on the mold or baking sheet, you can sprinkle it with flour and the simplest thing is to line it with parchment paper. Today there was no paper at hand. Sprinkle a baking sheet with flour, place our flatbread there and straighten it a little.

15. Cut the mozzarella cheese into large slices, and then crumble it into fairly small pieces. This cheese makes the filling sticky.

16. Grate Parmesan on a coarse grater. You can take it even a little less than mozzarella. This cheese adds flavor. You can use any other hard cheese if you don't have Parmesan. Yes, and it's quite expensive.

17. Cut the smoked sausage into thin slices. Do not use soy sausage or any cheap sausage, this will ruin the taste of the pizza.

18. Cut the cherry tomatoes into 2-3 parts.

19. In an oven preheated to the highest temperature, of course, if you don’t have a super culinary miracle, place a baking sheet with a flatbread for 2-3 minutes so that the dough sticks a little. Of course, if you have a modern, powerful oven, you can immediately bake the flatbread along with the filling.

20. Grease the flatbread with our delicious sauce.

21. Place chopped sausage on the sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

22. Place mozzarella cheese and tomato slices on top. Sprinkle with olive oil.

23. That’s it, put the pizza in the oven until the crusts are golden brown. This should take a little time, from 5 to 15 minutes. It all depends on the oven. Keep an eye on the dough and the cheese, it should melt.

After this, place the dough on a table sprinkled with flour and knead for 4-5 minutes. After this, put the dough in the container again, cover with a towel and wait for half an hour. The dough should rise by 2 times.

After this, place the risen dough on a flour surface and press it down with your fingers. Next, sprinkle the dough and rolling pin with flour and roll out. We fold the layer in four and roll it out again, giving it the appropriate shape. For a thin cake, the thickness of the cake should be about 3 mm, and for a fluffy one - 6 mm. Place the crust on a baking sheet or baking sheet.

Pizza crust can be made from either yeast dough or puff pastry. For the latter, you need to take 1.5 cups of flour, half a cup of water, 100 gr. margarine, a teaspoon of sugar and half a teaspoon of salt.

Homemade pizza dough

Heat oil in a frying pan, add basil and chopped garlic. After a few minutes, add chopped tomatoes without peels, add salt and simmer the mixture until smooth.

Cheese for pizza

Cheese is an integral part of pizza. For classic pizza, it is better to choose aged Parmigiano. Goat cheese goes very well on pizza topped with meat, chicken or bacon. But Taleggio goes well with vegetables or root vegetables. Pizza with tomato sauce and herbs is best sprinkled with ricotto cheese.

While kneading the dough, add flour little by little. Don't make the dough too dense. In many recipes they write that you need to add flour until the dough stops taking it and so that it does not stick to your hands. This case does not suit us, the dough should be soft and elastic. The denser the dough, the heavier the cake, and we need a light, porous cake. The dough will stick to your hands, but do not add flour, but rather grease your hands with sunflower oil.

This is what the dough should look like, now cover it with a towel and put it in a warm place for an hour and a half. You can fill the bathtub with warm water and place a cup of dough in it.

While the dough is rising, let's start cutting the products. Usually we carry out the cutting procedure with the whole family, it is quick, and everyone can say that they participated in the preparation of the pizza. Let's start, for example, with onions. Cut the onion into half rings.

We cut the tomatoes into rings; if that doesn’t work, then you can use half rings. There is no fundamental difference here.

The next step is to cut the bell pepper; if you don’t like it, you can add, for example, fried mushrooms. In a word - improvise.

It is advisable to cut cucumbers for pizza into thin slices - they are softer, and if the skin is hard, then cut it off.

Cut the sausage into small cubes. I repeat once again, don't skimp on sausage, you'll have to eat it yourself.

All that remains is to grate the cheese on a coarse grater and wait for our dough to rise.

When the dough is ready, you will see that it has increased several times.

Grease the pan with sunflower oil, separate a piece of approximately two-thirds of the dough from the main mass and distribute it evenly over the entire surface of the pan so that you get something like a large pancake.

Turn on the oven and set the regulator to 200 degrees. While you are forming the pizza, during this time your oven will heat up.
The final stage has begun. Take three teaspoons of tomato paste and dilute them in water to make a thick tomato juice, and spread it with a spoon over the surface of the pancake. Reserve some tomato for the remaining piece of dough. Place sausage on top in one layer.
