Well, well, let's get down to pies again. This time we are baking charlotte in a foreign style. This pie will be a hit during apple season. Here's how to make apple clafoutis, easy and simple. Let's remember!

Clafoutis is a French pie that is very similar to our favorite charlotte. The difference is in the amount of flour. In clafoutis there is less of it, and therefore the pie turns out like a sweet omelet. Together with aromatic apples, raisins and cognac, you get something exquisite that gives pleasure to all taste buds. In addition, a small amount of flour has a beneficial effect on your figure!

Ingredients for six servings

  • Flour - 100 grams
  • Sugar - 100 grams
  • Milk - 300 Milliliters
  • Eggs - 4 pieces
  • Apples - 3-4 pieces
  • Raisins - 50-100 Grams
  • Vanillin - 1 piece
  • Cognac - 3 tbsp. spoons (or rum, liqueur)
  • Salt - 1 pinch

Step-by-step preparation

  1. Sift the flour through a sieve. Add sugar and a pinch of salt. It is better to take flour, naturally, of the highest grade. After all, this is a French pie.
  2. Gradually pour the milk into the flour, thoroughly stirring the lumps. Then beat in the eggs and beat everything with a mixer until smooth and fluffy. And don't forget to add vanilla for flavor!
  3. Wash the apples and remove the skin. In principle, you don’t have to do this (in the sense that the taste won’t deteriorate with the skin). But according to the French recipe, everything should be tender and airy. Cut into thin slices.
  4. Before you start cooking, it is better to soak the raisins in cognac in advance. If you are making a pie for children and are very afraid of the child’s body’s reaction to alcohol, then it is better to do without it altogether. I’ll use the traditional recipe and add some spice with cognac. Place apples in a greased pan and sprinkle with raisins. Mix the remaining alcohol with the dough. Pour the batter over the apples and bake them in the oven at 180 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
  5. If you want your pie to be richer and denser, simply add more flour to the dough. But it will already be a charlotte. The main thing in our dough is eggs. We take out the pie and leave it to cool under a towel. This pie has an omelet-like structure and should appeal to sophisticated people. Bon appetit!

Today I want to offer you a recipe for clafoutis with apples. This casserole pie will definitely please your household and will diversify your usual menu. The apple season lasts a long time, and you can prepare these baked goods every day. Making clafoutis is very simple, and you can easily cope with this pastry.

To prepare clafoutis, prepare the necessary products from the list.

Prepare the apples immediately, as the dough cooks very quickly. Peel 2 apples and cut into small cubes. There is no need to peel one apple, just remove the core and seeds.

Thoroughly grease the pan with butter and fill the bottom with apple slices.

Break eggs into a bowl, add sugar and vanillin. Beat with a whisk.

Add a pinch of salt to the mixture, sift the flour with baking powder. Stir the dough with a spoon.

Add milk to the dough in portions, stirring well. As a result, the dough will turn out liquid.

Pour the batter into the pan on top of the apples, and cut the remaining apple into thin slices and overlap them on top.

Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and bake the clafoutis with apples for 35-40 minutes.

Remove the clafoutis from the oven and cool slightly.

Since clafoutis is usually served warm, sprinkle it with powdered sugar and you can invite your family for a tasting. In hot weather, clafoutis with apples can be served with ice cream.

Bon appetit!

That's right, lazy people! Instead of baking neat pancakes, they pour batter over fruit and go about their business, no, stand at the stove for 40 minutes.
I'm lazy too. And I’m quite happy with one big thick pancake baked in the oven. If you prepare the dough in the evening, then in the morning all you have to do is cut the fruit and put everything in the oven. Excellent breakfast, and there are still 40 pleasant minutes to lie in bed.
Flonyard is the same as clafoutis, only with apples or pears. An excellent addition would be raisins and Calvados; the latter can be replaced with cognac, rum or sweet wine.

In the evening: pour raisins (a small handful) with Calvados.

Mix 100 grams of sugar and 100 grams of flour in a bowl. You can add vanilla or vanilla sugar.

Add 4 eggs and stir until smooth.

Pour in 300 ml of cream or milk (to your taste), mix thoroughly and put in the refrigerator overnight.

In the morning: cut two apples (preferably sweet and sour) and one pear into thin slices. Place in a greased and floured baking dish (23cm in diameter).

Sprinkle with raisins and pour the remaining Calvados into the dough.

Mix the dough and pour the fruit over it.

Bake in the oven for about 40 minutes at 210C.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cool the finished pie until the dough settles and thickens.

Clafoutis is a French dessert that combines the features of a pie and a casserole. The basis of the dessert is a pancake-like dough made from milk, eggs and flour. Clafoutis can be baked with any berries and fruits. Apple, pear or peach clafoutis is called flonyarde.

Today we will bake clafoutis with apples, also known as flonyard.

To prepare we will need:

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • Flour – 70 g (you can use 50 g flour and 20 g corn starch)
  • 2 apples
  • Sugar – 90 g
  • Milk – 350 ml
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. spoons
  • Vanilla - to taste
  • Cinnamon - to taste
  • 1-2 tbsp. spoons of cognac
  • You can add 1 teaspoon of baking powder, then the dessert will turn out more fluffy and taller

Preparation:

Beat eggs with a pinch of sugar until fluffy and strong foam.

Combine flour with starch and baking powder, mix. Gradually add sugar, flour, vegetable oil, vanilla to the eggs, continuing to beat continuously.

Heat the milk in a saucepan without bringing to a boil. Pour into the dough in a thin stream, add cognac, beat a little more.

Leave the dough for 30 minutes to settle. You can also prepare the dough the night before, and in the morning just pour in the fruit and put the dessert in the oven to bake.

Wash the apples, peel them, cut into thin slices.

Place in a mold greased with butter and sprinkled with flour. If the mold is silicone, you do not need to grease it with oil. Pour the dough over the apples.

Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bake the dessert in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 15 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and bake for another 30 minutes.

Allow the finished dessert to cool completely. Clafoutis (flonyard) can be served slightly warm, but the cold dessert is much tastier.

Bon appetit!

Still delicious 😉
