The use of Kuril tea

For medicinal purposes, the leaves and flowers of Potentilla are most often used. For some diseases, a decoction is prepared from rhizomes. When harvesting raw materials for brewing tea, the topmost, young tops of the shoots and flowers are collected. The collected raw materials are laid out on a flat surface, dried a little in the sun. After that, they are dried in an oven or oven at 60-70 ° C, and then stored in clean, dry jars or linen bags.

Brewed like regular tea (1 tbsp. per half-liter teapot), only longer in time. To prepare a medicinal infusion for brewing, a thermos is used, and the amount of raw materials is increased - 2 tbsp. l. half a liter of boiling water. For washing wounds, rinsing the mouth, throat, the dosage of dry raw materials is doubled.

Landing and care

The well-known plant Kuril tea (cinquefoil shrub) does not require special care, it grows normally on any soil, except for too heavy, clayey. The plant also loves sunlight and warmth. Therefore, plant cinquefoil in a well-lit area of ​​the garden.

In the spring, before planting seeds, dig the soil well, add nutrients, if necessary, level it. Plant seeds in small grooves, which are sprinkled with earth. Feeding, watering

In order for the cinquefoil shrub to please you well with bright abundant flowering, it must be periodically fed. Phosphorus and potassium are useful for the plant. Prepare a mixture of 30 g of superphosphate, 10 g of potassium sulfate. Dissolve the mixture in 10 liters of warm water. Carefully water the plants to the very root, take care of the flowers and leaves from burns.

The plant loves water. Therefore, do not forget to water the bushes abundantly if the summer is dry. If there is no drought, it rains periodically, then this moisture will be quite enough for Kuril tea. Every three years, with the onset of autumn, cut the bushes by about a third. You can move the haircut to April. Then cut them by 10–20 cm. Spring pruning promotes active growth and branching.

It is not necessary to cover Kuril tea for the winter. It winters well without any shelter, even without snow.
