If you want to bake a quick, simple pie with cabbage and minced meat, then we suggest you use ready-made puff pastry from the store; it can be yeast or yeast-free. Yeast is different in that it needs to be formed into a product, and then allowed to rise in a warm place for 20-30 minutes before baking.

Ingredients:

  • Cabbage – 400-500 gr.
  • Minced meat 300 gr.
  • Puff pastry – 500 gr.
  • Onions – 2-3 pcs.
  • Garlic – 1 optional.
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Vegetable oil - for frying.
  • Mixture of peppers - to taste.
  • Dried basil - to taste.
  • Salt - to taste.
  • Sesame – 2-3 tsp.

Cooking process:

  1. While you prepare the filling, the dough will defrost. To do this, place it on a cutting board or work table sprinkled with flour.
  2. Slice the cabbage as thinly as possible, and then lightly fry, stirring, in a frying pan in hot oil.
  3. While the cabbage is fried, peel the onion and garlic, chop the garlic or put it through a press, and cut the onion into quarter rings.
  4. Fry the onion with garlic and cabbage, and then add the minced meat to the pan, fry everything together for a couple more minutes, breaking up any lumps of minced meat.
  5. Salt and season the filling to taste with a mixture of peppers and dried basil.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into two equal rectangles.
  7. Place the first rectangle of dough onto the baking paper that should already be on your baking tray. It needs to be slightly greased with vegetable oil.
  8. The filling is laid out on the dough layer, and then covered with a second layer of dough.
  9. The edges of the pie are pinched well, the pie is brushed with a loose egg and pricked in several places with a fork.
  10. If you want, sprinkle the cake with sesame seeds.
  11. Bake the pie with cabbage and minced meat until the dough is ready, since the filling is already almost completely cooked in the pan. Oven temperature – 200 degrees (or use your oven as a guide). Time – 25-30 minutes.
  12. Let the pie with cabbage and minced meat cool slightly on the baking sheet, and then eat it with hot tea.

Cabbage pie on puff pastry


Using store-bought frozen puff pastry, you can bake cabbage pie with smoked sausages quickly and effortlessly, because it doesn’t take much time to prepare the filling.

Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry dough – 0.5 kg.
  • White cabbage – 0.5 kg.
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Onion – 1-2 pcs.
  • Garlic – 2-3 cloves.
  • Smoked sausage – 200 gr.
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Milk – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Spices - to taste.
  • Salt - to taste.
  • Vegetable oil - as needed.
  • Dill, parsley or cilantro - to taste.

Cooking process:

  1. Thinly slice the cabbage and lightly fry it in hot vegetable oil, stirring. Fire - medium.
  2. Grate the carrots, chop the onion into cubes and add to the cabbage, fry everything together for a few more minutes.
  3. When all the vegetables are fried, add a little water to the pan, cover with a lid and simmer until the vegetables are ready. Vegetables should become soft, but stew without sauce.
  4. Season the prepared vegetables with chopped garlic, spices and salt to taste, stir.
  5. Cut the sausage into cubes or quarters. Add it to the pan last and fry everything together without a lid for a couple of minutes, stirring.
  6. If you want, add any finely chopped greens to the pie filling.
  7. While you were preparing the filling, the dough has already defrosted. Roll it into 2 layers.
  8. Line a baking tray with baking paper, then oil it a little so that the cake does not stick.
  9. Place the first layer of dough on a baking sheet, and spread the filling on it in an even layer.
  10. Cover the filling with a second layer of dough.
  11. Connect the edges of the pie tightly to each other, prick the top of the pie with a fork in several places.
  12. Scramble the egg in milk and brush the pie with it.
  13. Bake this pie for at least 30-40 minutes in an oven heated to 200 degrees.
  14. Serve the cabbage pie on puff pastry while it is still warm.

If you like such an unusual combination of filling ingredients as cabbage and fish, then bake a closed pie from soft yeast dough according to our recipe. You can add white or Peking cabbage here, and any fish, the main thing is that there are no bones in it. This pie can be eaten cold, but it still tastes better warm.

Ingredients:

For the test:

  • Dry fast-acting yeast – 1.5 tsp.
  • Premium wheat flour – 0.5 kg.
  • Sour cream – 150 gr.
  • Water – 100 ml.
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Salt – 1 tsp.
  • Vegetable oil – 6 tbsp. l.

For filling:

  • Fish fillet – 0.7 kg.
  • Cabbage – 0.4-0.5 kg.
  • Onions – 3 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Cream 10% – 200 ml
  • Salt - to taste.
  • Seasoning for fish - to taste.
  • Mixture of peppers - to taste.
  • Dry or green dill - to taste.

To frost the cake:

  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Cream 10% – 2 tbsp. l.

Cooking process:

  1. Replace the pie dough. First, sift the flour into a bowl, add salt, sugar and dry yeast to the flour, stir.
  2. Pour in warm water and vegetable oil, add sour cream and one egg.
  3. Knead the dough (it can also be kneaded in a bread machine).
  4. Cover the dough, place it on a warm radiator, water bath or heating pad, and then let it rise twice, kneading it a little each time.
  5. For the filling, chop the onion into cubes, and then fry it in a small amount of heated vegetable oil.
  6. Chop the cabbage thinly, add to the onion, and then pour in the cream and simmer everything together until the cream has evaporated. It is better to simmer under the lid.
  7. When the vegetable filling is stewed, add dill, salt and spices to taste, turn off the heat under the frying pan.
  8. Cut the fish fillet into small cubes, place in a bowl, add salt and season to taste.
  9. Punch down the dough a second time and divide into 2 parts, one of which should be larger than the other.
  10. Roll out the dough pieces a little on a table or cutting board. The rolling pin should be greased with vegetable oil.
  11. Grease a baking pan or baking tray with oil, place most of the dough on it, stretch it with your hands into the pan, forming high sides.
  12. Place the fish fillet as the first layer, and spread the cabbage and onions on top.

  • Ground black pepper - to taste.
  • Sour cream – 1 tbsp. l.

Cooking process:

  1. Peel the onion and chop finely.
  2. Chop the cabbage thinly and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
  3. Heat a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil in a frying pan, fry the onion in it until it browns a little.
  4. Add cabbage and carrots to the onions, fry everything together for a couple of minutes.
  5. During this time, cut the peeled potatoes: you need to chop them very finely, or you can grate them on a coarse grater.
  6. Add the potatoes to the rest of the vegetables, fry a little, stirring, and then simmer everything together under the lid for about 5 minutes. If there is not enough liquid from the vegetables, add a couple of tablespoons of water to help the vegetables stew better and not burn.
  7. After 5 minutes, turn off the heat, add salt to the filling and add spices to taste.
  8. Allow the filling to cool while you prepare the pie dough in a large bowl. Add oil, water, salt, sugar and sour cream, stir well.
  9. Add baking powder (or baking soda), as well as flour. The specified amount of flour should be enough to knead soft shortbread dough in a bowl. And in order to place the dough on the table, add another half a glass of flour or a little more. But don't overdo it, otherwise the dough will be too tight, which you don't want.
  10. Knead the dough on the table for a few more minutes; it will be soft, like yeast dough. To prevent it from sticking to your hands, grease your hands with vegetable oil.
  11. Leave the dough on the counter for a quarter of an hour or 20 minutes, covered with a kitchen towel. And then divide it into 2 parts.
  12. You can lightly grease the baking dish with oil. Spread some of the dough over the mold.
  13. Place the already cooled filling on it.
  14. Cover the filling well with the second part of the dough, tucking the edges in and pinching them tightly.
