Ingredients:

  • grated carrots - 500 g.,
  • dry yeast - 15 g (be sure to check their expiration date!),
  • water - 125 ml.,
  • vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l. for the test,
  • vegetable oil for frying carrots,
  • sugar - 2 tbsp. l.,
  • ground cardamom - 0.5 tsp,
  • ground coriander - 0.5 tsp,
  • salt - 1 tsp.

Homemade bread with carrots and spices

  • The basis of the dough is dough, which is prepared from dry yeast, water and flour. Pour warm (not hot) water into a deep bowl, add yeast, stir. Add sifted flour - half (1.5 tbsp).
  • Place the dish with the dough in a warm place, for example, on a radiator. In summer - in the sun or just at room temperature. Let's wait for 30 minutes for the yeast to take effect and show its strength. During this half an hour, you should not constantly open the lid and look into the pan. It is better when the dough rises calmly, without unnecessary fuss.
  • Fry the carrots, previously grated on a coarse grater, in a frying pan. Add ground coriander. No need to add salt.

  • After 30 min. add fried carrots, cardamom, sugar, salt, vegetable oil to the dough. Mix. Add the remaining flour. Knead the dough with your hands.

  • We get a beautiful lump of dough, a pleasant carrot color, interspersed with vegetables and spices. Place the dough again in a warm place, again for 20-30 minutes. In the meantime, you can turn on the oven.

  • Place the dough in a convenient baking dish. Place in a hot oven (180C) and bake until done, which, as usual, can be checked with a long wooden stick (the baked dough does not stick). If you don’t have a mold, then make a loaf of dough (2-3 loaves) and place it on a greased baking sheet.

The finished carrot bread can be greased with vegetable oil for shine, instead of eggs. Or you can serve it like that. Let the baked goods cool slightly.

Hello!

Today I want to show you what kind of bread I made, baked in my bread machine. There is no such recipe in the book that came with the stove. I just slightly adjusted another existing recipe and this is what happened. This bread is carrot and sesame.

For carrot bread I needed these products:

I measured out the food using a measuring cup and measuring spoons:

Cup = 230 ml

Tablespoon = 15 g

Teaspoon = 5 g.

First, I grated the carrots on a fine grater.


I installed a dough mixer blade into the mold. She poured heated water.

As I already wrote in the recipe for butter bread, the water should not be hot, but warm - 27 degrees.

I poured the grated carrots into the mold.


Next came the dry ingredients. First the flour.


Then - salt, sugar and milk powder.


The butter was already a little melted. I cut it into small pieces and also put it in the mold.


And the last ingredient that went into the mold was yeast.


What about sesame? No, I haven't forgotten about him. You just need to wait a little.

I put the mold in the oven and closed the lid. I set the program to “Russian Chef”, crust color “A” – medium.


I turned on Start. Bread is baked in this program for 3 hours 30 minutes.


After 15 minutes, the stove signaled that it was time to throw in the sesame seeds.

I opened the lid and poured out the sesame seeds. At this time, the dough is vigorously rotated using a dough mixer.


After three and a half hours, 8 signals rang, and the following letter appeared on the board.

The bread is baked. It was a great success! As you can see, it is almost flush with the form.


I took it out of the mold and put it on the side to cool, lightly covering it with a towel.


When it cooled down, I turned it over to its normal position.


Cut it into two halves. To be honest, I did this with great difficulty, as the bread turned out to be very, very soft! And airy! And you can see the color for yourself – yellow.


No matter how hard I looked, trying to find sesame, I couldn’t. But what gave it away was the nutty aroma emanating from the bread!


You can also see grains of carrots in the bread.

The bread doesn't smell like carrots. I say this for those who don’t like the smell of boiled carrots.

Interestingly, the bread remained just as soft the next day!
