How to make a casserole of grated raw potatoes with cheese and garlic

First of all, prepare the liquid component for the casserole. We will mix this mixture with potatoes to give the dish a delicate consistency and an extraordinary aroma. Mix eggs with mayonnaise.

Grind the cheese on a fine grater and add it to the egg-mayonnaise mixture. Stir the mixture with a fork until smooth.

Now let's start preparing the potatoes for the casserole. Wash the potatoes, remove the skins and grate them finely. If this is done in advance, it will quickly darken and subsequently the dish will lose its attractiveness.

Add half the cheese and egg mixture to the grated potatoes, add Italian herbs, oregano, black pepper, chopped garlic and salt.

Coat the refractory mold with sunflower oil and lay out the potatoes, leveling the surface. Cover the top of the casserole with the remaining egg-mayonnaise mixture and cheese and sprinkle with chopped celery.

Preheat the oven and place a baking dish. The grated potato casserole is prepared for 40-50 minutes at a temperature of 200°. The result is a tasty and aromatic dish with a tender crust and baked potatoes inside.

Now you need to let the casserole cool down a little. Cut it into portions and place on plates. You can top the pieces of casserole with sour cream.

I think that so tender and tasty, with a golden-brown crispy crust of grated raw potatoes with cheese and garlic, it will not leave anyone indifferent. Bon appetit and good mood everyone! 🙂

Video recipe for casserole made from grated raw potatoes with cheese and garlic.

It so happened that after reading the recipe in the morning I wanted to cook it that same evening.

A simple recipe, but it excited me.

Preparatory process about 20 minutes

Original composition

6 medium potatoes
2 eggs
2 cloves garlic
3-4 tbsp. spoons of mayonnaise
100 g cheese
1 tbsp. a spoonful of dried dill (or other herbs that you like)
salt, pepper - to taste

First, grate the cheese and combine it with part of the egg. We will cover the casserole with this

In another container, again grate the cheese, add eggs, mayonnaise or sour cream. I grated the garlic on a fine grater (1 clove, but a large one). By the way, it is easy to grate. Chopped fresh dill

And then on the big one = potatoes. Potatoes last so that they don’t get dark

Mix with salt. Cover with a mixture of eggs and cheese and into the oven, good luck. At 180 degrees, 30-40 minutes

We get our rosy delicacy

Serve with sour cream and your favorite pickles. Getting sweaty is also not forbidden

The casserole rose without any baking powder. It was baked without flour. In general, it was quick, satisfying, and affordable.

The next morning, without this evening lighting, which, like Lenin in Shushenskoye, God forgive

You can clearly see how it's baked

Have a nice dinner or breakfast!

Today for dinner I tried to cook a new dish for me, which won the hearts of all my household - this is a casserole with grated potatoes and minced meat. For the idea, I thank site reader Maria, who advised replacing mashed potatoes in the casserole with raw potatoes, grated on a coarse grater. I dreamed a little, and this is what came out of it.

The grated potato casserole comes in portions and looks very crispy and appetizing. The taste is similar to the favorite Belarusian potato pancakes with minced meat. The recipe for the latter, too, if anyone is interested.

Draniki are fried, but this casserole is especially valuable because you don’t have to stand at the stove. It turns out to be simpler and not so harmful to the figure - there is a minimum of oil.

Let me tell you right away that I wanted a fluffy casserole, so I made a layer of boiled egg. Although, in principle, you can skip this layer, it will be even easier. You can make a casserole simply with minced meat, grated raw potatoes, sprinkle with cheese and pour over sour cream.

I usually prepare homemade minced meat on the weekend. I buy several kilograms of meat, put it through a meat grinder and freeze it in bags with flat briquettes (to defrost faster). In the morning I take out a briquette, and in the evening after work I quickly make dinner from the already thawed minced meat.

So, to prepare this grated potato casserole we need the following ingredients.

Ingredients:

potatoes4 pcs. (average)

any minced meat (I used pork and beef) 400 g

sour cream 150 g

eggs 3 pcs.

onion 1-2 pcs.

salt to taste

spices for minced meat to taste

vegetable oil for frying

cheese 150 g

Number of servings: 5 Cooking time: 80 minutes

Recipe

    Step 1: Boil the eggs

Place the eggs in cold water. Cook after boiling for 10-11 minutes. Then cool under running cold water.

Step 2: Knead the minced meat

While the eggs are boiling, let's make the minced meat. So, take completely defrosted minced meat, add salt and pepper. Instead of pepper, you can add your favorite spices for minced meat, the taste will be more interesting.

    Then knead well.

    Step 3: Fry the onions

Cut the onion into cubes. Heat a frying pan, pour a little vegetable oil, add onion. Fry the onion until translucent golden brown, stirring.

Step 4: Mix eggs with sour cream

Take boiled eggs and cut them into cubes. Transfer to a small bowl, add salt and add a couple of tablespoons of sour cream. I also added a couple of tablespoons of oil in which the onions were fried. I really love this combination - the aroma of fried onions and boiled eggs.

    Step 5: Trem Cheese

We grate regular hard or semi-hard cheese on a coarse grater.

    Step 6: Shred the potatoes

Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater. Lightly squeeze out the excess liquid and drain. Salt.

    Step 7: Form the casserole

The casseroles form quite quickly, so I recommend setting the oven to preheat at the beginning of this stage. The optimal temperature is 200 degrees Celsius.

First, divide the minced meat into several identical large balls. I got 5 balls from 400 grams of minced meat. Then we make cakes 1 cm thick from the balls and place them on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil.

Then add a tablespoon of fried onion to the minced meat.

The next layer of the casserole is to add grated potatoes.

Then we sprinkle the whole thing with cheese.

And the final touch - place a tablespoon of sour cream on top of the casserole. These are the beauties we already have emerging.

Step 8: Bake in the oven

Place our portioned casseroles in a preheated oven. At a temperature of 200 degrees they cook for about 30 minutes. During this time, the cheese browns. Then reduce the temperature to 150-160 degrees and cook for another 10-15 minutes. Time is approximate. Be guided by your oven. These are the things I came up with:

    Step 9: Feed

The grated potato casserole turns out tender and tastes like potato pancakes. It goes very well with pickles - mushrooms or pickled vegetables. Bon appetit!
